Best empanadas Ive ever had. I dont even get them at other places because I know they wont live up to Pollo Brasero standards. The chicken, of course, is the star. The flavor is perfect. Truly finger-licking good. In fact, you might want a private moment alone to just dig in with abandon and finish off every last bit of flavor w/o worrying what you look like. Its that good. It always comes with sides, and we like various combinations of the veggies, mashed potatoes, beans, and rice primavera. Dont miss the chicken, but if youve already been several times before and want to try something new, try their tilapia dish with capers. They do a nice job with that one. As for atmosphere, this is a low-key place. Dine in is fine (clean, open, light, have a decent amount of tables) but not a formal sit-down restaurant. We usually pick up the food and bring it home, but we do also eat there for a change of pace or just to get out of the house. This restaurant is a go-to for my husband and I. Friendly staff and truly fantastic food.

Chicken is great...thats where it ends. The beans are definitely from a CAN dont expect anything special there, or special Latin flavors in anything else. Pretty disappointed that, they have false advertisement of low prices on the web... Once ure in the restaurant they will charge your card with differente prices and once u sign the receipt good luck getting a refund for changing your mind. They will pretend they dont know the web prices youre talking about.

I have visited Pollo Brasero about ten times now. The chicken is moist and spiced perfectly, if you ask me. The Empanadas are the best that Ive had in the Silver Spring/Wheaton area for sure, the other ive had are much drier than the ones found at Pollo Brasero. I give this place an outstanding because the customer service is always very nice and the food is consistent on every visit. For side items I usually pick the steamed veggies and rice and beans.

Excellent chicken! Weve been eating heer for about two years (eat-in and carry-out). Nothing compares. The chicken is delish! The sauces are perfect. Anytime Ive had Peruvian chicken elsewhere since weve started going here, frankly, I feel disappointed. Also, Ive NEVER experienced rude staff. And I dont care how they make their beans. Its all so good!

I was going to sole Ditalia when i ran across this place. I went ahead and tried their food and found it to be breath taking. The owners are peruvians and they pride them selfs making the best chicken around. I would recommend this place to anyone. try it for lunch or dinner. I eat here one a week at most.

I love the chicken. Its juicy and full of flavor. The Wheaton area has many Peruvian chicken places to choose from and this is our go to. I always get yucca. The fact that they have ceviche is a plus for me. Some reviews complain about rude staff, I havent experienced this behavior.

The people there are rude and completely inconsiderate to anyone who is not Peruvian. Chicken is dry and sometimes cold, beans taste as if from the can, and they overcharged me for dark meat twice and never apologized. Save your money.

Good and quick peruvian chicken joint. I usually get the quarter chicken with rice and beans and plantains. Make sure to ask for extra yellow sauce, you might get charged for it though. The chicken sandwich is also really good.

Best chicken in silver spring. I always get 1/4 white with yellow rice and beans and some fried yuca. Get an extra white sauce for the yuca. Place is delicious and fast if you are in a hurry.

This place is ok. Chicken can be dry, beans come from a can, and rice is not always fresh. Pollo Rico is 10 minutes down the road, and is 1000x better. Its also less expensive.
