So I have a Bonchon in Fredericksburg where I live but never went and passed it for years..some reason decided to finally go when I was in Arlington. Best decision I ever made. So I roll in, hungover, and order rice because I thought thats all I could stomach. However, i also ordered the soy garlic wings and drums combo and it changed everything. When people say this is the best fried chicken ever its no joke. To quote my boyfriend "its stupid how good this is". Between flavor and texture, everything was perfect. Their "addicted yet?" thats printed on the box couldnt be more true. I ended up having their wings like 3 more times that week. In fact, the night before, my drunk self ordered pizza and wings from Dominos that I thought at the time were amazing....after Bonchon I ended up throwing the rest of the Dominos away because in comparison, it was trash and I wasnt gonna finish them (this may seem like a joke but its not). They are a bit pricey but my bf and I agreed it was COMPLETELY worth it. ALSO (I dont remember his name) the bartender here was amazing. We ordered our food to go but gave him like a 35% tip off our $40 bill because even though all he really needed to do was hand us our food, he was incredibly helpful between helping us make a good food choice to being super attentive. I cant really get service like that even when Im eating in restaurant at a table thats being waited on.

First of all, I love the food here. I keep coming back for the food, but there are some things I think could be improved upon. On more than one occasion, my wife and I have shown up and had to wait even though we could clearly see at least 4 empty tables. Look I get it. Those tables were for 4 people, and we were only two. But those tables stayed empty for our entire wait (20 minutes until a 2 top opened up), and three of them stayed empty our whole visit. It is just really frustrating having larger groups prioritized over us. Second problem, is that they have changed their portions recently. The smallest order of chicken strips is now 10, which is a lot for one person, and they dont reheat well at all. They also took away a side dish coming with any order. Finally, I really wish there was a medium spicy option. The soy garlic is great, but sometimes I want a little spice, and the hot is just way too hot for me and anyone Ive been with. We have all commented that a less spicy option would be nice. Anyway, the food is great, and I want to love the place, but there are just a few things that could be improved upon to make this place great.

Sinfully delicious Korean wings!! Went for dinner last night spur of the moment- we had a warm welcome and were seated immediately. We ordered 20 wings (its a mix of wings and little drumettes) half and half (half hot, half soy garlic), pork buns, and zucchini fries. The zucchini fries came out very quickly- they were pretty standard with an herbaceous flavor and the spicy mayo dip paired perfectly. Next came the wings and the pork buns right after. The porks buns had perfectly crispy pork belly on a light fluffy bun topped with crunchy slaw and a sweet sauce- SO delicious! Flavors and textures were spot on and our mouths were in heaven. Then the wings- also amazing! The twice fried makes for the crispiest wing youve ever had. Both types of wings were fantastic- Im kind of a baby when it comes to spice but the hot were very good! My mouth was on fire but it was worth it. And the soy ginger were packed with a sweet garlicky flavor. Also had great service. Cant wait to go back!!!! Highly suggest everyone try this place!

Love Bonchon, but this particular one has been a disappointment. Ive eaten at numerous other Bonchons throughout Maryland and DC, and have loved them. I always get the spicy wings and from here they taste mediocre at best. The taste is a combination of the soy garlic with little bit of spicy. Its as if they make one big batch of soy garlic, and when you order the spicy, the rinse it off and then dip them is some spicy sauce, so overall taste is a disappointment because now it not representative of either one. Ive ordered 3 times from here, hoping each time it was just a fluke and next time it will be better, but nope. Wasted my money. Only possibility for the high rating is that the costumers they serve may not realize there are better Bonchon places around or they just really love soy garlic taste. Who knows. Im disappointed because I live so close to this one and its not even close in taste to the other Bonchons Ive tried.

This is a very nice place. Chickens taste wonderful. Actually Im a Korean, but I rarely tasted delicious chicken like this even in Korea. 한국사람기준에서도 여기 치킨 정말 맛있습니다 가격에 비해 양도 은근 많아요 닭다리가 거의 왠만한 여성분 주먹보다 더큼~ 맛도 짱 맛있고 김치 코울슬로 대박!!! 워싱턴에 있는 한국 치킨집이 이정도인데 교촌치킨은 한국에서 뭐했냐?? 한국의 창렬치킨 반성하라!!! 아무튼 한국 사람이면 여기 꼭 가세요 한국에서도 이정도 치킨집은 찾기 정말 힘듭니다

My friends dream was to get a large group of friends at Bonchon for her birthday. I was skeptical at first until I walked in. It is quite large and there is a long table by the bar that sat our very large group of people (40 people I think). We ordered the pork buns (amazing), but what got me were the chicken strips with soy garlic sauce. It comes with rice and Asian slaw and was PERFECT. Between a platter of 6 chicken strips and the pork buns, my wife and I were content for dinner. We each got a beer from their extensive beer list and I ordered a Bold Rock Cider (Love when places have cider). This place is a bit outside of DC, but not as bad as going to Annadale so definitely worth the trip! Id go again for sure and rumor has it they deliver on Fridays! My office will be ordering this for team lunches!

Holy hot spice Batman! I thought to myself as I ate the spicy chicken in Bonchon. They werent kidding with the spice on that chicken. Had 3 full glasses of water to accompany the meal and I ended up feeling more full from that than anything else. I also tried their garlic chicken which I enjoyed much more. The service was alright, a bit slow since there were a lot of people in the restaurant and the staff was having hard time juggling all their customers. Im torn because on one hand, Bonchon has great garlic chicken (and possible other good items in the menu) but on the other hand, the service is slow and the spicy chicken they are famous for is basically a big red chilli pepper. Im going to give Bonchon a 3 star rating since it wasnt great, but it also was not bad.

I have never tried Bon Chons food before but I had always heard of it. I couldnt shake taste of their amazing spicy and garlic chicken wings. Never have I had chicken so ridiculously crispy and soft at the same time. The Spicy was a bit overboard I have to say, but the garlic was perfect in balancing it out. The decor was also very well thought out and had a good flow to it. The whole place is decorated with images in red upon a silver backdrop, an odd mix but it works. Finally, the service here is excellent, my food took a little long but the taste proved that it was worth the wait to be honest. My only complaint is that the drinks arent bottomless, seeing as anyone who orders the spicy chicken would need a gallon of their drink to bare it.
