I USE TO LOVE GOLDEN HOUSE. This carryout was my familys go to Chinese carryout. Last night I ordered a small shrimp fried rice. Half way through my meal I discovered a long strand of black hair (I have medium sized locs). I called Golden House to inform them and they were very understanding, apologized and delivered my meal again in like 30 minutes. I decided to have it for lunch today and guess what..ANOTHER STRAND OF LONG BLACK HAIR. How does someone mess up twice? Either way, Im done with this place now. Dag it!

the woman on the phone that took our order was extremely rude, and when the food came it was awful. It was the worst chinese food that I can remember having. the wonton soup was not made with wonton wrappers, but a very thick dough. The sesame chicken was almost all fat and batter, and the rice had a greasy awful taste. Definitely not a place I would frequent again.

The food was terrible, by far the worst chinese food ive had! The woman who took my order was rude, as if she didnt want to be bothered to take an order, and tge delivery took almost thirty minutes longer than quoted. The delivery guy was very nice however, which was the only plus I can give this place. Even the rice seemed at least a day old!

I think this is the best quick Chinese place Ive ever eaten in. I ordered Chicken with Mixed Vegetables and Roast Pork with Vegetables. The meat was lean, not fatty. Veggies were still crisp, colorful, and fresh, not drowning in sauce or glistening in oil. Tasty, didnt make me ridiculously thirsty later, so Im guessing no MSG.

Glad to see them transformed and relocated from that little golden house that was used to be in the current new silver spring library to this shop. Excellent service after all these years, rocking the wok to provide some handy and delicious American Chinese food for the neighborhood. Call ahead and then pick up, the best way.

The food is over priced they noodles taste nasty. I ordered the general tsos chicken and instead of rice I asked for noodles. So they charged me $3 more and they gave me a really small box of noodles that mostly have vegtables and taste like oil. The chicken was ok but not good. Never coming back to buy food.

I went one day and the lady she doesnt any word in english but she was taking orders. I saw her she was yelling to the customers , she was very rude. They need proper training how to provide customer service.

The chicken in garlic sauce, the egg rolls, and their hot and sour soup is very good. Their customer service could use some work. But over all, I would still go there again.

Usually go here for my General Tsos fix.. Order the combination platter with pork fried rice ans egg roll..economical,yet plentiful! Pretty good fried wings too!
