**** DANGEROUS PEOPLE!!! **** My wife and I went there at 4:00pm on Sunday 10-11-15. We went in the left side of the place and asked if they had a bar to sit at. We were pointed to the right side of the building threw a gate between the 2 rooms. Sat down at the bar. ( no TV) We ordered a nacho with chicken, a Beer and Coke. As we were waiting for food, there was 2 Mexican men that seemed to know the bartender came in and one of them tried 3-4 times to pick pocket me as the other stared at us like he wanted to fight. We choked our Nachos down in a hurry (that was not grilled) and asked for the bill. The bill came to 18.00. I asked why am I being charged 10.00 for the nachos? Menu said $6 without meat and $7 with chicken. The bartender lied and lied and tried to say the chicken was grilled (which was $8 grilled ) She Nocked a dollar off. ($9 cost) Our charge was $3 for pop which was $2.50 on the menu and $5 for the beer which wasnt showed on the menu. As I argued the price (with a soft voice) the female bartender, picked up a small black batt/club from the other side of the bar and placed it in front of me, then behind the bar intimidating me. We paid ($17) which was over the menu prices and left because we were scared about what about the bartenders plans and with the thugs and club/batt issue. I should of called the police and reported it. Also... My wife said there was No Toilet Seats in the bathroom at all! Just dirty porcelain to sit on. But the bolt holes there for seats. We walked many miles from the National Campground to eat here, leaving our motorhome behind. With all the good reviews, This is the biggest real dump I ever been in out of 52 states we have traveled and my wife agrees. This is not a area or place to trust your credit card in...

Muy mala experiencia la que pasé en este lugar el menu muy mal organizado confuso para cobrarle más a los clientes la comida horrible y cuando pedí hablar con el gerente o encargado del lugar porque me estaban cobrando 27 dolares por unas fagitas de pollo que de paso estaban horribles me manda a decir la encargada que estaba ocupada no lo recomiendo a nadie no vayan a comer a ese lugar se van a arrepentir es una porquería aparte de todo huele a cantina .

Been here 3 times now and love everything I have tried. The food is fresh and tasty, the atmosphere is nice. The service is good, the food comes fast. The drinks are also very tasty. This is my favorite Mexican place in the DC area The means are well priced with large portions. I will definitely be coming back everytime Im in the mood for some good Mexican food, which is quite often!

Forget the food and whether its bad, good or great. The neighborhood that this restaurant sits in is the Pits, with a capital P. If you go there, makes sure its before dark, and have someone guard your car while youre eating, and make sure that person can speak English. After all, its PG County ... and at its worst.

I have been going to this restaurant since I was a little girl and I am 49 now. After moving to Florida in 1977 I go to the Alamo anytime I come back to visit my daughter in Virginia. Its worth the 3 hour drive it takes for me to get there from her place . Best Mexican food you will find anywhere!

Nice place, kinda cozy, and has some really good lunch specials. Ive tried the quesadillas, burritos, chimichangas, and tacos. Everything tasty while they serve you with generous portions. Ever since I tried the chimichangas though, I wont get anything else. I love em! Great place to grab a bite!

We took my grandparents to the Alamo on Friday and the food was great. This place has been one of my grandfathers favorite restaurants for 50 years. First time weve been here and just a great surprise.

Everything here is fresh and made with love. It definitely shows! Once you eat here, everywhere else will be a disappointment by comparison. The cooks should be sainted. Pro Tip: You want the lemonade!
