TL;DR The waitress threw out $35 of our food, then gave an F-you to the time and effort we spent on the crabs. Horrible service. I never bother to review anything, but I am now because you need to watch out if you go here. The waitress (Carla I think her name was) only came by to throw stuff away, the wrong stuff away, and needed to be located for anything else. Shes the reason for the score. The biggest grievance was that we spent over half hour collecting all the meat from our last 8 crabs to take home. We stepped away to wash our hands and came back to find... SHE THREW AWAY ALL THE MEAT! And all she had to say was "oops, well you should have got to me sooner". WTF!?! It was on a clearly separate plate away from the shell bucket. On top of that she took away our half basket of fries we wanted to save next to the crab meat plate, and, also tried multiple times to remove things from the table while we were still using them.

I would never even give this cafeteria a 1 star rating. The owners need to invest money on food seasoning instead of slot machines. Shack is right everything I ordered was under cooked and not seasoned at all, the staff there are rude and does not know how to take a single order. The crab cakes need to be removed from the menu they charge $29 for a over cooked under seasoned patty of imitation crab meat, what a disgrace! How they are still up and running seems like their families are the only ones that eat in this cafeteria please shut this shack down! Not worth a PENNY!

Had a great dinner tonight! Crab special was 19.99 AYCE small males. They were fabulous!!! My son Caleb had the chicken tenders basket ( not a seafood lover) he loved it so much he ordered another side of fries. Daughter Emily had 1/2 lb steamed shrimp and hush puppies, super delicious! Mother n law had the steak and side salad and fries. She loved it and spent most of the time in,the casino they have, she won some money! Woot! Terra was our server. She did a great job! Definitely will return very soon. Love the water view!

We never had the chance to try the food...we where in the waiting list and was passed over because we didnt want to sit by the front door but in the main dining room. The "manager " told her employee to skip them and go to the next person. Someone came in substantially after us and was told to have a seat put on the same list and was seated beforw us and also told the staff someo left so she and her family could be seated....im not impressed with the area and IF I ever return I will not attempt to patronize this spot.

This restaurant has been a long family favorite. The perfect crab is served here, along with many seafood varieties, and home cooked meals for the family. Looking for a place to take the kids and your family for crabs, this is the place. The Abner Family has been a long time favorite with generations of locally caught and cooked food. The family is there to see that everyone enjoys the time spent, and if youre lucky enough Bobby himself will visit your family and share his many legendary stories of the Chesapeake!

Do NOT come dressed for dinner, unless dressed means a bib, jeans, shorts or T-shirt; you are going to be happily messy with the fresh blue crab served. Oh my! The all-you-can-eat crab nights are the best! Covered in juice, sticky fingers and face and big smiles are common and expected. Situated at the mouth of a small marina, it is the place true fisherman and crabbers alike enjoy. Great for families, and in no way proper, but overall magnificent crab! Oh, and they have other stuff if you must.

The crabs used to be great, but now theyre a bit soggy and watery. Little Abners Crabs near Waysons are MUCH BETTER and Tasty. The casino itself is the worst. Years ago, folks would actually win and nowadays they walk away with nothing. Feels like youre gambling or donating just for their new renovations and new staff. There is way too many people working now and way too many losers. Rod and Reel has captured 90% of their customers. Disappointed-- the machines are definitely fixed.

Our first time there was today. Almost walked out because the hostess was clearly irritated we walked in and disturbed her on her cell phone. Casual is an understatement here but their fried oysters were done perfectly!!! Over cooked everywhere else in the area. Our waitress was great. Samantha was attentive and on top of things without being intrusive. She smiled, made eye contact and was actually the reason we stayed...

Poorly trained staff and management, not fit for large groups, rude wait staff, took almost an hour to get appetizers and they tasted like they were cooked in old cooking oil,it took 50 minutes to get steamed crabs, lets not forget to mention that it took more than 30 minutes to get an uptight waitress, I will not be back and will not recommend this place to anyone ever

We took the kids to Abners during the Summer to have a weekend meal, and we were less than impressed. The quality of food is average, and the prices are much higher than average. The kids didnt enjoy their food, and the adult food is nothing to write home about. We really want to like the place, because it is local and would be great for seafood, but we just dont.

This place is a good, small town crab house with a friendly staff and reasonable prices. Also, they have slot machines. Its a good time. There is a police security presence on staff at all times in the gaming room. Good, clean, safe, friendly, and fun. Dont go if you expect a first class restaurant, go if you are looking for a great time.

This is your typical Twisted Crab Shack service was adequate prices were reasonable but not in the Great Value range. I do believe that both the crabs and the shrimp were overcooked. The atmosphere is very touristy. Overall was an average touristy place probably I will try somewhere else just for the jest of it

Went a couple of weeks ago - what happened to the crab cakes? - not what I remember a few years ago. Sorry but I dont think wed go back again. Sorry for the 2 stars but it just wasnt good - too much filler and bland and tasteless.Staff was pleasant - liked the lobster tank in the front

Greeted by Annie and helped my party of 7 to the outdoors. Extremely courteous and very warm and friendly service. Food also was delicious. Fresh food and amazing flavors. I had the Abners steam pot and loved every bite of it. Definitely coming back when in town!
