The first time we visited the food was great, the crabs were HUGE and the service was decent. I say decent because the waitress was a bit different and talked to us about her problems which was a bit odd. The second time was nearly a year later and it was a total disappointment that ended up with my mom crying. Two of us ordered dinners and my parents ordered crabs. They were told the crabs would take 30 min and all sizes were there. The waitress came back a few min later and said jumbo were gone but the extra large were there. (They refer to their crabs by the price per dozen but this terminology is more well understood.) We waited 45 min and then the dinners came out with the salad and it was cold. The crabs came out tiny little things and the waitress said they were down to mediums. This struck us as odd because the table beside us had ordered their second round of crabs about 5 min before we received ours and they got theirs, a dozen of huge crabs a few min later. Overall the service had been atrocious before that and that just set us off. The waitress made a few excuses then acted EXTREMELY rude and just hardly came back. I spoke with management on duty that night and according to our waitress she was "chewed out" about our service, but there was no attempt made to make our experience any better. We will not go back which is a shame because it was so good the first time.

They have a different sizing system than Im used to- so when I ordered large males I was a little disappointed. I ordered 1/2 dozen large male crabs for $19 and got 7 crabs, but one was diseased and inedible. The large males seemed more like the small crabs that I got at another place with the exception of 1 crab which was actually quite meaty. To their credit, they offered 3 or 4 much larger sizes that Id never heard of before. They werent overly spicy, which I like- but Im used to rinsing some of the spice off my crabs and I didnt need to do that with these. I will probably not order from here again.

If you want steamed crabs, crab cakes or crab imperial, this is the place to go. I grew up in Baltimore and now live in San Diego, so when I go for crabs, I want heavy crabs that are worth eating. This restaurant will be candid about the quality of their crabs and will not push higher priced steamed crabs. In addition, their crab cakes are made with backfin lump crab meat and no filler. Their crab imperial is a large portion with a delicate sauce. You will not go wrong driving to this restaurant in Middle River.

I ordered one dozen crabs to go and paid $40. Nine of the crabs werent edible, they were basically empty. The three that had any meat in them tasted as though they were leftover from the day before. I threw the entire dozen into the garbage. I could have saved myself the trouble and just thrown the $40 in the trash instead of wasting time with this place.

Went to Cran Quarters for the first time tonight and boy i can tell you i will NEVER go back. The food was nasty and the service sucked also. Spend $40.00 and still came home hungry. The crab cakes had so many Shells in it that was nasty. The cream of crab soup and regular maryland crab had no taste but plenty of Crab SHELLS... Never again....... Omg

I will never go back there it looked like kids running thing 5 waitress by the front door talkin loud and the older woman that seem 2 be the owner was yell at the staff for everyone to see and hear there was no one at the bar are waitress could make the drinks we asked for all I will say is save your money

We literally waited over an hour to get our food, other tables came in and were served before us. When our food was served the waitress had all of the sides on the wrong plates and left us to figure out who ordered what. Very unprofessional, we will not return.

Had softcrab sandwichmade exactalyas I asked the crabs were sized prefect if anything leg may stick out they were so big also they have super friendly wait staff who alone would be a Rawson to return again for crabs or drinks
