Ive been to The Frying Pan a few times for breakfast. Its an easy joint for us to hit up for when we are in the area, but I have felt each time that most people could make much better quality food at home for a fraction of the price. They do have crispy scrapple, so thats a plus. The service is also friendly and fast. Still my spinach, mushroom, tomato omelet I had last time had issues. The spinach tasted and looked canned or long-frozen (certainly wasnt fresh) and really ruined something that could have been great. The mushrooms and tomatoes were weak on flavor as well (a 1 minute saute of the mushrooms would bring out significantly more flavor). Home fries are crispy, but seem heavy on the oil. Corned beef hash is canned and kind of gross. Ive also had the oatmeal which was the ultra-instant kind lacking in flavor or texture. The bacon is very crispy and tasty so I am glad they got that right. Wish they had more pride in the food they send out... It would be so easy for them to make spectacular omelets! Perhaps its the lack of local breakfast competition that feeds their complacency. I really love mom and pop type places, but I think I was just looking for better quality fare. Another note, the saggy drop ceiling is stained and offputting. Kind of takes away from the ambiance which I think would be great otherwise (knotty pine walls!)

If your out of town or a local its the best home cooked food you will find in Southern Maryland. I have recommended the Fried Sea Scallops and the Fried Jumbo Shrimp, if you love seafood you will find none better in the State of Maryland. Another favorite is the Fried Zucchini, you cant beat it! Location off the path in Lusby,Maryland but if you enjoy Scallops and Shrimp look no further. I have visited many food establishments in the Maryland, Virginia and D.C. area and have yet to find a place that can beat the food. As a family we have been coming to The Frying Pan since 1971.

Absolutely amazing. Everytime I come in I get something different and they never cease to amaze me. Extraordinary service no matter how busy it is there always polite and try there best to keep up with you through out your visit. And my compliments to the cook she does a great job on everything. Whether its breakfast or lunch/dinner everything is always cooked with lots of flavor and just how I like it. I recommend this place to anyone wanting a great meal.

if you are hungry and I mean really hungry do yourself a favor and stop here to eat, the portions are massive,I ordered s roast beef club and gave half of it to someone else, way too much to eat, the food is very good here, and the people are really friendly, talked to the owner and he gave me the entire story of the restaurant, and the waitress(holly) was awesome, stop in and have a bite but be prepared to bring some home✌

Loved the service. The pork BBQ was excellent. Didnt have ginger ale but the waiter knew a truck to make it and it tasted exactly like ginger ale. Ice cream was really frozen though. The place itself is in need of fixing up but it was quiet and friendly. Prices for sandwiches and chicken and stuff werent too high. Some sea food items were a little high, but looked to be worth it. Totally would do again. . .

Tonight was out first night there. We started out with the Onion rings which were Amazing (very crisp and perfectly cooked). My husband and I had their baked chicken and it was really good. I also had their green beans (good)and Lima beans (under seasoned). Kids had chicken strips and French fries, which were also good. All and all it was a really good meal...we will definitely go back!

I was introduced to this place by my friend Judi in 2004 and I liked the place. I hadnt eaten here since 2006 but was in lusby Md. in late March 2015 and decided to stop by. The breakfast was awesome and nothing has changed in the many years that I wasnt in the area. If your looking for mom and pop type of food youll love this place as I do. Hope this helps. JC

If you want a good meal that is anything like southern style home cooking this is the place. It dies need to up grades to the place. The owner seems to not want to spead any money to get more customers ro return. No sweet tea and no foutain soda. Soda is served out of cans as the soda fountain that is in the establishment has not worked for years.

If you want the best classic American-style breakfast and no concern about counting calories, cholesterol and fat, this diner is perfect. The waitresses are super welcoming and always make sure your coffee is topped off. Lots of locals here grabbing a bite and no fancy tricks here. Just simple delicious food that will keep you full for two meals.

Horrible..... the waitress was nice, but the wait for the food was rediculous. I ate 2 bites of my sandwich and felt sick. Even the drinks had a nasty taste. The music was loud and obnoxious. My fiancees food was under cooked. We were both severely sick from only a few bites of the disgusting, greasy food. Never go to this horrible place!

If you are counting calories or following night low cholesterol diet do not bother coming here but if you enjoy a good loaded Hardy breakfast this is the perfect place no no protection of being an elegant place. Is your common garden-variety Diner but you will discover that the food is nothing but extraordinary

One of the true gems of country living is a local diner off the beaten path. Simply the best part of living in Lusby was a regular breakfast at The Frying Pan. The food is great, the ambiance is wonderfully low key, and the coffee just keeps coming. Do yourself a favor and get off the main road and stop in.

We had the best onion rings, the best soft shell crabs and one of the best rockfish sandwiches weve ever had. Weve been going to the Frying Pan for years -- its about 50 miles from where we live, but well worth the trip! The décor hasnt changed very much over the years -- but is pleasant enough.

A friend and I are always looking for places to eat that are not a chain restaurant. We stumbled on "The Frying Pan" because of other reviews on Google and Trip Advisor. The food was yummy and the waitress was great. We will be coming back to eat breakfast again.

Ive been going here since 1991. You cant find food like this anymore, especially at these prices and in these portions. If youre in Southern Calvert County and youre looking for a good hearty breakfast or a delicious home made lunch - this is the place to go.

Good ole mom and pa restaurant with that vintage patina that comes from years of hard work, blood, sweat, and tears. Good food at a reasonable price highly recommend!!!!!! From the best Uber service in St. Marys to the best Mom and Pa restaurant this is Joe.

Down home cozy family owned business with good food. Nothing against IHop but if you are in the area go here for breakfast instead. The best streak and eggs ever and the short stack with an egg and hash browns will fill you up.
