They are not supportive of black culture. I was told that the DJ could not take request for hip hop because it is "too aggressive" according to management. And the DJ had played four rap songs consecutively and expressed how he could not play anymore rap songs because he would "get in trouble" and "lose the gig". The manger expressed how rap music incites too much aggression. How does music cause individuals to fight ?! Im pretty sure the alcohol has more of an influence. This has been going on since 2015. I graduated from Towson Universiy. I use to frequent Towson bars during my undergrad. CVP was not always like this. This has been going on for about two years. In 2015, a sign was posted up on the DJ booth saying "no Future and no Fetty wap." (Rap artists). The sign was an attempt to discourage fans of rap from attending the establishment. Looking at the large sign felt like looking at a welcome mat saying "your culture is not welcome here." CVP does not support black patraonage therefore black patrons need to not support CVP.

Baptism by fire!! Where else could u get stranded in Baltimore & have the staff bail u out? It was a frigid Super bowl Sunday nite & I could not get a cab to save my life. Jackie u saved my butt! Kudos to the kind & caring CVP staff to include T.J. & Jackie. Im a CVP customer for life!!

This is a great pub if youre looking to share some drinks with friends or grab one of their tasty meals; the chicken cheesesteak never lets me down! If you have trouble with the service, I suggest you check your attitude because everyone seems pretty friendly to me.

Standard neighborhood pub as far as food and drinks go, but you come here for the people. A cross section of the surrounding neighborhoods and Hopkins students, there is always an interesting conversation to be found. Bartenders and wait staff included.

Not your ordinary pub! The guests (which is how they treat everyone) have almost as many tales to tell as the super friendly staff. Looking for Cheers in Baltimore? Found it! Great craft beer selection and their homemade chili is ridunculous!

Nice pub, sportsbar, food, and the people are friendly. When the university is open, its their pub. Now is the time for a visit if you dont like the college crowd. Sunday Brunch is pretty good.
