My family and I stayed at the Harborside during our Bar Harbor stay, but werent in the mood for Italian, so we didnt dine there for dinner or lunch. However, this is the best breakfast place in town! After going to the much-hyped Jeannies, which isnt anything special, we went here for our final breakfast of our visit. It was amazing, and we were bummed that we hadnt eaten here previously. The prices were on par or cheaper with other places in town, the service was extraordinary, and the entrees were large and beautiful. In addition, we sat on the patio overlooking the resorts pool, harbor, and several islands. I had the lobster Benedict - simply wonderful, and looked great with regard to presentation. Very tasty, big claws of lobster, and even the standard fare on the plate (breakfast potatoes and some fresh fruit) were really good. My daughter had an amazing hot chocolate, and the French Toast and sausage was brilliant (and large portions) as well. My wife raved about the La Bella Vita Scramble, which again was picturesque and unexpectedly delicious (pesto with eggs? who knew?). They do allow non-guests to dine in, so instead of standing on the Cottage Street sidewalk waiting for an over-hyped, under-whelming breakfast at Jeannies, I recommend you walk down the hill to the Harborside and step in for breakfast.

I enjoyed the best meal of my life here! The seafood stew with generous helpings of haddock, lobster, shrimp, clams and a perfectly balanced tomato sauce - a wee bit toward Diablo, but the seafood was the star! Excellent wine list with a friendly and very knowledgeable waitstaff .... The view of the harbor also lovely. Definitely a panacea to the rush of Bar Harbor.

Stumbled upon this place. With our dietary restrictions, we honestly though wed have to walk out after reading the menu. But! The waiters (Mike, Gummy) & the kitchen crew (especially sous chef Ryan) really took special care of us. We were so absolutely blown away by not only the service & care but the food itself. Go! At once!

I went to the island for my 40th birthday and this was a huge disappointment. The menu was not the same and it was not romantic or overlooking anything so horrid I canceled my plans and dinner here and went else where.Noone was even helpful while I looked at menu on wall

Looks dressy and fancy, but reasonably priced and you can definitely go for dinner in more casual clothes. Really nice atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating, and great staff. The bread served with marinara sauce was amazing and everything we ordered was delicious.

Amazing food! Its a beautiful restaurant that offers indoor and outdoor seating. You can dress up or come in casual clothes. It looks really expensive and upscale, but the prices are very fair. Definitely worth a visit when in bar harbor.

Amazing atmosphere, friendly service, and most of all, got our food in about 10 minutes! Deffienately coming back here again. We both got the build your own pasta. Highly recommend, especially the sausage.
