I had a very good experience here, but nothing stood out to me as exceptional (or horrible for that matter). The good: Service was more than excellent. Our server Kennedy was friendly and prompt, and couldnt have done a better job. Next, wow, the beer selection certainly has gotten better here over the years, both bottled and draft beer. Impressive! Prices on beer were pretty reasonable also. I also appreciated the numerous selection of wing styles and sauces. I remember when they just had mild, medium, and hot. Unlike their menu says, I didnt need a NASA computer to determine the # of combinations, its 4,194,304. But really appreciate the number of options they have. Though i just got wings and fries, it looks like their whole menu has expanded which is awesome. The bad: My party sat on the lower patio outside, and only 1 table out of 5 had an umbrella. On a day with full sun, Im not sure why the remaining umbrellas were sitting on the ground under the stairs. I didnt ask for our server to set it up, nor felt like grabbing one and setting it up myself while having dinner, just something that should have been set up since lunch IMO. Bone-in wings had an excessive amount of breading. Boneless wings were very small relative to other restaurants, yet still over $1 a piece. They charge $0.79 for celery - sorry, thats supposed to be included for free - and it costs more for any ranch or blue cheese - close to $2 to get celery and dip which is otherwise included at the majority of restaurants that sell wings. You can buy a bundle of celery in the store for a buck, not sure why they feel the need to make money off of celery of all things. And my final nitpick is that their 2nd hottest sauce (spicy garlic) was not super hot at all. When I get one of the hottest hot sauces at a restaurant, I expect to be blown away. It had very good flavor, but they need to have hotter sauce options esp given their large selection.

It amazes me how this Hooters gets 3-4 stars on average and even a few 5 star reviews. I stopped going to this Hooters a few years back when the Tilted Kilt opened in the Cincy area. BTW, Tilted Kilt is a much better place. Sadly, TK isnt renewing the franchise license in Cincy, and they are closing. I thought I would give Hooters another chance, as they have remodel this store. The remodel was worth 1 of the 2 stars I gave, because seating area furniture updated, and the bar now faces the Ohio River, instead of the kitchen area. Be warned that the windows arent tinted or no blinds and the setting Sun can be bright. The other star I give to the bartender, TJ. She was always polite and asking how I was doing. Only downside was that when she got busy with service bar drinks, the bar customers got ignored. Not her fault as she was a little overwhelmed at the time. I think there needed to be 2 bartenders on duty, one at full bar, and one at the service bar. The food didnt taste the good, and was way overpriced. Come on... 7 boneless wings that were no bigger than a small thumb for $9. Also, the first order came out with no breading, but manager gave me a new breaded order, still small though. Also, I noticed that most of the girls werent friendly or smiling. They acted like it was a burden to do their job.

Hooters on the river is probably my favorite to go to. Theyve got a small pier for docking personal boats to so you can enjoy Hooters or the other place on the barge from the river, outside seating on the rivers side edge so you can watch the river & traffic, and of course the normal tvs everywhere and other atmosphere expected at such a fine establishment. Service is better here on average than Ive experienced at most others, and food is almost always great. Tea is awesome. They keep the crowds from getting too terribly rowdy when big sporting events and such are going, but its still a fun place to be for sure. And theres a designated smoking area, per KYs public smoking allowance, so the inside area and majority of the place are non-smoking. Well secured, it hasnt broken free from its dock in a long time! Definitely worth the stop.

Worst service ever. Beers took 25 minutes to come out. Food came out one thing at a time. It was cold and incorrect. Im piss off about waiters just grab the burger and said " burger? " !!!!! Come on !!!! We are 4 people and who are the one order burger !!!! And they even doesnt know whats on the burger . And the wing are cold and my burger didnt come with fries while we are talking to the manager . Its ridiculous !! There were 15 tables with no one at them but there was a 25 minute wait. Manager took care of the bill but if you get Marisa as your server you better ask for someone else she was terrible. But the manager are awesome and super nice but Im not sure I will come back here again or not . Im really upset about this restaurant , cuz its my first time come to here and got the worst server experience !!! Good luck !!!!!

Came in to a half empty reaturant with 4 adults and 3 children and still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. While waiting, I ordered a beer at the bar and it was lukewarm with absolutely no frost or fog on the mug. A second beer came out the same way. The infamous fried pickles were on happy hour and like a religious fashion, we ordered some. They came out and it seemed that half price means half the portion. The reason its 3 star and not one is because I brought it to the GMs attention and he made things right. The view of Cincinnati and the Ohio River is great at the Hooters in Newport. The GM is very responsive. The staff was appropriately friendly. The food product was subpar to the standard that I expect from Hooters. Well be back thanx to the GM. I wish him well on addressing the issues.

Visited this location on Sunday before the baseball game, arriving a little before they opened at 11. Decent line of people in line, hostess took names for all, and then we just stood. They seated a party every couple of minutes, while the majority of customers waited around by the entrance. Too slow considering all of the servers were just hanging around waiting. After a 15 minute wait, finally got a table. Then no server showed up for over 5 minutes while we sat there. Still not busy, most tables empty and people still waiting to be seated. Finally got up and walked out. The restaurant is very nice, but if thats the level of service, wont ever be back.

Being right on the river, this location gets an extra star for the view. Hooters has improved their menu in recent years and I truly like the cheese steak sandwich as well as several flavors of wing sauce. The problem is that the service on my last three visits has been just terrible. Not only did it take forever to get our orders but the waitresses rarely checked in for refills and never explained why there was a 30-45 minute wait for the food. Had it only been a problem once, I would attribute it to a bad day, but its been consistent since their remodel last year. Would recommend going elsewhere unless youre just there for the game or the scenery
