First of all, I am a truck driver. So, I have eaten at several location in Illinois. Including: most of the Chicago Tollway plaza Panda Express; I-88 Tollway Plaza Dekalb Panda Express; Effingham Panda Express, next to the T/A truck stop; and, the new Panda here in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Overall experience of any Panda Express is 50/50. Either the food has been sitting too long or, they dont make enough when its very busy. When they do have plenty of food after it slows, they still give you mediocre portions; (depending on food server). Other than this location, never had a serious problem with the rest except for dry food or Honey Walnut shrimp that made me sick. This location, (second visit); my broccoli had black fungus on it. (That was the broccoli beef). They kindly exchanged the entire single side with, something else - free of charge. Another time I ate here, ( as usual with the other Panda Expresss), got sick from Honey Walnut shrimp. Stomach cramps and diarrhea. I expect that when a restaurant serves poultry or shellfish, "they really should" pay closer attention to; "how long the food has been sitting AND, if it was cooked right in the first place!!" Someone gets botulism, business gets sued. Lets hope that never happens with Panda.

I usually dont do reviews on google, but the service and quality my boyfriend and I got today can not go unrecognized. We arrived this Panda Express around 11:20 am, I realize they did open up at 11:00 am but both my boyfriend and I have worked in food retail before. They did not have all the food out on the line yet, and we watched an older lady wait for I bet around half hour to get teriyaki chicken. We did not have to wait because we ordered orange chicken but the chicken and rice was not fully cooked. The restaurant was also very dirty and unsanitary. Coming in and out of the front doors you could see dirty and smudges on doors. I believe something needs to be changed with the ways they market their restaurant or they need to close this one down.

The food has generally been good (when they have it...), but they are almost always understaffed, and as a result, wait times of more than 10 minutes just to wait to order is expected. They generally try to operate with only 4 employees, leaving either the drive thru or the front line neglected as usually 1 cook in the back struggles to keep up. The sitting arrangement is horrible. 1/2 of the seating is set up around awkward tables with awkward chair setup. People want booths, and there is a lot of wasted space where booths could be implemented. Also, many times they havent had there ice machine working, which seems like an easy fix.

I just came from Panda Express at 4:30 today and the food was not fresh and this is not the first time I have experienced bad quality food at this location only. They charge an extra dollar for steak and try and give more mushrooms than steak. I had to ask for a little more. The noodles were not good at all a very old batch is what I got. I did not realize the terrible quality in food until I left to go home, as I went through the drive thru. Wow. This is why so many people are at Chic-fil-a great quality, fast service, great people and fresh food there.

Went through the drive thru and waited at the order screen for about 7 minutes and no one helped me. Pulled to the window to see 3 employees just standing there. Pulled around and went inside where there was no one in line, and asked if their drive through was working and the guy said he had just put the head set on. I ordered food and the lady who was taking my order was nice but had her phone that kept buzzing sitting on place where they serve food.

Most poorly mismanaged restaurant Ive even seen. Its like a comedy of errors when watching them fill orders. Food is overcooked. Our "fried rice" tasted like it was fried with burned utensils. I even think I tasted the old pink-paste oven cleaner we used to use in the hospital kitchen. Ill never go back to this restaurant and cant wait for them to be replaced by a new franchise.

Food was dry but not horrible. They ran out of string bean chicken. The noodles were hard so we knew right away they had been sitting out for a while. Weird seating would prefer booths instead. The tables are right next to eachother in a line. The seating area and soda area was also messy. Would not recommend spending your money here or wasting your time.

Ive ate at the Panda Express at this location, but not at the one inside Lindale Mall. I just ate here not too long ago with a buddy of mine...great food, but the place was very busy, they ran out of what I wanted, and I had to wait 5 to 10 minutes for them to cook it. This place is well worth its money though for the quality of food youre getting.

If I wasnt so hungry and didnt hate wasting food it would go directly in the trash. Worst fried rice orange chicken Ive ever had. Is this meat or some cardboard rubber hybrid? Never going again. Ill be surprised if I dont get sick. If you go to this place regularly you must be the spawn of Satan or just like nasty food whatever.

This place is an absolute joke! I was told 8 minute wait and someone would bring it out to me 25 minutes later I go in to find out they are out again which means after I paid for it they gave it to others and what do they do for the inconvenience? Heres your money back. Will not eat there again.

Awesome service! Me and my friend were served by the manager Luis, he was so kind and made sure our food was fresh and hot he also packed as much food on the plate as possible! He was also very kind and inviting to all the other guests, the food was good as well!! Thank you Luis!

First time at this location. Always liked Panda Express, but will not go back the service extremely slow, but worse yet the food was Cold!!! the fried rice was so dry I couldnt swallow it . If I could go lower than one I would. Waist of $15

Terrible! Tried to serve the last little bit of broccoli beef that had literally maybe four tiny pieces of beef in a double serving. Noodles were not cooked all the way. Awful service, awful food. Will NOT be returning. Would NOT recommend!

Always out of most everything and thats without it being busy. Wish they would serve consistent portions too. Dont be afraid to make more food at the cost of wasting some panda!
