I have been going to Eggroll (House) for at least 5 times a month for the last 3 years or so. The interior has changed little, and is a little bit run down, but I like to refer to it as "Rustic" and gives the restaurant character. They get so much carry-out/deliver business they probably dont focus on the interior. The food is one of the quickest carry-out or dine-in, even during their busy hour Ive waited 10 minutes tops, sometimes only 5 minutes or so to get my food. The portions sizes are very big, Ive only finished my meal maybe once. The egg rolls are good, fried rice is very good, and my favorite entree is the Orange Chicken, which I have got every single time Ive ever gone. Its not a gourmet restaurant, and the lunch deal is very reasonable and you get what you pay for. The people are very nice who work there and most of the time even remember my order. For what its worth, Eggroll will always be a 5/5 for me.

Seems to me most of the people here commenting or criticizing are total snobs, and I enjoy nice decor along with my food, but when my food is delicious (and generally a take out item) Im willing to overlook the cosmetic flaws. The place is not dirty or disgusting. It is small but well kept. The food is not ALL oil. There are specialty broths and sauces. Ive eaten at this establishment (as well as the one across town) and found that their consistency is good, out the door time is good, and service is good. The most important factor? The food is good. Before accepting someone elses snotty opinion on something form your own. I urge you to try eggroll house. It is definitely not the most authentic, not the most gourmet chinese, it is ultimately worth your time and money to order.

I waited an hour for delivery. I am very disappointed.. all of the food seemed bland and canned.. i was starving and really excited when the food finally came only to be disappointed. Waste of $40 of food for my family. I felt disgusted eating it and couldnt finish it. Even my kids turned their noses up at it and they LOVE chinese food. The crab racoon tasted like nothing but a stick of cream cheese. The egg rolls tasted like dog food and again all the food seemed canned.. my husband ordered sesame chicken and it was dry and undercooked. Just disgusted.

Tried the Kung Pao chicken. On the minus side, yes, it was a bit on the watery side as others reported. Not quite soup, but halfway there. But then, thats what your rice is for...On the plus side the sauce had just the right amount of spicy kick so I didnt have to ask for anything extra, which is what I usually have to do in Chinese places around here. The place is a bit small, and decor is nothing spectacular, but when youre having a decent lunch, who cares? Anyway I thought the pluses outweighed the minuses, and will be back.

I love the Egg Roll House! Im a frequent customer, both dine-in and takeout/delivery. The wait times for your food are very short and the staff is friendly! The food is always delicious and at a good price! My favorite item on the menu is the Kung Pow chicken lunch special! If you dont really like spice in your food the House vegetable beef is great too! If your looking for great Chinese food at a good price and in a hurry then I highly recommend Egg Roll House!

I just moved to Cedar Rapids a month ago and this was my first attempt at delivery Chinese. I ordered Hot Braised White Chicken and it was what you would expect of Chinese... Nothing out of the ordinary as bad, as of yet ( I just finished it...) and it wasnt the best Id ever had but Definitely a place I would go back to. I liked it a bunch, will recommend friends to try... Good Eats.

If i could put no stars i would!! I recieved horrible service here!! I recieved the wrong number of egg rolls and crab rangoons. I went back to recieve my money back for the items i didnt recieve and they refused. They fought with me for 30 minutes and told me that I was lying about my order. I will never go back to them.

Ordered Kung Pow Chicken. They dont put mushrooms in it so I asked for some. They were canned. How hard is it to get fresh mushrooms?? Also, the sauce was pretty much all oil and it was a light reddish/orange color. Every other time Ive had kung pow chicken its been a dark brown *sauce* not oil.

Crab meat Rangoon and eggroll were my favorite here, no disappointment here for sure. Really friendly manner. There are so many good menu so when ever I came here, it is really hard to decide. I recommend spicy Mongolian beef. The people who live in Iowa, must go this place.

Frequent delivery customer. Good food and decent price. Nothing super amazing but I dont have any complaints and Im thankful for that. Theyre my go-to for Chinese delivery in CR. I like that they add extra sauces even if you dont order an app. About 40min delivery time.

Best Chinese food ever. Ive been doing business trip around the world and like to try all Chinese restaurant there. Eggroll house in Cedar rapids is the definitely best one. Watch it!. its addictive. My favorite is "Kungpao chicken, Szchuan beef, Hot sour soup".

First of all, I fell in love with this place, whenever I stop by at Cedar Rapids I come here and eat their food, so delicious I love it and I just want to live in this restaurant. People are so nice and freidndly and there are so many fantastic options of food.

Well...it was decent food i suppose but I ordered a noodle dish and it was quite literally the 23 cent Ramen with shrimp. It was good Ramen but not what I was expecting. Egg rolls were good and crab Rangoon were too. Fast and friendly service!

Really friendly Chinese restaurant, and mostly really good food and they serve fast. I loved wood Asian work inside of restaurant, they are awesome, I thought I was eating at art museum. I am very satisfied with their service and food.

omg, best Sesame Chicken ever!! took off a star because their egg rolls were not spectacular (hello, name/branding?). rangoons were good & gooey, and when i asked for extra (extra) sweet&sour sauce, they went above & beyond!

After we moved away from CR I craved hot braised white chicken. Im back for a visit and it hasnt changed in 20 years. So delicious and satisfying. Restaurant looks good too, nice and clean, this place is an institution.

Not the best Chinese takeout place in the city, but their Sesame Chicken is pretty good. On top of that- you cant complain about a place that delivers! I like them and I will continue to order from there.

Good food, but check your to go order to make sure you get what you ordered. If something was wrong with the order then call and they will make it right or give you a break on your next order.

Compared to the other Egg Roll House location, this place was a dump. It was unclean, trash was overflowing, and the service wasnt very good. The food was also bland - overall, not a good experience.
