After driving past Tin Angel hundreds of times I never had the desire to eat there. The facade lead me to believe Angel would be outdated and dingy (which is definitely not the case). It ended up being our last option for what we hoped to be a decent meal on Valentines Day (there were other options but wanted somewhere weve never been). So, by default, we made reservations. Because of my preconceived notions I was surprised at the decor. Exposed brick, fireplace, and charm were not what I expected. (Please leave your, "cant just a book by its cover" lecture to your 8-yr olds). The reservation times were right on schedule, the staff was friendly and valet needed on this rainy night. The hoopla- I will begin by saying that all 4 diners loved their food. I cannot comment further because Im a veggie and didnt try theirs but it all looked delicious and they were very pleased. We started with the mushroom brie bruschetta and it was perfectly seasoned and savory. Next they brought warm herb bread which almost didnt need the butter that accompanied it. Following shortly after was my butternut squash and goat cheese lasagna. I must say that this entrée was wonderful but my favorite part was the spinach on top with the cream sauce on the side; perfectly crafted! There were large chunks of tomatoes in the lasagna which were delicious and it was evident the food was fresh. The chef allowed the food to speak for itself and the clean flavors were clear as day! We ended with one apple and one (v-day special) chocolate dessert. All were wonderful and a satisfying light way to end the meal. Dessert closed the meal perfectly without overshadowing everything else just consumed. The staff was as it should be; friendly and forgettable. I don’t want to walk away remembering the server who acted like it was his job to make me laugh all night or pretend to be my best friend. I just want them to do their jobs, be polite and friendly, and allow us to enjoy our food and the company of the people we came with. Our waitress Connie did that perfectly. Thank you for a great evening and will be back.

I was visiting my daughter in Nashville and stayed just down the road from the Tin Angel. We went for brunch and had the best fried green tomatoes and cheese grits Ive ever had in my life. I introduced them to my sister who was traveling with me. She had never had them in her life and is now sold on fried green tomatoes and cheese grits. I highly recommend this place. We also had the sweet potato biscuits. Not at all what we were expecting. Instead of the biscuits being made with the sweet potatoes, they made a sweet potato jam to spread between the biscuit pieces. Yummy. I love many places in Nashville, but will be back here my next visit.

Portion sizes are ridiculous~~meaning beyond TINY!!! My husband and I were so disappointed with our first experience here, and we will not be going back. We are fitness/sports people and dont eat a whole ton of food, but we left this place STARVING! Discovered that we both felt the same way when we got in the car, as we did not have a complaint-fest during our meal...so I called to speak with someone about it since I basically never leave negative reviews. Well, the manager was supposed to return my call and never has. I went to their website and sent an email, and still...NO reply. Bummed at the money spent here.

EVERYTHING was Delicious! When your salad is exceptional, you know its going to be a great meal! Warm Goat Cheese Salad was very good. We also split an order of Calamari- the pepperoncini aioli has just enough of a little bite of spice. I ordered the Fall Bounty Pasta with shrimp. It was AMAZING! Such unique combinations of flavors-very much a summation of Fall. Husband order the Grilled Beef Tenderloin. It was perfectly cooked- a melt-in-your-mouth cut of meat. Wish I had room for dessert! I wouldve ordered the Mango Vanilla Bean Crème Brulee....Next time!

Not impressed-they squeezed us in a tiny table in the very back right next to the kitchen (where the swinging door are and you can hear the cooks). I had to ask the waitress to bring us bread since every other table had a basket and she didnt offer. The food was decent, nothing spectacular. I wouldnt go again for dinner because of the crowd and I guess next time I will have to specify I dont want to be shoved in a table in the corner.

My second time @ Tin Angel and they do not disappoint! Lovely laid back atmosphere. We started with the caprese bruchetta. For entrees we had the winter bounty pasta and the filet. Dessert was the Apple blackberry crumble with homemade cinnamon ice cream. Everything was delicious. Reasonably priced. Our server was great! Not sure about weekdays but you probably want to make a reservation on the weekend...just in case!

Dear Tin Angel, last nights Valentines dinner with the love of my life was impeccable! I read reviews to determine just about everywhere we go and feel that if the service and food is always as great it was last night with you guys a 5 star rating is always a given, simply fantastic! Very pleased from the moment we sat down, the service, the wait, the ambience (very romantic), dinner and desert was wonderful!

Our first time with Tin Angel was the middle of February 2016 on a Wednesday evening. It was absolutely fabulous!! The wine was great, the food was great, and so was the service. We arent from here, but if we are ever back, we will definitely return to the Tin Angel!! I do recommend reservations if you eat much past 7:00 pm, because even though it was a Wednesday, it was busy. Thank you Tin Angel!!

I remember driving past Tin Angel when I first moved to Tennessee when I was 15. I instantly wanted to visit it. Well it took me a good 10 years before I tried it and I wish I hadnt waited so long! The food is interesting and delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and intimate. The staff was accommodating and friendly. I have only been for lunch and brunch, but I would assume dinner would be just as great.

the first place i recommend to people in nashville looking for finer dining. comfortable neighborhood place, but best to dress up a bit, no pretentiousness, emphasis on taking care of you without being stuffy, ny attitude in the best sense of the term. menu trends toward bistro favorites (steak frites, seafood pastas, etc) done very well if not spectacular. great bar, interesting wine choices.

if you want to know where the west end locals go, head over to the tin angel. the dinner menu is selectively delectable - offering the best pork schnitzel this side of the atlantic as well as a lobster & shrimp risotto that will have you licking the bowl clean. the clientele and staff alike are unassuming and friendly against the back drop of tin ceiling tiles and candle light.

We have been coming to the Tin Angel ever since they took the spot from 32nd Ave Brasserie (were dating ourselves!) This restaurant is our perennial favorite. The food is always good and the restaurant has a warm and vibrant atmosphere. We enjoy trying all the new restaurants in town, and love many of them, but Tin Angel is and probably always will be our favorite.
