Probably my new favorite place for breakfast! We decided to try out Yolk after reading some other reviews and knowing that its something new in Downtown Indy. There is a lot of construction going on across the street with the new YMCA being built, so I feel that parking is a little harder to find (there is access off of Delaware St for public parking). We found a spot and headed in. When we walked in, this place is huge. Tons of tables and booths to comfortably seat any sized party. We were quickly shown to our table and our sever came over right away. She took our drink order and gave us plenty of time to be able to explore the menu and make our decisions...which is hard to do because they offer so much! Finally narrowed it down and placed our order. I decided to go with the cinnamon roll French toast with a side of bacon. My partner went with the build your own skillet with a side of red velvet French toast. Our food came out pretty quickly and was everything that I was hoping for. My French toast was so delicious. Moist, flavorful, and all around delicious. I cannot stress how tasty the food was. The bacon was cooked to perfection too!! From what I gathered, the skillet was delicious and very cheesy. The red velvet French toast was very rich and had cream cheese in the center. The food alone will make me go back again, and again! The service, on the other hand, was equally exceptional! Our waitress was very friendly, and personable. We did have to ask for a drink refill, but everything else was so awesome that Ill allow this to slide. The dining room is very open, and has a very modern vibe to it. The booths have high backs, which makes it a little more private and blocks out conversations that may be happening behind you. All in all, an awesome experience, and I will definitely be back again...and again...and again!!!!!

Im a sucker for all things brunch- And Yolk meets all of the necessary criteria for a satisfied stomach: -A Strong Menu- Whether my taste buds are craving sweet or salty, the menu has a plethora from steak skillets to omelettes to red velvet french toast. -Heaping Portions- Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so you either have enough food left on the plate that you know you cant fit another bite, or you power through the deliciousness. -Yummy Food- Ive had drop dead amazing chicken and waffles to average nutty monkey pancakes, but nothing that didnt deserve to be devoured, though they could work on their bacon crispiness. (fyi- try the strawberry orange juice) -Friendly Service- The wait time has finely hit just a few minutes on busy Saturday mornings! They are over that new restaurant rush but still remain packed to the prim. They even accommodate large parties well. For a group of 10 they initially told us 40 minutes but had us seated in 15! The only draw back is that parking can be a pain and the prices are a little higher than they could be. Its purely the great spread of menu options that puts Yolk above other Indy Brunch sites in my book!

Its a good breakfast spot, but it didnt blow me away. It was pretty crowded on Sunday morning (big surprise), so we sat at the bar. Took quite some time to get service, and then the waitress only took 3 of our partys orders out of the 4 of us. Felt a bit like second class citizens at the bar, which is maybe to be expected on a busy Sunday morning. Ordered a turkey burger with bacon, avocado, cheddar, and egg. The bacon was left off, but I didnt get charged for it. The turkey burger was pretty bland, but the fries were good. This place just didnt live up to the hype for me. Probably more like a 3.5 star. EDIT 10.4.2015: Came here again for breakfast, but got an omelette this time and sat at a table. A solid 4 star restaurant now. Omelette was great, and my girlfriend got the healthy breakfast waffle, which was delicious (though honestly, probably not that healthy).

What a great place for breakfast! I will definitely be back several times in the near future! the menu was HUGE and the food I had was amazing! I decided to have the build your own skillet and Red Velvet French Toast! I love anything Red Velvet, so the French toast was awesome! The skillet was packed full of fresh ingredients and was almost too much food for me. The interior of the restaurant is modern and stylish, but Im not a big fan of the Cobalt Blue, Yolk Yellow, Grey and White color scheme...Reminded me too much of IKEA. Other than their choice of colors, everything was great! Prices were reasonable.

Indy needs more good brunch places and this place is so close. The menu is interesting although poorly cooked and over-priced. The location is convenient but parking isnt the best. A mimosa or Bloody Mary would be so nice with this kind of menu. The coffee is good but not great. And you generally have to wait for a table. Expect to drop around $20.00 for a dish and drink, which as I said before is a lot for what you get. The only thing that I can speak very positively about is the service, although its likely not enough to get me to become a regular. Heres to wishing that they can pick it up a bit.

Food was amazingly good! I visited today with a group of 13. I had the Croque Madame. This ones a must try as those at my table sampled and wished they had ordered it. I chose fruit instead of the red potatoes. I was very surprised and pleased with the fruit as it was not the usual cantaloupe and honey dew. Instead they served fresh grapes, pineapple and orange (photo posted). Serving size was more than enough as I was literally stuffed all day and the price was unbeatable. Menu selections are plentiful so I cant wait to return to try more options. Thank you Yolk for the amazing food and experience!

Service was presentable and friendly, if not cordial, in front of the counter; back staff was plain faced, feigning all but slack jaw control: older and younger staff. Food was twice cold, syrup was warm, almost enough; they were helping me stay on the coffee wagon by not refilling my poison of choice as often: being as the doctors have intentionally poisoned my gallbladder with nonnative meds, my life partners, like my gallbladder, were taken care of in that regard, even if the fiend in me wanted to go Carrie.

Nice place. Very aesthetically pleasing and its connected to a museum. Went here to eat some breakfast on my last day in Indy. I ordered myself a hamburger and some dessert (french toast? Im not sure what its called). We got to sit right in front of the space where the cooks leave the food for the waiters and I liked seeing that. Staff was always moving around and our waiter was friendly. It does get pretty packed though, with a wait time of 30+ minutes! Would definitely check this place out if in the area

20 minutes after we order, the server comes back and informs us that the restaurant is out of hollandaise sauce. How that happens is completely beyond me. I personally ordered the Nutella crepes, with a side of bacon. The crepes came out, without the bacon, and also without NUTELLA. I opened every single crepe and not a dab of Nutella to be found. By this time my bacon finally arrives, and I just ask for the check because reordering my food would make us late for work. Solid 1/5 experience.
