Came here once with my partner. Soon as we seated ourselves, I waved over the nearest employee to ask a question. I asked him "I want to go to the bar to order us some drinks, but Im not sure if Im supposed to wait for a server. Would it be okay if I get us drinks from the bartender? Just dont want our server to think we left" and the dude totally snapped on me. I didnt realize that he was one of the servers because it was our first time there. He told me he was a server and that my question was dumb.....if looks could kill then I would be dead because he had such a deep look of hatred in his eyes. I felt so uncomfortable that I said "its my first time here, Im sorry for asking, I just didnt know and wanted to know if we could go to the bartender but still have our table, I meant no harm in asking" he then rolled his eyes and sarcastically said "yupp.....sure you didnt know". Ive never felt so humiliated and belittled before in an LGBT bar. As a gay person, I should feel the most comfortable in a bar with LGBT people. But that flamboyant rude server was just down right mean for no damn reason. Will never go back to that bar.

Ill give it 3 stars only for the drinks. They have a decent variety and the prices are pretty standard. However, dont get the food. The soft pretzel appetizer is just a microwaved frozen pretzel. The tater tots were good, but also could have been microwaved. I ordered a chicken sandwich, and the bun was soggy, so I ate it with a fork. Eat somewhere else on Mass Ave, because there are just too many other good choices.

Delicious, inexpensive menu and great service. Ive only visited twice during busy events, but the waitstaff and bartenders did an excellent job with the large crowds. They hosted our large volunteer group from the YMCA at the Athenaeums Breakfast with Santa event. Also, there are 2 bike racks and car parking right outside the door. I will be back!

After going along mass Avenue and having expensive craft cocktails and food, you sometimes want something predictable. This pub has good strong drinks that wont break the bank. If you want a nice typical bar burger they will hook you up. The bartenders are friendly but wont bother if you just want to hang out and have a few.

Came in around 12am for a drink, bar was kind busy... Server/bartender walked past our table 3 times never acknowledged us, we sat there for 10 minutes then the bartender walked outside as her friends were leaving. As we walked out she was standing on the sidewalk socializing with her friend. No reason to ever go back.

Good atmosphere but the food is subpar. We chose this place because they were able to broadcast the college ball getting we were interested in watching. The pork tenderloin was great, but the bun they put it on was completely burnt.

Great food, cheap beer. Place has a regular crowd but they are glad to serve anyone. This bar goes by many names and is known far and wide in Indianapolis. Its a great place for anyone to stop for a bite or a drink.

I have been going to Mass Ave for years. Tracy the owner is there every day and Betty and Amy are the best. I love the people there and the food is great. Keep it up Mass Ave
