Are you a Carmel mom that wants to drink wine with other Carmel moms while hitting on younger men, all while not leaving the comfort of you own neighborhood? Boy do I have the place for you! All joking aside that is the vibe of this place. Overall the restraunt and theme are styled well and definitely inviting. But thats where the troubles start. Firstly let me say our server, Victoria, was amazing and very knowledgeable about everything and beyond pleasent. That being said upon being sat at a table in the bar and left with menus there is no way you can attempt to read with out holding it up to some source of light not provided by the establishment, whether your lucky like myself to have some dim setting sun light left or if like the people set shortly after us who were forced to use a the flashlight on their phones. Its just honestly silliness. After ordering a server passed with a few plates to which I immediately made the comment "God that smells like dirty feet", a half our later our pizzas arrived only to find the "baby cheezus" we had order was in fact the dirty foot smell. I am not exaggerating when I say the pizza reaked. It was so bad I made them box it up so I didnt have to smell it. I couldnt even eat a full piece. That being said the pepperoni piquante pizza was pretty good. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients though it was a bit scorched on the bottom. The breadsticks were very good. And the side car sauces were very interesting in the way you can add it to your pizza to alter the taste, though nothing could over power that stinky foot pizza. Ugh.

this place pretends to be an upscale pizzeria. It reminded me of the emperors new clothes. The people in the resteraunt while i was there had to be pretending to like this pizza IT SUCKS. The crust of our "pizza" was so charred i had to use 3 napkins to remove the black from my hands. I would comment on the sauce but there wasnt any. The homeade sausage was good but there were only six-eight peices on the entire pizzaThere was a rediculous pile of onions on top of our oval charred flat tasteless pizza.heard someone saying they were going to open more neighborhood pizzology. Id waite till the novelty wears off and people actually eat here before opening another. Obviously someone needs to go back to pizzology 101

I went during lunch. The place was empty, the pizza was bland and way too oily. The mozzarella was super thin and congealed. It is a good concept, but poor execution. I had a very nice server, who helped me find vegetarian options. I took a salad home. The salads are "made to order" and I requested that it be made vegetarian only to find pieces of meat at the bottom of my salad. It was not busy...the chef/cook should have taken more care in preparing the salad to be MEAT FREE. I wish there was a good place to eat in Carmel for vegetarians. I hate going to restaurants who say they use local, fresh ingredients, but dont appreciate vegetarian eaters who are attracted to their restaurants for those reasons.

Whilst looking for a casual date one evening, I stumbled across Pizzology and decided to venture in. The place was packed, but my date and I did not have to wait long for a table. Service was very prompt and friendly that continued through the entire meal. The meal arrived quickly and was fantastic. Great ingredients combined with a little love made for one awesome pizza. They have an ample selection of wines, with the majority from Italy. True love is found in the beer selection with offerings from local brewhouses Brugge and Sun King. Way to keep it local boys! Overall, great experience, well be going back again soon.

I love the food here, let me state that first. The problem is that they dont have enough indoor tables for families, so there is inevitably a long wait here. They have a big bar area which is usually half filled, and a big enclosed patio, which its hit or miss whether the weather will cooperate. Then there are about enough tables to seat six or seven family-size groups. State law wont allow kids to sit in the bar area, so people stand and wait. Its tough saying this, because I do love this place, and would recommend it to everyone, provided you get there early enough to snag a table.

VPN style pizza. Great flavor, crunchy crust, thin in the middle. We like the homemade sausage. Also, the fresh mozzarella with arugala applied after it comes out of the oven. I have eaten here the last two nights and got carry out three nights ago. This pizza style does not favor carry out, far better to eat the pizza fresh from the oven. Mussels are good as well for a starter. When I bring home the pasta pomodoro, I get the large thinking we will have some left over. Never happens. We like to sit at the bar. Full bar with an Italian wine list.

I heard amazing reviews of this place, so I went there for lunch with a couple co-workers in the middle of the week. Service was painfully slow. The place was not busy at all, only a couple other tables there, and it took over 55 minutes to get a mediocre pizza after we ordered. Lunch took 1.5 hours, and the pizza was "OK" at best, but not worth the time, money or rave reviews I had heard from others. Ingredients were sparse, and the flavor was bland. The atmosphere is nice, but I strongly recommend Some Guys Pizza, or Cool River Pizza instead.

Theres nothing else like this in Indianapolis. What you have at Pizzology is authentic pizza the way it was meant to be made and served. At $13 a pie, its an incredible value. The poor reviews Ive read on here are out of bounds. Some sound like theyre workers/owners of other pizza places, and others sound like they like Pizza Hut and Papa Johns over the real thing. If you want truly authentic pizza that youd get from Naples, give it a try. I absolutely fell in the love with the place and cant wait to go back!

Pizzology is by far the best most authentic pizza in Indy. I am a native New Yorker and I can honestly tell you the pizza here is just as good as the best you will find in Little Italy. The dinners are also excellent. I could find no other pizza in Indy that even comes close. They have the correct imported ingredients, the correct type of wood burning oven and most important they have mastered the art of authentic neapolitan pizza the same way it is made in Naples. Once you try Pizzology, you will be hooked!

We had the Lombardi. Cheese, arugula, prosciutto, all good. Good tasting pizza, except for the crust. When you pick it up, its floppy in the middle, and you have to eat with two hands. Im from the Chicago area and we have two kinds of pizzas were known for. Our classic deep dish and our thin and crispy. Im used to thin and crispy and this pizza was not that at all.The dough was on the chewey side and thats just not what Im used to . Again, good taste, but will probably keep looking.
