I never write reviews but my experience was SOOOO bad I had to this time. Our meal started with me ordering a sweet tea. I was brought an unsweetened tea instead which I didnt complain about because I have been trying to lose a few pounds anyway. Then I saw black flakes floating in the bottom of the glass. I sent that back and was given another after about 15 minutes (presumably them making a new batch). I ordered a burger, fries, and salad. I had to ask for my fries to be brought out since they forgot those. My date got the gumbo, and two tacos. The toast was black (burnt). The rice in her gumbo was so dried out it didnt even seem like it was ever cooked and the vegetables were completely raw in the soup. Even after that we were still patient with our meal. The lime for the tacos was dry and very bitter and the sauce tasted funny like it may be a little rancid. Then we saw a dark hair embedded in the top of her taco. It must have been from the kitchen because it was covered with some of the topping. I decided to call a manager at this point. He wanted to know what he can do and we told him to take the food away. I was so disgusted by that time I still had all my fries and over half my burger left and I didnt want to finish it because of the apparent sanitary state of their kitchen. The manager coaxed me into taking it with me although I threw it away when I got home. We asked how food like this could even get out of the kitchen to be served and he gave excuses about how the toast only cooks for 10 seconds and is hard to get right. I tried to explain to him again that this issues with our food could be seen prior to being served but was given more excuses. I finally understood that he didnt really want constructive criticism; and he only wanted to appease us instead of dealing with any issues his restaurant may have. He comped the gumbo and tacos but still charged for the tea, burger, and fries. He also gave me a card for a free meal up to $15 and let me know that I would not be able to get any difference back if the whole $15 wasnt used. He then apologized to the waitress that this happened and said "This is the food industry" as if this is normal for them. Although I should have refused to pay anything I paid anyway and decided to share the experience. Maybe they will read this and realize they could make more money by making their staff produce quality and keeping an eye on what they are doing rather than comping meals to avoid the real situation. Dont go there.

Let me start with we did have a large party; it was about 20 people or so getting together for a good friends 40th birthday. We did not expect to have speedy service but we did expect decent service. It was a Friday night as well so again not expecting miracles here. The air conditioning was on (it was only 45 degrees outside) and fans going so it was very very cold inside. They finally turned the fans off but kept the air going full force. We were freezing the entire time our party was there. On the flip side as we were leaving the entry way was nice and toasty as the heat was on there. Once most of us were there we did order fairly quickly. It then took about an hour for our food to come out. One persons did not come at all and they brought someone elses THREE times when it was correct the second time. Server did not come to check on drinks until we had been waiting on our food for about 45 minutes. Then the refills took around 10 minutes when half to two-thirds had water. We had people show up later and they still got their food before the persons whose meal did not show. He ended up having to get his to go because he was going to work. Everyone who got a burger (most) stated that their fries were cold and burgers were only lukewarm. One burger came out completely wrong. No one wanted to send their food back because it took a long time to get it in the first place. I am not a fan of Cheeseburger in Paradise anyway as we have always had a bad experience at this one in the past but it was our friends favorite place. I think next time we will not eat but still go to be with our friends if they choose it again. I have let all my co-workers in my call center know how bad the experience was as well when they asked next day how the dinner went.

The food was amazing. The service was horrible. My first, and most likely last, visit to this location. We were seated and told that Erica would be our waitress. She took our drink and appetizer order and returned with the appetizer and half of our drinks. We had no napkins and no silverware so as we waited for the remainder of our drinks, my brother went to gather the necessary items. Our food order was then taken when Erica eventually returned with the drinks and, what seemed like an hour later, she brought our food orders and VANISHED. We had to get up and ask others for drink refills. No empty plates, glasses, etc were ever removed from our table during the course of any of this, leaving us to try to dine amongst remnants of appetizer plates and glasses. When we were ready to leave, we had to locate Erica to ask for our checks and when she brought them she told us to make sure and look them over because they might not be right!!! They werent but we had such a frustrating experience we werent about to suggest any corrections. Funny how it didnt take Erica long to collect our cards and rush back for us to sign. Needless to say her tip was not what it could have been. Had we seen she was overwhelmed with tables or making an attempt at good service, we would have each tipped a minimum of 20% but since we basically were fending for ourselves, we didnt. We all tipped because we know its not an easy job, but the service certainly didnt warrant the amount that we left.

Unbelievably disappointing. I was really looking forward to trying this place and I was finally in the area, so I went in (just myself and my kid). SO BAD. Please spend your money literally anywhere else. I was seated immediately which was great, but the place was pretty dirty. it took my server ten minutes to come take my drink order. I then waited another 15 minutes to get my drink. I waited another ten and my server still didnt come back so I was grabbing my stuff to walk out and he finally showed. I stayed because I had been dying to try this place...wish I had just left. I ordered a burger, chicken nachos, and chicken strips for the kid. Food came quickly enough after I was finally able to order, but there was a hair in the burger and the chicken on the nachos was the same as the lunch meat I buy at the store. My server only stopped at my table to take my order and to give me my check so I never got any silverware or napkins. I had to go to the bar and get my own. To add insult to injury, my server lost my credit card and I had to find him and tell him it wasnt in the little book thing with my receipt. It took him awhile to find it (I saw him looking all over the floor but he found it in the back somewhere). SO BAD.
