First let me just say Olive Garden has always been both my and my familys favorite Italian restaurant. I, personally, have been to Olive Garden all over the US! However, its a shame how one experience with an Olive Garden poorly managed Olive Garden can ruin this. My mom and I went to this Olive Garden. We are total vegetarians. We have never ate meat for a very personal and dear reason to us. We told the waiter this as we always do and ordered vegetarian dishes. However the waiter not only got the order wrong, he brought us a chicken soup. My mom did not know and started eating it and half way through we realized what he had through us. This was very big for us as we have never ate meat before. I can tell on my moms face how much this hurt her. And when we talked to the manager of this store he did not care at all about our values. He simply said mistakes happen and tried to bribe us with a free meal. We asked him that no, our beliefs hold far far greater value than to accept such a bribe. And all we would like from him is to tell us how he can make sure this kind of thing doesnt happen at his store. We didnt want other vegetarians to go through the experience my mom had to unfortunately had to go through. However he simply just shrugged as if he didnt care and said if we cant take the free meal there is nothing he can do about it and told us to leave. So not only did this restaurant step on our beliefs from a mistake their waiter made. Which is unfortunate, but mistakes do happen. But the manager didnt care at all and treated us very poorly over a mistake his employee made. He acted as if he didnt even care and I am sure he didnt the way he asked us to simply leave. This is not the way you treat customers let alone ones that your restaurant did something wrong towards. After this I have NEVER gone to an Olive Garden again. This is the real unfortunate thing. Ive gone to Olive Garden and even order take out all over the country many times. But because of 1 person that did not know how to do his job and to address a simple and very reasonable request from us, its left a very bitter taste in our mouth that has made us avoid olive garden completely.

Can sum it up easily: The food, reasonably priced for a boxed chain restaurant. Atmosphere, again on par with what Olive Garden Corporate says it should be. Food quality was relatively good. Service on the other hand...HORRIBLE. I would assume that employees are required to have some level of training but our server couldnt have been more off the mark if she had tried. Did she sleep through her training? Either she really didnt much care about what she was doing or was clueless about how to do it. Beyond the reasonable food and cookie cutter decor she was the primary reason that we chose to eat-pay-and get out ASAP. Youre rolling the dice at this location. Maybe youll get a decent server...maybe not. Just remember in Vernon Hills there are TONS of other choices...keep them in mind.

Food was good. OG always produces an inexpensive but good meal. What was horrible was the fact that there were several tables pushed together to accommodate a larger party consisting of 6 adults and 6-8 kids plus an infant. When the kids were done eating, they began to run around, chasing each other around the table - screaming the whole time. Shame on those parents for allowing their children act like that, but bigger shame on OG for not doing anything about it. The kids even ran directly into the servers carrying trays of food, drinks and dirty dishes. The party left a huge mess of food and garbage on the floor and the table. I wont go back there again if management wont keep control of put of control patrons!

I love the food from Olive Gardens, its one of my favorites Italian restaurants, my family and I visit this restaurants every so often. But this one, was the exception. They have a really bad service, the bread sticks were old, the waitress didnt offer cheese on my daughters dish. She left the plate and never came back. We wait for more than 20 minutes, we need it more napkins and a refill and no one came to ask us, how we were doing. Finally after more than 20 minutes wait, another waitress told us if we needed some boxes, by then our food was already cold. The only thing I can say, is that my family and I had a really bad experience here. I will no recommend this particular restaurant. I will never ever go back.

Okay - the service was great and our waiter was quite exceptional! It was a very busy Sunday evening, so although the food took awhile to come, it wasnt that bad if a wait. My Lasagna was very tasty and my meal hit the spot. However, my sons cheese ravioli had obviously been sitting under the warming lamps too long because the edges of the ravioli were curled up and hard as beef jerky. We sent the ravioli back and his Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was great. They made it right by offering free deserts, albeit we had to leave, as it was late. They didnt charge us for two of the meals. Id still go back because the service was great.

The specials on web & tv are very misleading they advertise $6.99 and list 5 entrees and state more at low price. But in reality only one of those lunch entrees are $6.99 the other ones are over $9.00. Service staff also feels thats it is misleading. And considering I said something at the begining of meal the service was not that good at all. Refill had to wait almost done with my meal so really had nothing to drink while eating.

We enjoyed our dinner at the Olive Garden Restaurant last week. They offer an ample selection of beverages alcoholic or not, and food choices will keep us coming back for more. There is a deal on now that gives you a second Entree for the price of one. We ordered our dinner and our take home extra dinner at the same time for the same one price. The chicken Alfredo and ravioli dinners were very tasty. This is a must do meal

The food was amazing. Customer service was outstanding from the moment we were greeted at the door (Jose!) all the way until we walked out. Our waitress was also very sweet, outgoing, attentive and prompt. (Cecelia) very quick service as well! me and my bf agreed that we walked out in better moods than when we had walked in. Overall was just an unexpectedly lovely experience! We will definitely be dining here again :)

Party of four for lunch on a weekday. Slow service. Horrible food. Chicken was undercooked. Sauce was oily and separating. Complained to manager about food and he proceeded to argue with us that the food is supposed to be like that (corporate makes us do it). WHAT?!?! Weve eaten here before and it wasnt as horrible. Were now scratching this OG off of our list of places to go for lunch.

we ordered for take out just before they could close, when my husband went they said there was no order in. we were disappointed but ended ordering the same order next day. when we went to pick up they said yesterday you ordered the same and we were waiting for you, when we explained they apoligized and gave the order for free as a compliment...!!
