My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday night date. Wed been looking for a Thai place in the area, and he found this one through an online search. Im glad he did! They have indoor and outdoor seating. We opted for indoor. Very quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Very clean and and nicely decorated. The staff were very polite and cheerful and there was no lack in service or the quality of service. The first thing I noticed when I opened the menu was GREAT prices. The menu is on their website, but the plates on an average cost 9-12 dollars. Trust me, for the amount of food you get, and the quality, this is a great price. Anyways, we got the Chicken Satay as our appetizer, and for 2 people this was a sizeable portion! And very tastey. For the entree, he got the Panang Curry and I got the Mud-Sa-Mun Curry. The Panang had a heat that accumulated throughout the meal, but he did comment that he wouldnt have minded it having a bit more heat. He got this with the pork and it was very good quality meat. Mine was more of a sweet curry (peanut curry) and it was amazing. It was with beef that just fell apart and melted in your mouth. In the end, I had enough to take home and bring for lunch at work the following Monday. He finished his plate, however, so it probably is according to ones personal preference on how much they can eat. I have no comments on the "authenticity" of the Thai-ness. Im no professional Thai food eater. All I can say is that I would recommend this place to anyone. For two people (one appetizer, two entrees) we spent $35 bucks. Not bad. The food was amazing. And the atmosphere was great for a date. :) I cant wait to go back.

My wife and I enjoy Thai and have been to several restaurants. So far, we have two favorites with both incredible food and reasonable prices. The Green Basil is not one of those restaurants. We were there yesterday. I had the Roasted Duck in Curry with Lychee and my wife had the fried Thai combination rice. For an appetizer, we had the green mussels steamed with Thai spices. The mussels were cooked to a perfectly rubbery texture, with just enough grit left to make them completely unpalatable. Strike 1. My wifes rice plate was huge, generally a winner for me, but everything in it tasted exactly the same--one long flavor note. For some reason, two slices of cucumber and two slices of tomato, both huge as well, were served on the side of the plate--to no purpose that I could see. Strike 2. My duck was cooked perfectly. It had, however, no actual flavor. The curry was good, but somewhat weak. The lychee was the best part of the whole meal. It was amazing. So, mostly, Strike 3. Overall, this is a good starter place for Thai, but if youve had good Thai before, you will walk away full, but disappointed.

If you like actual Thai food, stay away. Ordered the Lard Na with beef, Chicken Satay with fried rice, and Basil fried rice. The basil fried rice was awful, the flavor was not authentic, it had a strange tomato taste. Chicken Satay was good, tender chunks of chicken but the fried rice given to us was curry fried rice. If we were supposed to choose, the choice was never given to us. The curry fried rice was okay, nothing offensive like the basil fried rice but it didnt have anything other than rice, no veggies or egg. The Lard Na was very good, very tender beef, lots of tender noodles. Overall a disappointment and wont be going back.

I always look for Thai restaurants in every state and country I travel to. This one in particular is ok, and close to my house. The service is excellent. However, last time I ate here I had to be exposed to more than half hour phone conversation. We sat outside and the guy, maybe the owner, sat right next to the main entrance and kept talking on the phone, fortunately in foreign language. The environment seem cool with outside seating and umbrellas but I wont pay for a meal again and be exposed to a half hour phone conversation. Seriously, get your smart phone in the restroom!

This place is good. However, I dont recommend the chicken Pad Thai. It has too much fish sauce and tofu. That being said, I was the only one who complained about their food when I went with family. My fiancee really enjoyed the panang curry; she felt it could have been a little spicier, but it was still delicious. The staff is nice. I like the decor but thought the smooth jazz was so smooth kinda corny. They only have MGD and Miller Lite for mega brews, but Id highly recommend a Singah or Chang beer.

It was a great surprise to find so nice restaurant so close or as part of shopping center. We were looking to eat something fast before going to work and found Green Basil as the closest one. The ambience is clean and attractive, service fast and nice, menu very complete and quality of food very good. To add something, prices are superb. Neighbors of this town must enjoying this nice jewel. Good luck

Love love love this place. In my opinion its the best Thai restaurant in the area. You get great portions, good food, a nice amount of veggies, and the staff is very attentive. I have ordered delivery and dined in here. We have also come as a large group and they were very accommodating. I highly recommend this spot to anybody in the area. Great for lunch for all the business people in the area.

Something has changed about this place either it is cook, owner or supplier or all of above. The place is not the same as it used to be. Used to go there quite a few times and food was somewhere from decent to good. Today it was a disaster. Service was ok but food... yak... Please do yourself a favor look for something else, extremely disappointing... I want my money back..

I didnt like the food here. The staff was nice but a little nosy and in a hurry. Also, Green Basil ruined my view of Thai food. Im not hating, I am just saying that Thai food isnt my type. What was wrong with the food: the mango in the mango salad were too sour and unripe. The meat was dry and tasteless. The noodles were bland but acceptable.

I went for a lunch one day and out of curiosity, try the chefs special, The soft shell crab...Its really really salty. And its not just that course, the soup I ordered, was also super salty. I m a very flexible eater in general. But this one just went too far. The environment was nice, and the staff was very friendly, give two stars for that.

The place has nice ambiance and i had hoped for a very pleasant dinner. However, i wasnt so lucky. I ordered the Thai red curry and immediately after dinner on my drive home i was doubled over in pain from food poisoning! Im staying away from the place personally. Someone else had the sweet and spicy duck and they were fine afterwards.

Oh Green Basil how I love your Seafood Rangoons. These are not the greasy flat hunks of batter you are used to getting at an Asian restaurant. These are gloriously light, crispy pouches stuffed generously with whole shrimp and scallops. They are amazing. Their regular dishes are great too! Its hard to go wrong at this place!
