I used to be a regular here and Id spent more here this summer than I care to talk about. I would in fact continue to do so if I didnt feel so compelled not to return. Heres a few reasons why: This thing that claims to be a "nightclub" continues to prove a poor and unrewarding experience. If you dont get stopped at the door on the weekend by the same bouncer that lets you wear anything during the week and gives you loads of bullocks in your throat about wearing a comical shirt as opposed to something more "jersey shore-esque," then youve gotten off to a good start. Thats right, if the guido (Mauricio) at the door doesnt approve of your tasteful clothing, youre going to get the A.C Milan defense at the front door until you bugger off home and put on something qualifying for tolerable in their minimal world view. This club doesnt hold up to good downtown or european standards as it would largely claim and plays largely crap music (through no fault of most djs, but rather because theyre forced to play within the bounds of whatever the manager images would be a good idea). Its a one-stop bullocks drive-thru for crap music that equalizes everyones dancing abilities by creating an atmosphere that nobody properly knows how to react to. Thats 1. 2. Besides the fact that 1/16 of proper folk cant get in without some trouble or otherwise difficulty, theyre more than happy to wang out their mandatory multi-cultural tolerance by letting through united states immigration levels of hindus that prep for a bender by washing themselves with raw garlic and tar. I promise you internet, that there are nights that you can smell them from across the street. Not to mention they interfere with your night by performing routines of whatever they might consider proper dance. The concept continues to escape me. 3. The owner of the club is a confirmed yay snorting, knackered-off, special needs lizard knob with ears the size of flopping whale labial flaps for lack of a more accurate term. His fatefully poisoned mind produces the energy that keeps this nightmare running with the good, the bad, and the endless supply of hand selected, ecstasy-driven, wank sounds that fuel the image of dink nightclub because he cant "come to fruition" without imagining the tears of well-meaning individuals trying to provoke a "good-time" into occurring otherwise hell cross his legs like an Amish virgin in the fetal position watching a first blood "crotch kicks only" mma match. At its best its a club where you can meet suburb women running to refuge from their husbands, boyfriends, parents, and general corporate something or other that qualifies for "a life" in the area, that will sleep with you 30% of the time. The wait staff is usually pretty kind and most of the bouncers are pretty leveled headed with the exception of the Gate Keepers. At its worst its a sausage fest packed with highly confrontational eastern european-americans that dont even get along with other eastern european-americans and xd out kids with fake IDs ready to throw it down with you in the club at the first spill of whatever contrived drink theyre sipping on. *Spoiler alert* many of the girls who are in attendance come two or three times a week and bounce from guy to guy to guy every time. If you dont believe me, Drink nightclub is open 5 days a week, see for yourself.

I have been going to this club for few years now, my friends and I always get bottle service, and probably spend close to $10000 annually . I wasnt always happy with the service there, however I do like the atmosphere, their outside patio is really nice. Last night I went there with lots of friends, we got bottle service again. The staff said there is a two bottle minimum, and we will get a free bottle of champagne with that. We were told that each bottle will cost $125. We get seated at the table, the waitress asks what kind of champagne do we want, we said not sure, and asked to see the menu, we selected which free bottle of champagne we want and continued with our night. When we were given the bill at the end of the night we found out that the bottle of champagne that we chose was $250 extra, double of what we initially wanted to spend on our bill. No one has ever mentioned that if we chose a particular brand of champagne it will cost more. We didnt even want the champagne, but it came with the package so we took it. We brought up the issue with the waitress, she then called the hostess, and eventually security guards were called to deal with the problem. One guy came up and said he was the manager. He was one of the rudest, and most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. I explained the situation, said I would be willing to pay for what we originally wanted. He said that he doesnt care, and we have to pay for the entire bill, if we dont want to pay he will call police and we will get arrested for retail theft, and the club will still get their money. We went back and fourth few times, police came, at the end of the night we decided its not worth going through all this trouble and paid this fraudulent bill. This place will stop at nothing to add bogus charges to your bill because they know they can get away with it. What was going to be a $300 tab turned into a $650 tab. This place needs to review how they handle their disputes, and better train their employees on how to deal with customers in a respectful way. I will make sure to spread the word as much as I can so more people know about this fraudulent business.

Disappointed. We were hoping for a fun, not so expensive New Years Eve. We went to the venue, Drink, to purchase our tickets. The event coordinator asked to run our cards and purchased the tickets online, which we could have just done at home, but the flyer said to call or come in. Of course we couldnt go until their operating hours on Thursday.... Surprise, surprise! The Early Bird tickets were sold out but we agreed to splurge for the sake of having a fun night out. Nola took our card and came back saying we were all set, but we never got a receipt. Naturally, I thought to check my CC to make sure and the charge was significantly more than she had told us, but of course now they cant do anything about because they ordered it online. Its a third party, and they wiped their hands clean of it. We have to run around and try and hope we get our money back. Even if we did go to Drink, what makes you think wed have fun when were out another additional 115 bucks? No one will call us back, no one will give us a straight answer, and Im left with a hefty charge that I should not be responsible for. No we would not recommend this place, theyre shady, unreliable personnel.

Drink is pretty cool. Ive been to many clubs in Chicago and a few supposed club-type places in the suburbs and Drink has been the only one in the burbs worth going to so far. They have $5 valet and a $5 cover. Mixed drinks are about $6.50 and they have at least 4 big bars so you dont have to wait long for a drink. The place is huge and theres a nice outdoor area when its nice out. I imagine its a bit of a day-club in the summer but I havent been there for that. There are two DJs playing on different sides which is always nice in case you dont like one. The sound system is good and the DJs play a good mix of Vocal House without stuff thats totally played-out. They have a nice lounge area for bottle service and if you take a look at the prices on their website, theyre not too bad compared to $600 bottles + 25% mandatory tip at some places. If you live close by, its a good alternative to going to Chicago. I probably wouldnt drive out from Chicago unless you wanted some cheap bottle service.
