I am from out of town and do not have a Hy-Vee near me. This store is visually appealing. Well laid out. Floor plan makes shopping easy. Easy access to associates as they are abundantly staffed and associates are engaged with consumers and eager to help. Large prepared foods selection. Pizza. Asian. American comfort food. I worked with a friendly and knowledgeable associate to build a fried chicken dinner take-home for 3. When finished she made a suggestion on my selection to add pieces of chicken to save money by ordering one of their bucket sizes vs passing by the piece. Check out clerk was friendly and informative. Offered the Hy-Vee perks programs. Bagger was smart about placing hot foods together in well balanced bag and cold foods together. She made sure the chicken gravy was double bagged & alone.

My local HyVee is my favorite grocery store to shop at; there truly is a smile in every isle and customer service is fantastic. I can even ship packages and pay bills, not to mention that Hyvee has one of the best health markets in Newton always a nice Vegan product line. Luvv the Perks as well. Skip the attitude and head on over to Hyvee for a pleasant shopping experience and treat yourself to a Starbucks or Market Cafe Chinese ( or Vegan Pizza )while you are at it. Pamela A.

99% of the time customer service is great. If you cant find something, they will check and either tell you immediately or call you back. Well, not always! First time I asked for a product, the employee would have to check and call me back. Never received the call. Second time, approached the same person, he said he spaced it off, would have to check with his supplier and would give me a call. Still waiting! Frustrating to say the least.

Sometimes pricier than other places, but amazing selections and when things are on special or on sale, rather substantial cost savings on certain items. We are positively addicted to the chicken pot pies made by the Hy-Vee chef and the artisan breads available in the bakery. Staff is extremely helpful and unfailingly pleasant.

Have a lot of what you need from basic groceries to deli fresh pre made foods to their own little restaurant and bar. Plus fast and easy access to liquor section with next to door parking. Just need more parking at the liquor section.

The store is well laid out, always stocked full, and the staff is ready to help in any way you ask. The drive up grocery service is amazing, the checkout is fast, and they open enough lanes to keep your wait short - love this store!

Typical hy vee new resturant in store is way overpriced pre made deli sandwiches cost almost twice as much as the ones u cwn get at the hyvee gas in ankeny not sure why same sandwiches grocery store is great staff are great

What can i say! its Hy-vee. Its either that or Wal-Mart but i guess I do prefer hy-vee for the location n this cute redhead cashier I do like to flirt with. But when comes to getting my meats fareway is the way to go.

Very awesome grocery store. We stopped at the in-store restaurant for some wings and a beer. It was happy hour so it was extremely cheap. Local radio station was there giving out metallica tickets too.
