My wife and I went here the other day and only had some nachos and a couple of burgers, but by the time we went home, WE hit rock bottom. We were so sick from their food we couldnt even get up. I had this horrible pain in my stomach for two days afterward. We ordered the nachos first. My wife loves nachos (Im "eh" with them), so why not? The platter is a foot by two feet. So be prepared to scarf down some chips. What their menu does NOT tell you is that these nachos are covered in cilantro. I wish I would have known this, because I cant eat cilantro without getting a horrible taste in my mouth. Again, my wife was happy with them so I didnt send them back. Their menu consists of 90% jalapenos, according to "Southwest Style". Im from the Southwest and most of our food isnt like this. Youll have two or three items on a menu with jalapenos, but not this. What they are selling is "Tex Mex". Only kitsch restaurants pander this stuff off as "Authentic Southwest", when everyone else knows better. Their burgers were pretty good, but nothing to write home about. Tom and Eddies across the parking lot blows them away without even trying. Their craft beer I tried (Brown Ale) tasted like Sam Adams at first, but then towards the end tasted like dish cleaner. Huge disappointment. They also dont serve other beers except I think for Bud and Miller. You want to look like your food comes from Texas? Serve Shiner! The ambiance was nice. Not so insanely bright like most places. Personal tall booths and a quiet evening. All in all, the food was alright. Nothing too great to rave about, but nothing too horrible to complain about. The only thing was us getting sick. I always give places a second try, but I will wait for a long time before I do this to myself again. Rock Bottom: If you want a better burger and better experience, go to Tom and Eddies. UPDATE: Wife got even worse and I rushed her to the hospital. She had to go to the emergency room and it was linked directly to this restaurant. Everyone in the area seems to know to avoid this place because of e.coli from this restaurant!! We will NEVER go here again!

We got together here for a family dinner on saturday, tonight .The service is extremely slow and awful. After ordering food arrived more than 45 mins later to our table . The waitress barely shows up to our table , instead we have to look around for our waitress to ask when we need something. The food is pricey and substandard . The fries are overly cooked and tasted horrible. I had better fries in fast food restaurants. Our daughter is very easy going on icecreams and she disliked the ice cream here. With this kinda food quality and services, I have to knock off 4 stars. I dont understand , despite of so many negative feedbacks, why the restaurant is so obstinate to offer good service. This is our first and most likely last time in RockBottom.

Beer and menu were better before the merger with Gordon Biersch, but still better than most places. The previous brew master, Tim Marshall, was some kind of Mad Genius! He can now be found at Solemn Oath Brewing in Naperville. I look forward to trying the craft beers produced by the new brew master, though the beer here is consistently very good. On the service side, youll always get great service from the bartop. On the weekends, Ryan and Mo are usually behind the bar slinging beers. Really great people, very knowledgeable about their beers, and excellent service every time. Check it out, ask for samples and try new things. Dont bother asking for a Miller Light - they have it, but its the least interesting beer on their list.

My medium rare steak came out as shoe leather, but Joe at the bar made it right, and in a big way. He was empathetic and seemed to genuinely care about the atrocity against steaks that was committed. Service was great and personable. I wasnt just another tab while I was there. Questions about beers and dishes were answered honestly and, when an answer wasnt known, an answer was obtained about as rapidly as conceivably possible. The guys working the bar - Joe in particular - were great. And when it came back out after the error, the food was also quite tasty. Management: hang onto Joe - his handling of this faux pas is the only reason Im coming back - and coming back deliberately!

I used to really like this place, but over time its kind of gone down hill. Their food tends to vary a lot depending on the time of day, and often it comes cold or overly greasy. The service is just horrible sometimes, ESPECIALLY if youre in the bar. The servers just dont come to the tables even when the place isnt busy at all. In fact Ive gotten worse service when I was one of the only people there than when it was rather busy. They used to have a great Rockbottom Rewards program, but when they ditched it I just lost all interest in the place. Their decor is quite nice, but it just isnt enough to offset their slow service and mediocre food.

Last night was Bigotry at its finest. I will NEVER nor will my family or friends ever step back into this restaurant. The Bartendar was rude and not very willing to serve anyone that had darker skin other than his own. In addition to the rude service, he thought nothing of it when a Caucasian Customer started belittling the other Customers. The manager apparently took the word of this bigot and instantly called the police. I have never experienced an incident of this nature. It was surreal, degrading and insulting. Unfortunately l had to give a star. This place SUCKS! Couldnt think of any other word to use.

Awesome place great service I cant say enough good things about this place. The buffalo wings are excellent the southwest egg rolls are amazing the Jambalaya rivals the taste of Louisiana and did I mention ITS ALL MADE FRESH AND PREPPED DAILY. Rene the manager on duty while I was there, shes a joy to be around and gave a me tour of what to drink, eat and seemed to always appear at the right moment from the time I entered the establishment. Ive been at grease spoons to 5 star steakhouses and she is by far the most courteous manager Ive ever encountered.

Went for dinner with my husband and our toddler and was completely underwhelmed and unimpressed. My husband said the beer was ok, my salmon was pretty good but everything else was...meh. And we ordered our little one the Mac and Cheese off the kids menu, since they seemed quite proud of the M&C. What did we get? I am 98 % sure it was Kraft mac and cheese. We paid $6 for something that costs $1.50 for a box and the store and that, frankly, I wont even make/serve at home. Total rip off.

Ive been here a couple of times before and its a good place to get a drink and a bite to eat. Tonight my friends and I were shunned at a nearby bar for no good reason and I couldnt let them go home on that note so I suggested Rock Bottom. The waiter was Mitch, Ive seen him before and tonight he was exactly what we needed. He was friendly and polite and we went away feeling happy. Thanks to Mitch and Rock Bottom for fixing what might have been a crappy night.
