My coworkers and I placed a larger order online --- we had 3 orders of one dish, and a few different items. I made the mistake of not checking my order before I left the restaurant. When I got back to the office, I saw they had COMBINED the dishes. There was 1 container of rice for the 5 different dishes, the 3 masala were combined as well. I called the place and spoke to "the manager". Asked them why our food was combined, explained this was for a workplace, people eat separate, and asked why everything was combined even though we ordered separate meals. The manager told me if I would have called and told them i wanted it separated they would have and now there is nothing they could do about it. The manager was very rude and arrogant, completely unwilling to offer any type of apology. It was MY FAULT for not CALLING them AFTER I placed my order ONLINE to tell them to keep the meals separated. WHY would you combine the orders? I ordered 3 chicken masala, 1 butter chicken, 1 garlic shrimp. I expected to receive 5 separate rice plates and 5 separated meal containers. If I were to order 2 small fried rice from a Chinese restaurant, I would get 2 small fried rice, NOT 1 large fried rice. I CAN PROMISE THIS MUCH, MAHARAJA JUST LOST ANY FUTURE BUSINESS FROM OUR OFFICE.

“Horrible Service..monkeys can serve better” Reviewed July 11, 2012 NEW i walked in before the others arrived and the guy behind the cashier just pointed at our table..he was too lazy to actaully walk me to the table..i sat there for like 15mins but no one offered me water or anything to eat..even though our reservations were for 730pm they were still fixing up the table...when the group arrived no one offered us menus..instead we had to ask for them..we even had to ask for two high chairs..we got one but had to wait about 45 mins for the other one..no one took our order..we had to ask someone to take our order..they took our small plates before we finished and had to give us another one becuase not all of our food came on time..we had to ask fro papad and on top of that they only gave us one basket between 12 of us..so we had to ask for more..it seemed like we were doing all the work..one of my family member had to get up and get an empty plate because they didnt give us enough..i cant believe that we got this kind of service

Dinner with the family. Restaurant was quiet, clean and offered a soft ambiance. The wait staff was very attentive and even offered to make us a meal off the menu. We had them make us a Dham Aloo which is a gravy and potato meal... the only down fall and the reason I did not rate this a 5/5 was that the potato was not fully cooked. We also ordered the combination platter which is not enough to serve 5 but is very tasteful. The onion naan was great.. soft, tender, and not over cooked. All food was very fresh and flavorful. We asked for spicy but the meal was not very spicy so if your a spice enthusiast make sure you tell them to kick it up a notch. The vegetarian dry manchurian offered an outstanding flavor but slightly over cooked and chewy. Unfortunately, we only tried the vegetarian options but I look forward to trying to meal options. Overall Id definitely be willing to give it another shot at Maharaja. I know they cater a lot of local Indian wedding venues and the food has been great every time.

We were very pleased to find this tasty Indian restaurant so close to OHare. Its located in an isolated strip mall on the south side of Higgins between two expressways. The decor is a bit odd; it seems to be an attempt to emulate fancy restaurants, though I am pleased to say that the menu prices do not reflect this. We ordered a Mango Lassi, Punjabi Kadhi, Mattar Paneer, and Roomali Roti. The Lassi was quite tasty. The rest of the food arrived pretty promptly and was accompanied by a plate of rice. The peas in the Mattar Paneer were a bit hard, but the sauce and paneer were good. We were very pleased with the Kadhi. The yogurt sauce was tangy and flavorful. There were only a few pieces of pakora in the sauce, so it sort of resembled a Malai Kofta. This left us with lots of leftover sauce with which we saturated our remaining rice. I cant comment on the authenticity of the dishes, but I can certify that our meal was very tasty and served in a pleasant atmosphere.

Heard lot of good things about this place from my friends, but last Saturday night been their and it was total disappointed. The on duty manager was rude. First - we went inside with the party of 6 and 3 kids, place was half empty, after been asked for table, manager asked us to wait for 20 minutes. When we asked him to join couple of tables then he said wait and let me think ..lol. All curries tasted same (Milwaukees Indian Bazaar has very good Shahi Paneer than this costly so called Indian restaurant) ..looked like red color was poured to get the red spice feeling, biryani was okay...but rumali rotiwas good. Service was poor, few times we had to ask for stuff. Overall - disappointed by service, rude behavior of manager, bad food, bad service, good ambiance, maybe good meat food but definitely not a good place for vegetarian ...not worth for money.

Horrible service! There were three occupied tables including my family with 3 waiters and we had to call waiter the entire time we were there to get service. Food was good to mediocre at best. All dishes we ordered had similar taste (as if they used the same blend of spices for all) and taste was very blend. Very pricy for the quality. Restaurant was nicely decorated with good ambiance but table we were had was plastic folding table. Not what one would expected for the price they charge. Party of 5+ gets 18% gratuity charged automatically (I want refund on this considering I had to manage my waiter). Waiters were dressed properly and their demeanor was as they didn’t want to be there (find people that wants to work at your restaurant). Again, I had better service at hole in a wall type of place.

We were back in the Chicagoland area after a while and we went to this place with our friends as they liked it a lot. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the two combo non-vegetarian dishes, Sarsoon ka sag, daal makhani, and a number of other veggie dishes. Every dish Had a unique and great flavor. The complementary zeera rice was good. The tandoori nan was fantastic. The taste of the food and it a reasonable prices make this place a must visit. You can also enjoy Indian beer or a collection of wines (including Indian) and cocktails. We will return when visiting this area again.

My friend and I had a taste for Indian food and she suggested this place. We got there around 2:10- 2:15, just in time before they closed at 3pm after the lunch buffet. I havent eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants to know how to eat the food (like what goes with what) but my friend helped me and the staff was very friendly. The food was really good and you can get really full for what they charge (about $11 p/person for lunch buffet). I didnt have dessert but I hear the mango ice cream is really good. I will be back!!
