Horrible experience at this place. They do not care about ALL their customers, only the so called "regular" customers. Their was an extremely intoxicated customer playing on one of the gambling machines. The customer got up and left the machine. The man had been gone from the machine for an extended period of time. I sat down at the machine which DID NOT have any money credited on the machine. I inserted my money and started playing. After a minute or so this intoxicated customer approached me completely enraged and started yelling at me because I was at his machine and that he still had money in it. I informed the man that there was not any money in the machine when I sat down to play, I told the man that I would cash out the money that I had placed in the machine and I would let him play. The man was insistent and relentless and decided that he was going to try to get physical with my husband and proceeded to place his face up to my husbands. My husband ignored this severely intoxicated customer and sat down. This intoxicated customer then went to one of the Broken Oar staff members (what was said I have no idea). The staff members and this drunk customer walked away from the bar to the room with the gambling machines and stood on the opposite side of the room from where the machines were at. The intoxicated customers irate behavior escalated even more and he started yelling and becoming belligerent. My friend went up to talk to the staff members and this intoxicated customer went up to my friends face leaving less than a half inch between the two of them and threatened to punch my friend in the face (all still while staff members stood saying nothing at all). When I went up to the staff members to tell them to diffuse this dangerous customer, my friend moved away from the customer. The customer then proceed to angrily throw a $5 bill at me, still staff members did NOTHING! When I tried to make an attempt to explain to the staff members what had happened (mind you I was not drunk), I was told that there was nothing they could do for me because this intoxicated customer was one of their regular customers. Im sorry but I thought that you were supposed to treat all customers equally. I ended up having to give my drivers license to the staff member to photocopy it in case this intoxicated customer wanted to press charges. So I do not recommend this place due to the fact that I was treated like scum and also allowed this intoxicated man to act so scary and hostile to their other paying customers. I felt threatened and scared to even walk out into the parking lot to leave since no one knew where this extremely intoxicated and angry "regular" customer went. You dont run a business like this and you dont treat respectable paying customers like this.

Nice enough outside at times. But prices are very high. 12 dollar burgers, 9 dollar drinks..though a couple odd days they have some specials. Service stinks most days. They tend to hire the youngest, the most inexperienced girls they can find. It also seems those women have the same plastic enhancement surgeon and tattoo artist. They all seem to be tattooed from neck to toe with nose piercings and crazy colored hair. In Summer parking is almost non-existent due to bikes. So...why DO the seasonal bikers get the prime spots and the regulars have to park in the back? They do get some good bands and the food is decent though over priced. A calamari plate with about 6 pieces of calamari for what..9 bucks? The place HAS been cleaned up however from its past river dive days and the crowd isnt as nasty as it used to be. But the service has never been good here with some exception. A couple of the older more experienced girls can hustle. But one or two are incredibly snobbish and cliquish catering ONLY to the younger male crowd with like tattoos and crazy hair. Owners seem to float here and there, they seem to have their own little crowd they sit with as well. As value goes, its over rated. as a local bar it stands a bit above the other river joints in cleanliness. For service it gets low marks. For relaxation...I guess if extremely loud music and jet skis running up and down the river relax you, and the constant irritation of Harleys being revved up and down with loud pipes floats you...have at it. Few other area bars are more tailored for conversation and relaxing than this one is. And a lot better value for the money.

Paying cash each round all afternoon downstairs outside; go upstairs, order some mussles and one cup of clam cohowder, some drinks, pay as we go each round; buy a t-shirt, one sweatshirt, go back up-stairs to pick up another cup of $3 clam chowder soup, and get charged $47 bucks for the cup of soup and listen to how the bartender says she never collected any money from us all evening, after we have been paying cash each round all afternoon/evening and our change from previous rounds is still sitting on the bar. Bartender tells us we can check the cameras; we say ok lets check them; the manager says ok we can check the cameras, and then says well we will have to call the owner and get the owner here first to check them; then manager story changes and says sorry we cant check the cameras, we will just have to call the sheriff, and see what the sheriff has to say, after we have been paying each round cash all afternoon/evening. Scam scam scam scam...Bonnie, if you really are the owner and are reading this, know that you have at least one bartender (long brown wavy hair, pale white skin, younger, probably mid 20s,and manager) praying on and ripping off your paying customers and threatening them by saying they will call the sheriff after we paid each round cash. Check your cameras for the upstairs bar for 9/11/16 from 6-8pm, north side of the bar. We paid, and we paid double when your employees accused us of not paying when we really did pay. You guys could not show us the camera play back. Hmm.

Beautiful view and that is the only positive thing I can say. First we were offered the Daily specials menu but when we tried to order from it they said "oh sorry its a holiday so they dont apply", well then why were we handed this menu? Next we received our (tiny) plate of calamari with no utensils or napkins, annoying. I ordered Buffalo Wings, they were so dry and gross, how do you mess up wings? But worst of all they served my 8 year old daughter a RAW HAMBURGER, disgusting and unsafe. Felt sorry for the waitress, it was only her 3rd day but they set her up to fail. As we were checking out the table next to us went through the same thing with "the daily special" ..why wouldnt they have corrected this after doing it to us?

Burgers 12 dollars? Rude waitresses (minus Samantha) acting like they run the place and waiting on regular customers much more than newcomers. Where is the management? People are stealing seats and bullying other customers into taking open seats before them. I saw multiple people sit down before the original people were even finished eating. Consider a hostess for seating. The food was good and the view was nice, but my experience was wrecked from people Standing over me waiting for me to leave and talking about how Im taking too long. If youre a biker maybe youll like this place, but if this is how bikers act and treat others, Im glad Im not a biker. Ill eat elsewhere.
