Bad service. Came here with a friend at about 11:30 am when it was not busy and both ordered the never ending pasta bowl starting with chicken fettucine alfredo. First the waitress (younger, darker skin, two french braids) forgot the chicken. Lol. Not a huge deal, she came back about 5 mins later with it. A little later, I needed a refill but saw she was waiting on another table so I waited to ask. Another waitress noticed our plates needed clearing and I needed a refill and asked if she could take care of the plates while giving a look to the other waitress that she missed both tasks. Took our waitress 5 mins to get it and another 5 to refill it. We waited for 45 MINS for her to take our second pasta bowl order and she came back and said "let me know when you guys need the check" and never even asked if we wanted more food/dessert. She looked over at our table at least 4x before then and saw we were ready to order again but purposely avoided our table and waited on others. Not sure why as we were pleasant to her and didnt even give her a hard time about how horrible she was up to that point. This being my first time at OG I was more upset that she tried to rush us out that we didnt even order more and just asked for the check. Needless to say, no tip for her. AVOID THIS LOCATION!! I have heard better reviews about other locations (Lincoln Park). Go there instead!! Also it smelled like feet when we came in :( The food was basic/expected but is not worth dealing with the bad service.

Me, wife and sometimes the family come to OG about every 2-3 mos. Three years ago we use to go the one in Downers Grove just to get out the area for a change. But then their food became mediocre. So, we began coming back to the Riverside location. We like the atmosphere and decor a little better and the food at Riverside was noticeably better. Im 61" 245lbs and I always need a to-go container... great for my midnight snack. The service is usually pretty good, sometimes GREAT!, but only once has the waiter-ess been really bad, i.e. forgetting everything like special requested condiments, refills, and even the check. I prefer it when the servicer notices our status from a distance and pre-plans our table needs without having to overly disturb our private conversations. If I order a special sauce in the beginning, I dont want to wait until Im almost done before they return with it... same for refills. The Riverside OGarden usually does well with those areas, so I can give them 4 stars. One area of concern is keeping up with the RRms. Mngmnt needs to check them more frequently for cleanliness,soap, ppr twls and tissue, (but that has not been a problem in the last 4 visits, i.e. last 10 mos). Pricing is what Id expect, I feel I get a good deal.

I was so hungry and I had a taste for Olive Garden, so I made my companion drive twenty five minutes to the nearest Olive Garden, after calling 411 and calling around to find a location near by, since we are located southwest in the chicagoland area. We find the restaurant, the wait was not the issue, we had gotten the menus and saw that the prices were expensive that is why prior to ordering we asked about the portions. We were reassured by the waiter that the portions were descent, however when the plates came, the portions were so small, the food was not authentic, as commercial as it couldve gotten, we might as well have gotten frozen meals that were considered italian food. The worst part is the bill was almost $60.00. The taste of chicago was going on, we should have gone there. Im very upset that during such hard economic times, people go for a pleasant dining experiance, and to think that large corps, would be advocating for the public by providing great service, good food and affordable prices, the service was pleasant however the food and price was horrible. I didnt even finish my meal, nor did my companion because it was even quality of completing. The location was on cermak and harlem.

My youngest daughter and I ordered soup & salad for dinner, while the rest of my family ordered dinner entrees. The young waiter Alex, brought our soups as appetizers. He brought only enough salad for 3 persons; our party consisted of 5 individuals. He showed up once after that, and was slow on providing refills on the soup. This was the 1st time we were not offered, the after dinner mints; which our children look forward too. Then to top it all off, the waiter, failed to return my credit card after signing for the bill. This had a terrible impact on our vacation! Once we realized what had happened, we were 200 miles away. We were able to transfer funds to another card, but in the end we took a hit on the account, because of INS FUNDS due to an oversight on a pending transaction. None the less, when we reported the missing card to the assistant manager the following mourning, she refused to address the issue/ complaint and referred me to the manger of the restaurant who would not be in till that afternoon. This restaurant puts a bad mark on an otherwise good restaurant chain the we enjoy when ever we travel. Shame on this stores management staff, for put immature people on their wait staff.

At this OG you always walk in & have to wait even when its not crowded for 10 minutes. Then you have one server for a section of too many people. Then by the time you get your order in, and get your soup or salad, theres been numerous times where the breadsticks arent ready. How can your trademark not be ready at all times? Then also this OG is just cheap. Beverages arent filled all the way, soup is filled only halfway up the bowl, you only get like 3 breadsticks for 2-3 people, the spaghetti you get like barely any noodles to the point you can eat it in 5 minutes. Oh and I forgot to mention that if you dont tell them to hold your food, they have numerous times brought it like a minute after you get your soup and salad (with no breadsticks). Theres been a few times we didnt get the mints at the end either. Like Im a nice & open minded person so it takes a lot to make me give one star but I truly think this one is one of the worst OGs in IL. You can get better service & more food at other OGs.

Had the worst dinner, chicken was raw we informed the waiter and he took the plate back, they had us wait more than 20 minutes without checking on us. In fact the couple that came in when the food was first brought out managed to have even dessert and they still hadnt brought the plate they had taken. We waited just to be informed that the food they were giving us was not what we had ordered. In the end the whole meal was ruined and the manager didnt have the decency to go and apologize for his staff ruining our meal. We have been here plenty of times before and idk who that manager is but giving customers food that isnt fully cooked is not right Btw we got home and the food that was taken home also had chicken that wasnt fully cooked
