My family and I came here for my birthday. I loved the seafood pancake and vegetable dumplings. The banchan had a number of yummy dishes, too; I liked their potatoes. We ordered the bulgogi chapchae, dak galbi, and dwaeji galbi. Everything but the dak galbi was going to be grilled on the table. The atmosphere was pleasant and decorated by the owners wife; it was cute inside and much larger than you would expect from the storefront. Unfortunately, we had a bit of a defective table; the built-in grill would not stay lit. This became apparent towards the beginning of the meal, even before banchan were brought out. We offered to switch tables but our waitress was very insistent on trying to get it working. After a few more attempts, she brought out an older man (I believe he was the owner) who also tried several times, but was unable to keep the grill going. By then, the rest of our party had finished their meal (the dak galbi was a kitchen entree and the bulgogi chapchae was grilled on a standalone tabletop grill with room for the noodles around the outside) and my parents were getting a bit miffed about the pork ribs and how they might not be as good after all that hassle. The older man then took the dwaeji galbi off the table and grilled it in the kitchen. I dont blame them that the grill was acting up -- these things happen, and the way they both were fiddling with the grill dials, it seemed like it wasnt uncommon. It would have been nice to have switched tables or something early on, though, as the tabletop barbecue is part of the experience. Ill give them another try sometimes, as I love KBBQ and dont have a good fix for it out in the suburbs, but my first experience here was lukewarm.

All of the Korean restaurants Ive been to were in Chicago or Niles area, so it was nice to try out this place, so close to my home in Libertyville. The decor in the place is nice, and they have the built-in table grills for the b-b-q items. We didnt get to try the b-b-q, but I ordered the Bibimbap, which comes in the sizzling stone bowl and a raw egg yolk on top. Just seeing that yolk made me happy, to see that a place in the suburbs isnt afraid to give you raw eggs. Or a hot stone bowl, for that matter. But the dish was very good; the rice did not burn at the bottom, and produced that nice crispy crust. The chili sauce seasoned the rice perfectly. And all of the other condiments were nice. They dont give you too much beef, but I think thats just expected of this dish, which is almost vegetarian, essentially. The banchan were also very good; nothing too mild-mannered there, just great picked and spicy vegetables. I did find it odd that the kimchi that they serve lacks any sort of pungency or flavor; it just tasted like spicy cabbage, with no other flavor. But this is a reasonably-priced restaurant with a great casual atmosphere and great food. I just hope they stay in business, because they were not too busy on that Friday night. I would love to come back for lunch, and definitely sometime, gotta try the bbq!

I had never been to any Korean restaurant before, so I was more than a little timid about this. It turned into an amazing experience! This restaurant has a grill built into every table. You pick where you want to sit, and the fun begins. Any dish you order, will end up with your table being covered with traditional Korean side dishes. The bean paste condiment, was absolutely amazing. I was using this on everything-and had to get a refill...twice. We had ordered bulgogi for the group, and ate until all four of us were stuffed to the limit. Service was great here as well. Miss Kim would make sure you had plenty of water, etc, without hovering over your table at all times. I did feel guilty leaving so much food at the table, but we ate until we were ready to pop, and tried a bit of everything. Great food, and a great experience!

Although a few of the side dishes are just a bit lackluster in flavor or texture, the main dishes are mindblowingly delicious. Unfortunately I cant recall the names of what I had, but one was the chicken in a sweet sauce with spice added - incredible. My parents let me try their dishes as well. The beef stew was very flavorful, tender, and rich. The cellophane noodles with beef were sauteed in a sesame sugar and soy sauce, sweet but still very complex flavors!! I cant wait to come back and try new things!!

Cool little strip mall restaurant. If you didnt know it was there you could easily drive by it. You can order meals for two or more. You cook your meat at the table which can be fun. The sides that were served with the meal were very interesting although I did not know what each of them was. Due to the language barrier with our server I was never able to find out what I ate. Food was very good and the server was attentive.

I took two of my clients here for dinner last night. They live in Korea and were visiting on business. They missed being home and wanted a taste of their home. They absolutely loved the food! They said the food was delicious and just as good as back home. They were able to order their food in Korean and speak fluently with the server. Thank you for making them feel at home!

Absolutely delicious. The owners recognize us every time! They specifically makes us the side dish we love even if it isnt on the menu that day :) we only ever come here though its 30+ minutes out of our way. The Bulgogi is fantastic, the chup-che or however you spell it is too. And best side dishes we have had! Authentic korean BBQ food!!

I finally found a place in the suburbs that serve quality Korean BBQ! I am 20 weeks pregnant and had been craving Korean BBQ for weeks now so my husband decided to bring me here. I am a picky eater and I was not left disappointed. Food was delicious. I was very satisfied and will definitely go back soon! Service was also a plus. =)

Service is good and the atmosphere is fun. The food is a little pricey, especially if you actually do the Korean BBQ instead of ordering a dish. They gave us a lot of side options to mix into our dish which was cool. The rice and fish cakes appetizer is really delicious and can be spicy for some, but I recommend it.

I cant express in words how much I loved this place. The staff is superb & the food is as well. We ordered the Bulgogi & the bibimpbap and The sides are just okay that come with the entrees/grill items but that doesnt matter because the main dishes were amazing. Im still dreaming about these dishes.

They serve the best bulgogi Ive ever had. The yellow pickled radish and cucumber kimchi are amazing too. This is authentic Korean food made by authentic Koreans. Theyre really friendly and laid back, and recognize my girlfriend and I every time we visit. I recommend this place to everyone.

처음 생겼을때보단, 간이 많이 짜졌기 때문에 알고 가시는게 좋습니다. 짠 음식에 거리낌이 없으시면 추천할만합니다.

This place was amazing! My first time eating Korean food and I was in heaven. You cannot go wrong with the Bulgogi cooked at the table or in a stew. The bibimbap in a the hot stone bowl was also fantastic. I dont know how I will ever eat another meal without 8 side dishes.
