1st visit. 4star best i give for first time. Lived in Elgin since 2002. Been going Sammys on rt 20 since they have gotten progressively bad...need 2 find a replacement. Ate three ala carte steak tacos mex-style. Very impressd! Picante was good, chips fresh tho most broken pcs. Two hot sauces, green & reddish-orange very good. Yes id come back with family and try drinks n more complex entrees.

I took a group of high school students there in the Fall 2007. They provided us with a buffet with various options. The students had a chance to taste some different things including mole. I hope to return with a bigger group.

Went on a Saturday around 8pm. Basically empty, server said they didnt have a liquor license (not good). The salsa served was ok, and the food was slightly salty. The horchata was good though.

The only good thing here is the Service. Food over priced they didnt have what i asked for a simple torta some of the food was delivered to us cold. I dont think Ill go again.

Had the nastiest camarones a la diabla the other day. This restaurant is not what it used to be. Dont waste your time and money. Go somewhere else.

With all my travels around Elgin for work. Without a doubt, best Mexican in the area. Get the rib eye tacos. The Salas is on point as well.
