Finally a pizza place that isnt afraid to add some flavor to their pizza!...and can make a thin crust crisp that can hold the ingredients and not get soggy and floppy. Stopped in while visiting Chicago based on a friends recommendation after an early play w/ 12 of us. Wife liked the artichoke dip, artichokes arent my thing, we all loved the baked goat cheese marinara and the basil pesto flatbread. The Diavolo pizza was awesome...crisp crust, hearty topping and just the right amount of heat from the sopressata. If spice isnt your thing the Margherita was nice and fresh tasting...one of my kids even liked it better than the cheese pizza...which is saying a lot! The kids also liked watching the pizza dough being tossed and put in the oven. Atmosphere-wise it is solid...brick loft like walls, nice bar, you can see the brick oven and our group sat by the front window which was open to the street (Belmont). Only thing missing was dessert, but with 3 kids we rarely order dessert out anymore....plus restaurant portions are usually so big we dont have room anyway. Really enjoyed the pizza, with all the pizza joints around you would think it would but easy to find good pizza, but most are just average, this one is definitely not.

I recently used their private room for a surprise party I was hosting. It could not have turned out more wonderful. We had a very friendly bartender, Travis, and the party coordinator Sarah, was always on top of her game. I must have asked 100 questions, via email, the day of the party and she answered within a few minutes each time. Food was great, as always. Everyone commented on how much they loved the thin crust. No room reservation fee and I was offered a discount of 10% if I paid in cash which I happily accepted. Great place for a party! Highly recommend to use Pizzeria Serio!

It was a nice surprise. My family and I stopped by when we first moved to Chicago and the pizza was so tasty. We didnt do our research before checking this place out so I thought it was going to be your run-of-the-mill pizza joint. From the first bite, I could tell it was a brick-oven pizza and it tasted like they used better quality ingredients. We had our three year old son with us too and he chowed down two slices. I also thought it was kid-friendly too but we didnt go on a weekend when it might be more busy.

Consistently excellent pizza and calzones. Crust is not gimmicky (not that theres anything wrong if thats your sort of thing, they just dont do it at Serio), just straightforward and tasty. Good as salads as well. Fantastic marinara and meatballs. Always a decent beer selection. Staff is always friendly and will take good care of you. Appreciate the new menu and its great to see that Sweet Heat made the cut! Is short, a solid standby that Im fortunate and proud to have in the neighborhood.

I was underwhelmed by the pizza I picked up here and took home to eat. Not quite the more authentic Italian version that you get at Frasca - Serio is somewhere in between American and Italian pizza. Thats not necessarily a bad thing and the quantity of good reviews will probably be enough to get me to come back in and try dining in. Mine may has been sitting around a while as it wasnt piping hot and tasted a bit rubbery.

Beware of black crunchy bits on the pizza. I guess its build up from the oven, burned into basically charcoal, that flaked off? Anyway, it made rather offputting crunching sounds. One of my teeth felt kind of weird and I hoped that it was simply some grime got caked on during the meal... nope. My tooth is slightly chipped. I didnt even realize that was possible.

SATURDAY BRUNCH! I was a little bit sketchy about brunch from a pizza parlor but was pleasantly surprised. The complimentary cinnamom role was a great starter, and the breakfast pizza (mexicana) was actually great! Also the mimosas tasted great (he didnt skimp out on the special ingredient!!alcohol). Very good also got to watch the bears game.

The pizza there was exactly the type we wanted. But it wasnt very kid friendly. We chose to come since Scooters frozen custard was right there. They had kiddie menus and cups, yet only two kids. If you like thin crust, light cheese, sports, pizza tossing, and a bar then this is the place. Not for kids though.

If you are looking for "pizza" with crust that tastes just like Chucky Cheese then this is the place for you. If you are looking for bruschetta that has no mozzarella or pizza not worth saving the immense amount of left overs then here you go. By the way turn in your chicago card at the door.

Love having Pizzeria Serio around the block from us. Always a good choice when we are craving thin pizza. We always get the margherita con carne and their caesar salad is also good. Service is always friendly and quick, whether you are dining in or picking up.

Absolutely fantastic. Had the goat cheese, mini calzones, garlic bread, italian sandwich and Nutella dessert. Service was great even though they were packed, place runs like a well oiled machine. Food was fresh, quick and to order. Everything was delicious!

I love this place. Thin crust, brick-oven pizza? Yes please!!! Its a great place to take a date in my opinion. The interior is intimate, yet modern. Oh and the pizza is delicious whether you eat there or order for carryout.

Good craft beer selection, delicious brick-oven, thin crust pizza, friendly service, family friendly. Nice warm atmosphere. Prices on pizzas seem slightly high but portions are large and ingredients are fresh.

Serio Pizza is my north side alternative to Coal Fire pizza. Very good pie and very quick service along with awesome specials during the week. I would highly recommend stopping by on a Tuesday.

I placed an order for pick-up, pizza was ready when promised. One problem, pizza was not good. If you are looking for good brick-oven pizza, take a walk East to Saporri de Nappoli.

To go phone service is fantasic! I always get any medium pizza and the freshness of their pizza is why I always go back to them. And being in lakeview, very resonably priced.

Ive eaten pizza all around the city, this is one of the best. Great beer selection. Also steps away from Scooters, so during the summer you can go pizza to ice cream.

The special for Thursday is very misleading. Plenty of better places with honest marketing.
