It deserves maybe three stars in the real world, as its a very basic hot dog place, but for airport value and cnsistency Ill throw on an extra star. Theres a slight airport premium, but I was able to get a decent, tasty, Chicago-appropriate meal for less than anywhere else (less than half of anywhere else, probably). Thats not to say I dont wish I were flying American so I could hit up Frontera. The steamed dog was lacking in flavor, so Id recommend the Char in future. The ingredients were complete (for a Chicago dog) and fresh. The staff was friendly and food was prepared to order, but quickly. They have gyros and falafel and various fried things, but I dont think Id do that at the dog place at the airport--Ill stick to their speciality, and get my Middle Eastern somewhere that does that better, and primarily. The drinks, unlike the food, are pretty absurdly priced, matching the rest of the beverages in the airport because TSA ensures people will be willing to pay (Frontera agua fresca prices, generic bottled drinks); Ill rock my water bottle and the fountain, or wait for plane bevs.

Food tasted decent, but awful management and customer service. When I stopped here they had well over half of the menu items available. Order did not come with fries like I had ordered and they had to refund the fries which took forever. No apologies from a single employee towards myself or the several other individuals that experienced similar issues. Avoid this place if there is a line at all.

I dont eat sugar or grains so my options in the L terminal were loooking bleak until I stopped in Gold Coast Dogs. No sideways looks when ordering the Gyro without the pita, the preparer took the time to line the paper boat in foil so I didnt wear my dinner and he was extra generous with the sauce and tomatoes! Absolute victory in airport food!

Awesome last-minute stuff-your-face-snack and slice of home to grab for the plane to make all your flight-mates jealous :) Not To Miss: Dipped italian beef w/ hot peppers. Chicago Dog. Cheese Fries. Other stuff too I suppose...but I always go for the former since I cant find decent variations where I currently live.

I do not recommend this place to no one Very horrible gyro it was burnt and very nasty. You do not have a option just to buy the sandwich only, prices are ridiculous for 5 pieces of burnt gyro meat wow so upset. The French fries were raw beware do not buy from this place waste of money.

We were told the kitchen was closed at the Airport location when we tried to order at merely 9:10pm. The hours were clearly posted online and next to the store that identified this fast food restaurant should be serving until 10pm. Severely disappointed in the customer service.

Nothing special. Hot dogs were precooked and sitting in a cold pilr on the grill. By pile I mean like 40 hot dogs. The bun was at least fresher. You cant order without getting fries. Their bottled drinks are reasonably priced. The rest of the airport will gouge you.

It was pretty good. Nothing healthy by any means but street style dogs. Fast paced ordering. Literally yelling your order when the lady days next. They make it fast and you pay. No great customer service but a good place to get a variety dog fresh. I recommend.
