I visited Cibo Racconto when they first opened in Rosemont,IL and it was better than my most recent visit. It started with Araceli lady at the register, i asked how a certain dish was pronounced and she had no clue? Okay fine i was there for the food. Next i ordered the Spinach Lasagna and Mac n Cheese for myself and my brother had the Porchetta sandwich, The Mac n Cheese was over fried which lost all its flavor and creamy cheese. The Spinach Lasagna was watery and also had no flavor, it did not taste homemade and tasted like it a microwaved dish, i am sure the Lasagna wasnt made that day. I immediately informed Araceli, she asked if i wanted anything else from the menu? She didnt ask if i wanted my money back which was unprofessional. I asked for the Sausage pizza since its very hard to mess that up, pfff spoke too soon. It was greasy and had no taste. I dont know what happened to this place? What concerns me the most is the workers in the back had the nerve to keep joking and laughing after i returned my Lasagna dish. They didnt speak English, i assume they were speaking about my brother and i cause they kept looking at us. Trust me i gave the pizza to someone else to eat! My brother took two bites of the Porchetta sandwich and quickly pushed it away. I hope the owner cares enough to employ some decent chefs that understand how to cook Italian dishes.

My coworkers and I come here for lunch regularly. We usually split the meatballs and rigatoni pancetta.....so yummy!!!! We also ask for extra bread which is great to spread on the meatball and pasta sauce. I highly recommend for affordable, fast, fresh Italian food. If you have room for dessert, definitely get some gelato. It is freshly made and they have different flavors. The service is fast and friendly....never had a bad experience. My only criticism is that the pancetta tastes slightly different every time we order it, but its still delish. We always make the clean plate club at Cibo.

Id been ordering from this place via GrubHub for a while and then I finally visited it in person. I was thrown. The food is legit and can compare well to most fine-dining Italian places around. But the location offers a more fast food appearance. I dont mean that as a negative. You just come to expect a little less from places that seem to be quicker in pace. Ive tried a number of things here and its all been exceptional. A recent order via GrubHub, I forgot to order one dish. They delivered it in like 10 minutes. It was very impressive.

Not very busy when I went in, but food came out fast and hot. I had the Chicken Vesuvio and it Ive had dry chicken from expensive top tier restaurants before, but this was crazy juicy and potatoes were done right as well. Took some time from when food was done and ready for pickup to get to my table, but nothing extreme. Friendly staff, great salads and bread, and pretty clean.

I was a customer who walked in on a private taste testing but the staff let me stay and tryout the food. Great People! The quality is amazing and the prices are even better! I had a Porchetta sandwich and cant even explain how good it was. The gelato was definitely the best around and also the perfect portion. I think Cibo Racconto has earned a regular customer

A weekly stop for myself and my classic car friends who all live in the Oakbrook , Melrose Park area , The service is 5 star and the food is always fresh ,the closest home cooked meal your going to find in the area, true Italian pasta and sandwichs Ive recommended this place numerous times to friends and always get positive feedback .

This restaurant if fabulous. Not a fussy or fancy restaurant. You order at the front and then seat yourself and they bring you your food. It has been consistently delicious at every visit. My family is Italian and Im picky about eating out Italian. This one makes the cut.

This restaurant is a must. The quality of the meat and sauces are way above what you would expect from a "casual dining" place. The beef and sausage sandwich was the best I have ever had and Ive lived in Chicago my whole life. Put it on the list and enjoy.

There are better choices for Italian food, but I do like the fast causal nature of this eatery. The food is okay, but nothing that special especially for the prices. The fried mac and cheese balls are good and something that you do not find in many places.

Decent food, but a bit too inconsistent with the recipes. Ambience is nice, and staff is friendly, but I just wish they were more consistent with recipes if their pasta dishes. Too bad the staff chefs ruin a well intentioned restaurant.

Great food! Friendly service. Wouldnt expect it given its an order at a counter then find a seat place. The pizza was phenomenal & my son asks daily to go back for it. The pastas are delicious and fresh.

This is a good Italian for fast food. The atmosphere is a bit nicer than your run of the mill establishment. Its cooked at order so they bring the food to your table. It also has outdoor seating.
