Is there a restaurant where the people frown and hate their jobs more than here? Maybe the Cheesecake Factory at Cumberland Mall, but Im hard-pressed to think of any others. Its depressing. Lots of potential. The food is OK. The people are similar quality to what you would find at an average interstate McDonalds. Confusing. FOOD SAFETY ISSUE: I saw the bartender who just handled the cash register grab sliced limes out of a bucket with her bare hands, and fix it on a margarita glass. No tongs. No hand washing after handling money. The date was Saturday 2/11. Time 4pm. Heavy set lady with her hair in a bun, terrible dismissive scowl on her face. She should be grateful that she has a job, with that kind of performance. I came to pick up a to go order and the food was ready in the back, getting colder by the minute. Meanwhile she told me to wait, and she served 4-5 drinks to dine in guests before grabbing my already prepared food from the back. Completely unnecessary. I asked her if food was still cooking and she said "no its ready to be bagged." Apparently because she doesnt get tipped often by carry out guests, her way to handle it is to make the restaurant look bad by serving their OK food ... cold. The unsettling part is that this is not the first time I have experienced this kind of aloof dismissive and inattentive behavior from depressing people in this underachieving restaurant. Looking forward to this restaurant going out of business, and for a new player to take over and restore quality back to this high potential area.

Prior to coming here, my friends were raving about this taco place saying the tacos were amazing and that its always packed. Theyre weekly patrons to Corner Taqueria. I didnt get it though. When we went, it was mostly empty on a weekend night. I could see how the restaurant would be a great social place to grab some friends for some reasonably priced food and drinks. I really wanted to like this place, but there were too many dings on my experience for me to give more than a 3 star. The tequila barrel bar tables outside were a nice touch to the casual atmosphere. My friends and I sat in the indoor/outdoor patio area and enjoyed the peacefulness of Smyrna Market Village. It took a while for our server to get out to us. When she did come, she was not pleasant. It was clear she was having a rough day and didnt want to be working. I got the buffalo chicken salad which I wouldnt recommend. My food came in clearly as an after thought. All my friends had gotten their food and had mostly finished their food by the time I got my food. Keep in mind that some of them got the buffalo chicken taco. The buffalo chicken salad was nothing special. The chicken was overcooked. The sauce tasted like something out of a bottle. The fixings were fairly standard. Prices werent terrible, but for all the hype from my friends, I was expecting something that actually tasted good. Final verdict: I wouldnt recommend it, but would go if my friends really wanted to go here. Allot a good bit of time cause service is terrible.

We went in on a whim for Saturday lunch. It was not busy, and our service was good. Everyone really enjoyed the Guacamole, well worth the price. We had tacos and burritos, which were all reasonably priced. Nobody raved, but I didnt hear one complaint about the food and everyone finished their plates. My son and I really liked the Calamari taco. The Chipotle pork taco was excelent, but was pretty hot for what Im used to. The server did switch plates on two of my friends, and since they were both burritos, they didnt notice until they were a few bites in. They corrected the issue as quickly as could be expected by bringing out new burritos. The only loud noise was the 80s rock, but it wasnt so bad you couldnt carry on a conversation. I look forward to going back, but I think Ill avoid busy times.

I would not recommend this restaurant if you like flavor and authentic Mexican food. The location is nice and good for large groups, but that was the only reason I would go back. At $7.99, the guacamole was disappointing/ lacked a lot of flavor, and the salsa was bland as well. I ordered the Queso Fundido and was totally disappointed by the dishs authenticity and flavor. The people I was with were not as disappointed with the tacos (Buffalo Chicken, Steak Taco, and Grilled Chicken), but I dont think anyone was in a rush to go back there. Two people in our group are vegetarian and they really liked it, so I cant say that everyone was disappointed.

Such a wonderful place! We always come here for fried fish tacos! Their beer selection is good and the tater tots are yummy - but mostly its about fried fish tacos! Chips and salsa are some of the best around. (Yesterday another customer told us about several other awesome dishes, but we havent actually tried any.) Outside is historic Smyrna - the historic graveyard a short distance away is beautiful to walk through, or you can watch the world go by from the fountain and outdoor tables in front of the restaurant.

Food was not bad, a little overpriced for the quality. But the service was terrible. Waited over 10 min for waitress to acknowledge us on a slow night, only half the restaurant filled with multiple servers working. Several more minutes for drinks and brought the wrong drink order. She forgot to bring the appetizer and then brought it out after we received our main course. Shouldnt have even charged us at that point for it bc we ended up having to box it up to take home. Probably wont be going back.

Came here expecting average food, was surprised to find a great spot. Food is very good and service is friendly. This place ranks higher in my ATL Metro taco place power rankings than I initially thought it should. Weve been to some of the trendy newer taco spots in the city and we continue to come back here for the straightforward, great experience. Dogs are welcome in the outside porch area. Well be coming back here for a while, love this place!

It was okay, but i wont be back. Service was great. food was overpriced and not very good. Calamari taco sat for a while waiting on the rest of the tables orders, which means it was chewy and soggy by the time it got to the table. The guacamole was cut with sour cream to make it cheaper to produce. Got the house special shot. Cheap tequila rimmed with cinnamon sugar and an orange slice. A strange combo, adventurous, but not tasty.

Our neighborhood taqueria with a great bar (which is where we typically sit). There is always a nice mix of people in the restaurant. Chips and salsa are complimentary, the margaritas are great (try the jalepeno one), and the food is fresh. Maybe not as authentic as some other places, but definitely fresher ingredients than you will find at most Mexican restaurants. Love their bowls, and the shrimp tacos are winners as well.

The location keeps this place fairly busy. I have been here 3 times now, and had good experiences each time. The ingredients used are very fresh, although a little heavy on the onion side. Very similar to what you would get at a Moes type establishment, only with full service. Lost 1 star for charging an additional $.75 for hot sauce (no cost marked on the menu).
