Went to this establishment this past week & was very disappointed. I NEVER feel compelled to rate a restaurant but our meal was so bland & overpriced. The only part of our meal that was good was the bread & our wine. The "Romana" salad dressing was so watery & there was absolutely no flavor. My scallops tasted like a burnt flavor & the risotto was sub par. My husbands meal was basically pasta with meat sauce & that had no flavor. We sat at the bar & the service was not good. I had to ask for more wine, water & to clear my plates. The 2 individuals working behind the bar were too busy wiping clean glasses & taking inventory then actually paying attention to the bar patrons. The barback saw me stack the plates & just ignored it until I asked him to take our plates. Unbelievable & it was not busy. Ive worked in the restaurant industry & this visit was a disaster. The bartender was nice but not very tentative. The best service that night was the valet. I should have voiced my dismay while we were there but I didnt which I regret. I do not like to complain but the more I think about it the more aggravated I get. I will not go back again. Huge disappointment.....

WERE GOING TO DI PAOLO INSTEAD! I cant say a thing about the food or atmosphere, but I will tell you about the failed and rude customer service. Called 10 weeks in advance to get a reservation for 12 and per voice message was told to leave details and they would return call with confirmation. Call came 3 days later, and I was told that they do not book reservations any more than 8 weeks in advance. Ok, Ill wait. The morning of 8 weeks before my desired reservation, I called and was told that they could not accommodate my party size; two other large parties are booked for that evening! I asked how that could be since its the morning of 8 weeks in advance. She said that there ISNT a rule about booking in advance!!! She went on to offer a pricey private dining room, never once taking full responsibility for their error. Ive never worked so hard to get what I dont want. She was not gracious or accomodating in any way about making it right. Who cares how good the food is if they treat you like they dont want you there! My advice is to go to Di Paolo, where they took my reservation the first time and told me that they are looking forward to celebrating with us!

Great food! The atmosphere is cozy, so when it is busy expect there to be a lot of noise. Speaking of busy, on nights when there are many patrons out in this area plan ahead and grab a reservation if you want to get to the table at a reasonable time: they only have a small number of tables. Loved the wide variety of excellent Italian dishes, ranging from grilled octopus to rich and creamy pasta with Italian sausage. I think there is something in the selection for every diner. The only reason Im giving it a 4 instead of a 5 star review is that although our waiter was helpful and personable, the younger staff that was charged with boxing up leftovers and clearing the table of finished dishes were awfully eager. I was trying a bite of my dates dish while we enjoyed a slower paced meal with more conversation than eating, and a staff member came and asked if we were finished. Definitely left the impression that we ought to go ahead and get out of there rather than enjoying the meal at our own pace.

Wow of all WOWs... I have never been to Italy, but I have had my share of good Italian (s) and I have to say this place is incredibly good. From the Foccacia and olive oil, down to dessert. I shared the fritto misto, and I never like to order fried seafood. The batter was very light, and not greasy. Next I shared the POLPETTE ( Veal Meatballs with lots of guilt) but they kindly substituted the sauce for their AMAZING Amatriciana sauce, which makes me say " AMAZEBALLS" with no shame in the pun! Also shared the Agnolotti di Oxo, which was heaven on a plate. I am all about this place. Too bad it is so far, as I live in Midtown. But I will have plenty of excuses to find myself Downtown Roswell over the next few months- The service was impeccable. The building is not heavy on interior decor, rather light- amazing front patio, people watching

A great place to dine. Beautifully decorated, nice, friendly stuff and good food. It should have 5 stars which could be possible. Dont get me wrong the food is good but does not bring tears of joy. Even though the individual pieces of food are excellent some of the compositions lack inspiration. As an example - a perfectly prepared "Polpo" (grilled octopus) does not pair well with plain chickpeas.

Exteremly disappointed. Not sure how this is called Italian. I have been to Italy several times and this is not what I think of when I think of my visits to Italy. I feel the only thing Italian is the menu written in Italian. The staff was very friendly and they did a great job. I would have given this three stars if it was not for the awful live music; aside from the violist - she was great.

I think I found my favorite italian restaurant...Ive been there twice and both meals phenomenal. The mussels and pulpo apps are my favorite, there are several entrees ive had from my plate or co-diners share that were out of this world. Great service, clean welcoming environment. Been to Amalfi and DiPaolo, Osterial Mattone edges them out. Definitely check this place out!

!Repeat-the food rocks! WOW! Fantastic authentic Roman Italian restaurant. Only thing missing was an Italian staff. Great Prosciutto e Mozzarella . Hard to find Cacio e Pepe was exceptional! Budino was great. This is a regular Atlanta stop! One of my favorite restaurants, anywhere!

Everything was excellent. The food reminded us of our trip to Italy a couple of years ago. Frito Misto was perfectly breaded and seasoned, seafood was very tender and fresh. Most of the pasta is made in house and it had great flavor and texture.

One of my favorite places in Georgia, let alone Roswell. If youve been to Italy and gone off the beaten path to eat where the locals do... this place will help remind you of what that is like. Highly recommend it.

Wonderful food...not your typical heavy tomato sauce and meatball type of restaurant. If you have traveled to Italy, you know what I mean when I say "real" fine Italian dining! Fantastic wine list.

Loved this place sooooo much. Service was perfect and the food was absolutely delicious. Roswell is lucky to have this gem ...and the Budino Caramellato (bread pudding) was unbelievable

We arrived one day early for our Xmas party. They were very gracious and even though they were packed our wait was not too bad. Thats a gift for 12 of us. Service was excellent.
