I cant believe people say this place has good food. I ordered the 3 course meal. My appetizer came out (fried green tomatoes) These were actually the ONLY decent part of my meal. The cornbread dressing and sweet potato casserole were both DISGUSTING....So bland. My husband was not pleased with his food as well (he ordered a 4 pc chicken dinner w/ mac and cheese and dressing). As I sat there waiting for my waiter to come check to see if everything was alright, I tried to munch on the only part of my meal I liked....The fried green tomatoes. To bad as I went to take a bite I FOUND A HAIR fried into the batter. Needless to say my appetite was then completely ruined. When the manager finally got involved she took my plate away and said she would take it off the bill. I had only tasted my sides and nibbled on the green tomatoes. My husband then said he did not want his plate either as his appetite was also ruined (he also had only ate his appetizer ( a bowl of soup) and had ate 2 wings from his 4 pc chicken dinner) Instead of apologizing the manager charged us for the bowl of soup and the 2 chicken wings he had ate. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Then she had the nerve to have a little attitude about it when she threw the bill on the table. Im a foodie and I love to eat (And tip well....Sorry to the waiter who was great). Even without the HAIR IN THE FOOD this place is GROSS and the management sucks. Im going to make sure to spread the word!

order cajun chicken salad chicken was ice cold ask it to be heat it was it was heated so long the chicken would not even come off the plate manager was very argumentative,and told me i let it set and got cold arrived 11:30 had to seat ourselves.waitress was very slow took 15 miutes to get drinks,coffee had to be brewed really at 11:30 and when it arrived was ice cold also,corn nuggets weer raw inside, and nasty,other customers can in and had to practically seat themselves ,no onw was watching the door,Manager was named Eric i believe he said,got refills of coke without asking but had to ask for refills on coffee how dumb,only good and hot items was the peach muffin,i traveled from conyers to take a lady from rh rhodes nursing home for luck with 2 others.We will never eat here again,had a coupon of 4.00 off 2 meals and it was on my phone manager had to look at it phone actually went dead how hpw long it took him to come to our table. Management started arguing with me you just dod not do that to your paying customers.He needs to be retained when i worked magement in restaurants it was always customer right which i know is not always true,but you do not argue with them in from of other customers.Party next to us was very loud.

I used to enjoy going to folks Restaurant until this past weekend I order some talapia rice chicken and dumplings with a side of greens..im the type that always look at my food when I eat..While eating about two spoons of greens and notice something black sitting in top of the greens..I wanted to make sure my eyes wasnt decieving me and showed my fiance...It was a freaking bug..You can imagine I was horrified..I told the manager about it..She did apologize..But why woould she say they have a fresh batch in the back. Im like really now she wants to kill me..And my fiance was like so you feed us the old batch with the roaches. Please be careful now days it seems you really cant go anywhere to eat these days..I spoke with cooperate .She apologized as well and stated there greens are always wash but cmon you are feed this type of food to the public..What if something would have happen ..No im not satisfied..And no I wont be going to any Folk Restaurant anymore..If there was an upload I would upload the pic..No I wouldnt recommend this place to no one..

The word is gross, I tried the 3 course meal I ordered fried pickles as my appetizer and the word is grease grease and more grease I also tried the open face Turkey with the presentation was horrible then the dessert I ordered the peach cobbler which was so small that it was like maybe 3 spoonfuls literally now my server Sam she was the best she did the best she could she had the upmost personality for this job the sad part is I just really wish that this so-called dinning reflected her personality I wish I could show you the pictures of my over greased pickles and hush puppies Im from louisiana so I know food and this place is a disgrace to rael southen food...know if you still choose to give this place a try order the fried chicken or the fish you wont go wrong other then at its time for them to shut its doors never had anything thing like that in my life!!! Those are my pics posted if the food was so good nobody post theirs pics of this so call great food , I make better gravy in my kitchen...so sad

As a former server, I always look forward to being able to pay it forward and generously take care of those who take care of me in the restaurant business. Not the case today. I will keep this short. I will also keep it classy and not call the girl out by name. Terrible service from the bottom of the barrell, the rude hostess to the top of the pyramid, the unprofessional manager. The server made me and my family never want to return. Girl, waiting tables is definitely not your forte. May I suggest everyone get your food TO GO if you want to eat Folks. P.S. This is is no longer keping it classy, To the Teletubbie rude hostess, its one thing to look at an attractive man and his family, but you take it to a disrespectful level when you repeatedly stare him down multiple times walking by while we are all trying to eat. Learn some manners and lay off all the fried chicken.

Tried to use my perfectly good credit card there and it declined, called the number on back of card and had plenty to cover the bill. Was told that I needed to figure it out to pay up or else, I was more than happy to run all over town to find someplace that I could get cash off this particular card of mine. Finally found a location sat in traffic for nearly 20 minutes before returning to restaurant with my less than 10.00 tab in cash. All because this place cant update there credit card machines and then have to have an attitude like Im trying to eat lunch without paying for it, if that were the case I would have ordered my than a veggie plate for 7.99 plus the biscuit was hard as a rock!

It has been a while since I have eaten at a Folks restaurant, but I expected better. Our server, Calyse, was great: friendly, helpful, flexible, and as speedy as could be expected given that she was trying to handle the job of server and hostess, and helping out in the kitchen because of a missing cook. The food, however, was way below par. The tea tasted as though it had been sitting around for a couple of days. The green beans tasted very much like they had been dumped from a can and lightly heated. The squash casserole was dried out and nearly tasteless. I would not go there again.
