I got food from Bella Bella tallahassee for the first time tonight. I ordered food to go so Im sure it would have been better if I ate it there but thats the chance you take when you have your food packed to go. First of all the customer service was really awesome. The lady who took my order over the phone was really nice and friendly. She let me know it would be 20 mins. I ordered the appetizer of brusetta, then our main meals were chicken parm for my husband and shrimp scampi for me. You got to pick a soup or salad so my husband picked tomato basil soup and I picked french onion. I picked it up and it was ready to go and again everyone was friendly. But lets get down to what really matters, the food. My main complaint was the brusetta. It was not edible bc by the time I got home from the restaurant (literally a 5 min drive) the bread was completely soggy. Im talking as if i had soaked it in water. I dont understand why for a to go order they were put the liquid filled tomato brusetta on the crispy bread. It should have been packed separate from the bread in a little container and we could have put it on the bread when we got home. So that was a total waste of $8. Next up the soup. My french onion soup was really good and i enjoyed it. My husbands tomato basil soup tasted like someone just poured a jar of spaghetti sauce from a jar into a cup. Next the main course. I didnt taste my husbands chicken parm but he said he enjoyed it. My shrimp scampi was okay. It wasnt great it wasnt bad just okay. But for $19 i wish it was awesome. Thats my review. I have bad grammar and its late so deal with it.

My boyfriend and I came here for a nice evening out after reading great reviews, especially about the bubble bread. The bubble bread, my friends, was glorified Pokey Sticks (Gumbys)...boring, salty, and nothing to write home about...a waste of calories and money. We read the Cannaloni description and thought it sounded like a winner,...boy were we wrong. It had the texture of wet dog food and had a slightly reminiscent taste of veal,..maybe. The texture grossed me out so much, I let my hungry boyfriend eat the rest. By the way, were both from Broward county, which has the third largest Italian community in the US, and Bella Bella serves up a sad, pretentious, poor imitiation of italian food...if that. The best part of the meal was the Tuscan salad, very tangy, tasty balsamic dressing and the after dinner mint served with the check. We came expecting to be oooing mmming and left with disappointed groans and guilt at the large price tag of a less than mediocre meal.

Inconsistent quality, too dark, skip the soup. Been here three times. First experience was good enough to bring me back with friends. 2nd experience was lacking in quality. Third time I came, which was Dec 21 I brought a big party and everything was terrible. Needed a flashlight to see the menu because I guess the owners think its fashionable to eat in the near dark. Prices have gone up because I suppose the bubble bread warrants it, but to be honest, id skip it. My 7 yr old can make better cheese bread. Do not get the artichoke soup, it is inedible. Vegetable lasangna sucks. I'm not sure the chef was on that night, many of the guests at my table had a bad experience. There are better restaurants in town, including right across the street and on Thomasville road where you will pay the same prices and have better food, consistency, and quality. Bella bella, you've gone downhill. Its a shame.

Preface: I havent tried every Italian restaurant in the Tallahassee area. Bella Bella serves very good food. During my last two trips to Bella Bella, we were seated right away, provided with waters, and were able to have our orders taken in short order. The Bubble Bread w/marinara dipping sauce is delicious and a perfect appetizer to share with a date before the main course arrives. Most recently I ordered one of their simplest dishes, Spaghetti with meatballs. It was well portioned, well seasoned, well plated. My only rationale for giving four stars instead of five is wondering if there is something better in Tallahassee. Ive had better Italian in less populated cities. If youre looking for a well priced delicious meal, with quick service and comfortable seating, Bella Bella would be a great choice.

i went here with my mom and her friend for lunch. we all had salads, and i usually do not order salad as my main dish anywhere because i feel like its pointless- i can make salad at home, why order it out? anyway, i decided to order the french onion soup and the (chef? i think) salad. very impressed with it. the soup was hot and tasty with lots of cheese and the salad was a big portion with lettuce, all kinds of deli meats and cheeses and the dressing was very tasty. my moms and her friends salads also looked good. my moms had shrimp and her friends had lots of fresh fruit. we sat outside and it was very enjoyable. service was kinda spotty but it wasnt an issue. also, good portion sizes for the price. overall i recommend. was sad i didnt get a chance to try the bubble bread (we forgot! :( ...)

The food at Bella Bella is fantastic, and the atmosphere is nice. I like the big chalkboard with the daily specials, and the patio area. But it was not all rosey and sunshine. Our experience at the restraunt was far from perfect. Our waiter was semi-professional, but sloppy. He forgot orders, gave us the wrong check, and needed to be reminded a few times to get lemons for our water. There was also a hair in my girlfriends food. We sat outside, and the tables were not as clean as youd expect them to be. There was also an array of unconventional music, which didnt seem to fit an Italian restraunt. I probably will not find myself at Bella Bella again.

Its a nice restaurant for a romantic dinner. The food is okay, we ordered bubble bread and canelloni. The best part was the dessert, they have an amazing Amaretto infused almond cake. The bad part: we were sitting outside, I felt something on my foot and all of a sudden I had a huge cockroach crawling on me. The only thing the waitress did was to say " its because you are outside, I promise we are a clean restaurant". I lost my appetite but we decided to stay. When we were ordering dessert the cockroach returned. The waitress just stood there... The host told me to wash my hands... We decided to leave.

Great food, great service. But ... the owner ...who was the hostess tonight -- AWFUL...its hard to describe how bad she was! As I wrote on the paper napkin I left with her, "Why are you so rude? We were on our way out after being insulted by you when we sat down at open stools at the bar. The food was TERRIFIC and the service was great. But you had insulted us so that we were leaving. WHY WOULD YOU ACT THIS WAY? Do you not know how you come across??????" The food is amazing, but if we had not lucked into those places and eaten at the bar, we would have told everyone, "Never again!"
