Wayback burger is a franchise similar to Burger 21, Smash Burger, Five Guys, etc. A new location recently opened near Mall of GA. Its still pretty new and is catching the attention of locals. They are getting a decent flow of traffic in which is good for a new business. The interior of the restaurant is long and narrow. Décor is like diner from the 50s. For the most part its nice and cozy. The menu here ranges from basic American favorites like burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, fries, shakes, etc. All come in some variety. You can even customize some of the orders to make it more to your liking. The food here is heavy. Its packs the calories for sure but it definitely leaves you satisfied. Overall, I would say this place is good and slightly above average. The service is decent and the prices are about where they should be. Depending on what youre in the mood for this place could be worth a try.

Our first trip here when they first opened was great. Today they got lots of things wrong to us and tables around us. For our table my son had ordered a single bacon cheeseburger with ONLY ketchup and mustard. We got his burger and it had lettuce, tomatoes, diced onions, Mayo, pickles and ketchup and mustard. My husband took it over and they scraped the wrong off but missed a few diced onions and some Mayo, seriously? If you arent going to remake the whole thing - at least put it on a new bun so my kid didnt have to eat Mayo... I am most pissed because I have worked in food service and he didnt know or ask if our son was allergic to any of it, 3 diced onions doesnt mean a lot, but if he had an allergy it could have been a big deal. ( We obviously would have taken it up again if he had an allergy, but shouldnt be my job!)

Great place. Everyone is very friendly there, and the burgers are delicious. You have to wait a little, but its all made to order, and its worth the wait. Just try not to look at the calories on the menu though... this aint health food. Oof. But they do have veggie burgers and turkey burgers, so you can attempt to get something a little better for you.

My husband got the Carolina burger and I got the Bacon Double. Very pleased. Good food. Not to pricey. Freindly staff. Had such a good time here we went to the trim be in Braselton. Came back to the Buford one today. He got the chili cheese fries and I got the really steak and cheese. Its also a plus they have Pepsi products, I like Mountain Dew.

Burgers were OK but not worth the price. The single that I had was $4.99 but it was the size of a McDonalds hamburger. Clearly not worth that price. The taste was good but not anything extraordinary. The staff was not friendly and they seemed like they were irritated to even be at work. I do not plan to go back.

The burgers are pretty top of the line for a chain restaurant. Everything was served quickly and accurately, and the staff was very helpful in explaining the menu to us. The only disappointment we had was the milkshakes. Unanimously we decided that Chick-fil-a continues to lead the milkshake scene in the area.

First time coming here and will be my last. I ordered the onion ring and fry side item with my burger ($2.99 extra) and got about 10 fries and 3 small onion rings (one of which was burnt). Burger was good so it got a 2 star rather than a 1 star. Picture shows the small and almost laughable portion.

The food is ok. The price of the food is high for the portion of food you get. I went around 7:30 and they was out of sweet tea. The staff wasnt friendly. I wont be back.
