This place turned out to be much more than expected! When trying new Indian restaurants, unfortunately I find that most places are disappointing. From the careless approach of customer service and satisfaction. When I opened my takeout meal I was impressed on the level of care and love they put in what I requested. I ordered the typical paneer tika masala. I also requested a side of onions and lemon to eat with the meal. When I request that at most Indian places they just put together chopped onions and some slices of lemons with no care possibly because its an extra service that is being requested which is not benefiting them because its free. this place took there time to make the side dish where they garished the chopped onions with cilantro and sprinkled some chat masala for flavor. For them to take there time to do that for me especially because its something they dont charge for so its not benefiting them is a very selfless gesture. That is true service by listening and following thru for there customers experience. Good intentions are always rewarded. Thanks for the amazing experience. Keep caring and providing exceptional service, heart of india! It is noticed and highly appreciated !

I have done 2 deliveries orders with Heart of India to see how good the food was, compared to Ashiana over in the Global Mall. They are priced fairly and the food tasted pretty good. It was less powerful in flavor, than other Indian food I have had, but still tasty. One of the main things that turned me off was the way they deliver. The packaging for the samosas were in paper bags, with no lining, so the grease from the food leaked. This was the way the delivery came both times, so it seems to be the regular practice. In the foodie world, presentation is a big part of the sell and this was not the best. Other food was wrapped in plastic, to keep from spilling or leaking and that was great. Its just for the fried food that they want to keep crisp, some sort of lining should be used in the bags. This will keep the mess down when you open up the containers.

This place is EXCELLENT ! My husband and I are regulars here and our favorite dishes are their butter chicken, chicken tikka massala, garlic naan, goat, lamb and chicken biryani, and their mango lassi is to die for! The reason I like the food is because it is very flavorful. The butter chicken and the chicken tikka massala is not watery like other indian restaurants Ive gone to. Its very thick and they adjust the spiciness to your liking. The restaurant is a bit small (They have about 6 tables) but its still nicely decorated and well maintained. The servers are excellent and are very prompt to your requests. I didnt give them all 5 stars although they still deserve it because my husband and I used to get a discount every time we ate there. Now that they switched locations we dont get the discount anymore :( but its still a great place!!!

I picked up some to go from here the other night on the way home from work. We had two orders of the Chicken Tikka Masala and rice. When I went inside to pick up my food I noticed the restaurant had upscale table settings and the severs looked clean cut, wearing black button up shirts embroidered with the restaurant logo, they were also friendly and made an effort to interact with me, asking me how my day was when I picked up my order. Once I got home opened the bag and found they had included two cups of the mulligatawny soup. The chicken was tender, the curry was the perfect consistency and spiced just right. Everyone in my household says this is the best Indian take out we have had so far and will be our new go to spot.

I ordered from Grubhub because I had a craving for Indian food. Unfortunately, Ive been in the Atlanta area for about 6 months and I havent had any Indian food as good as back home (Orlando, FL). I will say, the food here was great! I ordered the chicken tiki masala and the chicken mahkani (pardon my incorrect spelling). They were both well seasoned, and vibrant in flavor and color. The basmati rice was excellent. I also had garlic naan and the meals came with a lentil soup. I wasnt too impressed with the soup. It was watery and lacked flavor and salt (surprising because everything else was great). I will definitely be ordering from here again.

I will start by saying that the five star is for the quality and flat out delicious flavor of the food. However, as others have mentioned, seating is very limited (about five 4-person tables total) and the AC was nonexistent during a particularly warm day. Staff is very friendly, but can get a little distracted. The menu may be a little more compact than other neighborhood Indian restaurants, but, so far every menu item has been a treat. Make sure to specify the spice level of your food, as they default to slightly spicy - which made even this Indian food veteran found it necessary to reach for the yummy Lassi

I found this place on Scoutmob so my husband and I decided to try it out. We were extremely happy we discovered this gem on Buford Highway! The service was excellent and our server had a great sense of humor. The food was flavorful, delicious and priced well for the amount you received. Both of us ate as much as we could and had enough to take home. Its a small restaurant, so I wouldnt say its ideal for groups but overall, its one of our favorite Indian restaurants. We couldnt have asked for a better experience and I HIGHLY recommend it!

Favorite restaurant in Atlanta! I adore the Chicken or Paneer Tikki Masala and Garlic Naan most of all. The servers are so awesome there. I once arrived 20 min before close with intent to dine-in. As not to put them out I got my order to go, and ate on the picnic table outside. About 15 min into my meal outside, though I ordered drinks, the servers independently brought out to go waters for me and my friend. I was absolutely astonished by this above and beyond service. Cannot recommend this place more. They also deliver.

If youre looking for good Indian food this is the best spot in Atlanta. Weve had everything from most of the Indian, Bangladeshi, and Pakistani restaurants in Atlanta and will now only order from here. Word of warning - when they say spicy they mean spicy. I love it. I typically order medium or spicy. Ordered the extra spicy once and it was insanely hot (but awesome). Favorites are the vindaloo, aloo ghobi, and tikka masala. All the proteins are good so order your favorite!!

Ive tried samosas at almost every place in Atlanta and this place has the MOST authentic samosas Ive had :) . Overall quality of food is top notch - I think its easily in the top 3-4 Indian places in the greater Atlanta area ( out of over 30-40 Indian joints ) . The mulligatawny soup is typically a bit too salty ,but it doesnt detract from an overall excellent dining experience every time Ive been here .

I will start by starting that I have never had Indian food before. However, that was half the joy in the experience. My server (I wish I could remember his name) took the time to explain every aspect of the meal and the flavors/culture behind it. They were very welcoming and did not make me feel dumb for asking questions. With that said the food was even better than I could imagine. Great job!
