"Lets skip out on the wiki facts and focus on the food. Im trying to find out what to order on the Yelp app before the server gets back." [Time & Date of visit]: Weekday evening [Party Size]: 4 [Location/Ambiance]: Located after the fork between Scott Blvd and Church St. You can reach the spacious parking lot from either side. If theres a wedding being hosted at their event hall, there might be parking lot attendees directing patrons where to park. Inside, very well lit dining room though their way of calling out orders that are ready could have some modernization I think when things get really loud. Ambiance - Though some patrons might be coming over from the wedding hall, dont fret if they are suited up. Its still a casual attire scenery. Average to loud noise levels depending on the time and day. [Service]: Fast style; order and pick up at the counter. Condiments and water refills are self serve at the adjacent cashiers counter. [Food Highlights]: Mango Lassi - Honestly this wasnt as good as other Indian restaurants that I have attended. Its just ok, missing some flavor punch on the final notes I feel. Naan - Warmed up a bit more crispy, flaky than other restaurants by comparison but a welcomed rendition. I just wish they had options of garlic naan. Mutton Masala - A hint of spiciness but not much too linger if youre palate is more on the mild side. Just watch out for small bones while you scoop with a piece of naan. Not really much a gamey taste because the masala sauce is more flavorful. Honestly I couldnt tell what kind of meat it is, good or bad thing. But its tasty. Chicken 65 - Not as spicy as the coloring might suggest I think. But one bite and you can see why every other table might have the same plate. Its good, trust me. {Summary}: For a fast casual kind of atmosphere with wallet friendly places, Zyka is a welcomed long standing Indian restaurant worth trying. Dont let the plastic utensils and Styrofoam plates take away on the quality of the food.

Dont be fooled by its rating because it seems like many foreigners unfamiliar with what Indian food should taste like are the ones giving it a high rating. This place is the worst if youre looking for authentic Indian cuisine. This is essentially to Indian food as Taco Bell is to Mexican food. A watered down version created solely for profit, but at least Taco Bell has the decency to price your food reasonably and make it quickly. The chefs use the same two sauces for every appetizer even if theyre vastly different from one another (for example, samosa and manchurian) while the base broth for the main dishes is the exact same. Restaurants setting is petulant at best as the inside is decorated with cheap furniture and utensils are made of paper and plastic. To top it all off, service is non-existent. Literally. There are no waiters. If you are an Indian or have had Indian food before and are craving it, do a favor to your palette and go literally anywhere else.

Food was inedible - swimming in grease! I had the special, Baingan Bartha with nan and saffron rice and my husband had the Chicken 65 which he had heard good things about. Both our main dishes were floating in oil. My eggplant hadnt been chopped up, it was whole with the stems still attached. The jalepenos and onions were raw and not cooked into the dish, they were in a separate container. My husbands dish was also a greasy mess and the chicken was shredded but still had bits of bone and cartilage mixed in that he had to pick out. The rice was a bit bland, but at least it wasnt greasy and the nan seemed a bit overcooked. Service was slow, but the restaurant was busy. No one seemed to be coming out to clean the tables and the place was shorthanded the night we went. With all the great restaurants in the area that serve fresh, authentic and healthier food, I doubt we will ever go back to Zyka.

Hyped up - not good food and bad customer service. Went with my family and friends from out of town. We placed on orders many items since we were a big group. It was Saturday and it was packed. They gave most of the food items and told us couple of items will be coming next. After few minutes asked the 2 ladies at the counter about the remaining food items. The lady flat out LIED saying that she gave the 2 food items. Had to argue with her. Then she checked with the kitchen and they told her that they will get the items quickly. I dont mind waiting or if the food is bad. But flat out lying to the customer is really pathetic. Dont trust the 2 girls that are at the front counter. And food was no better than other restaurants. Too much hype - not good enough food and really bad customer service with liars at the front counter.

I had my lunch yesterday (02/21/2013) with my wife, I ordered a plate of Hyderbadi Mutton Biryani, chicken 65, & Bihari Kabab, it costed me 21.15 $, it looks very economical, but please hold on, the serving size of each plate is so less that after we completed it, we both stared at each other, guess what ?...... it didnt fill our stomachs, to be honest, if someone wants to eat only biryani, he should order 2 plates for himself.......I ended up ordering Nihari & a Kulcha , costing me again 12.17 $, I had a last laugh @ Nihari,,,, I had to search for beef cubes in the little gravy they served. Bottom Line - Menu cost looks very cheap, however it doesnt fill up the stomachs, you end up ordering more dishes and end up spending more money, not the kind of restaurant to fill your stomach for under 10 $ per person.

Zyka should be the blueprint that South Asian restaurants follow. The food isnt compromised to taste like what owners think the American mainstream craves but rather presents a delicious snapshot of the cuisine from where it hails. They dont waste time with literally any flares. You kind of have to fight for a table most nights, there isnt any service, the mic announcer calling your number to pick up your order is basically making out with the mic so its hard to understand-- but theres a reason people flock to it-- the food is magnificent. The naan is freshly made, the chicken 65 is to die for, and my personal favorite kali Mirch chicken is worth the 25 minute drive.

i would describe this as casual dining with gourmet food. there are no waiters you order and pick up at the counter and the food is served in paper plates. there is a second location in texas but this is the original and it is famous at least nationwide if not worldwide within the indian community. the star of the menu is the chicken 65 and nobody makes it as well as Zyka. another spectaular dish is the beef nihari. the naan is also great, fluffy and soft made fresh in a clay oven. as with many indian places it is closed on mondays. this is in the top 10 of indian restaurants in atlanta.

Nondescript location, with little to no decor on the inside. Basically a banquet hall with tables inside. You order at the front of the restaurant and pickup your order once its ready, so dont expect waiters. Food comes on paper plates with plastic utensils, and they charge you for everything extra that you order (onions, etcs.). Aside from the lacking of ambiance, Zyka had amazing food. We ordered the Chicken 65, Mutton Biryani, and Nehari. All of the food was exceptional, very well seasoned and delicious. Would definitely come back for the food, but maybe just takeout next time!
