Let me premise this post by saying I like Grindhouses burgers. My first experience with Grindhouse was a wonderful experience. I went to the Edgewood/Sweet Auburn location. The service was great, actually the best. The guys behind the counter were super nice and truly went above and beyond as far as customer service goes. This post, however, is regarding the Piedmont location. Sept 1, 2012 9pm, we decided to order take out from the Piedmont location. After trying to call the store for ten minutes and getting a busy signal, we decided to drive to the store and just order at the counter. When we arrived, it wasnt that busy. There was a small line and by the time we got to the counter, there was nobody behind us. I told the counter girl the problems we had on the phone, and she shrugged it off. Ok, no big deal. Then, we ordered 2 combo meals, and I wanted to see if we could substitute 2 of our drinks for 1 milkshake. Only after the counter girl rolled her eyes, did we get our answer. No. Ok, no problem. I understand sometimes theres no substitutions. But maybe she thought I was being difficult by asking for it in the first place? So, I tried not to show how much her attitude was bothering me. But then every response after was curt and rude. When I didnt see where the drink lids were, she spoke to me from behind the counter as if I was a child. "To the right, to the right, further, further." I honestly wanted to ask what her problem was at this point, but I was afraid I might get my food spit in. After being handed a table ticket and told to sit anywhere, I confirmed that we wanted our food to go, she responded "yeah, I know." She might as well have said "Duh, I got that." I thought maybe I was crazy, but my boyfriend was similarly appalled at how I was treated. We decided not to say anything and just get our food and go. At this point, we really regretted handing our money over. I can say without a doubt that this was the most terrible customer service Ive ever had. Perhaps Grindhouse should reconsider who they have as the face and first impression of their company. While I will not stop patronizing Grindhouse Burger, I will NEVER EVER return to this location. Ill stick to the Sweet Auburn location.

Dont eat here. From the minute you walk in the atmosphere is pleasant, upbeat and inviting. The staff pretty friendly also but this was the worst burger ever. I had to try them to see how they stacked up against my favorite burger joint just because they are much closer to where I live. I had a beef double while my friend had the I believe it was the Gringo special which was a veggie burger. They deliver it nicely wrapped in I guess wax paper presented well. That being said the grease was running down my arm it was sickening. Im not sure if thats intentional but undrained beef is just gross to me. The veggie burger was semi crunchy on the perimeter but soggy in the middle. For a burger to be the primary draw on the menu something was really off on the preparation cook side. We both had the crinkle fries which were seasoned and yummy so I cant speak for any of the other sides and the pricing was competitive with any burger joint. I will for sure spend the extra 5 minutes in the car and keep going to yeah burger when Im in the mood.

Grindhouse, a place where they don't give a crap about customer satisfaction.
First of all DONT get the scout mob deal. It's a joke not a deal. Unless you wanna be told what to eat. Your choice is only one burger. And if you want turkey rather than beef, tough $h*t. The three seasonal beer tastings were all dark. If you don't like dark beer, again, tough $h*t.
The service was horrible too. The server only came to our table twice. She never checked to see how were doing. We waited 20 minutes to get a to-go box. She saw us twice trying to get her attention and kept ignoring us.
We don't mind places that lack in service of the food is worth it. But worst of all, the burgers aren't even good and that's their specialty! Don't go there for a burger unless you like crappy stale buns.

Even though they are a local chain you will find excellent burgers with great toppings, including fresh jalapeños, tuned to the theme of grind house film. For years I have come here and have got consistently good burgers. If you choose medium the burger actually comes pink. To compliment the burgers you will find a varied collection of local craft beers and even spiked milkshakes. The other sides, however, leave much to be desired. On a side note, even thought the burgers are top notch and juicy the bun doesnt keep up. With so much juice and sauce a heartier bun is required so bring napkins. At this location parking is limited. If you can, walk and save the parking spaces for commuters. In conclusion, come here to satisfy your burger craving and eat outside to take in Atlanta. Be ready to consume serious calories.

Ok I went to this place today to get the apache burger from the atl burger week and I was really disappointed about the fact that the burger that they offer for this it was just a single junior size burger this is a shame and some restaurants like this one are doing this like they put a double burger on the burger week website picture but when u get there surprise is only a single junior size burger the something happens to me on another burger place this week another place called big als they do the same thing even offering a double burger but giving you only a single one even this guys clearly says on the description that comes with 2 patties and another chix patty so 3 patties total places like this dont deserve to join the burger week contest awful experience

Food was amazing, customer service sucked!!! We walked in, 3 people bartending, 2 ladies were too busy flirting with regulars and the gentleman was trying to leave apparently. Seriously when a bartender is more occupied flirting with guys at the bar (literally sat on the counter next to the register) rather then checking to see if we needed another round. We literally had to ask for drinks in order to get service. The gentleman cleaning mats overwhelmed us with the smell of bleach, at one pointing breaking glassware in the process and none of the staff even blinked an eye. Seriously get your food to go, 5 stars...eat there and just take your chances I guess. Never gonna spend my money there again unless its a to go order

My friend was raving about the burgers here so I had to stop by and try. I was not blown away but the burger I ordered was good. I disliked that they did not have the option to add an egg to my burger which was weird because most burger places offer that option. I ordered the banana pudding milkshake and it was not what I was expecting. All I could taste was the Pinnacle vodka. Granted if I was alcoholic I would have been satisfied with the runny and obvious vodka flavored shake but I was not. The patio area was a nice atmosphere and a cool place to chat with friends for hours (which I did) and people watch.
