The interior was the only decent thing about this place, though we did come in 30min before closing, we made our apologies to the staff and said we were there for a really quick bite and didnt want to inconvenience them. There were only 2 ppl in the place when we arrived. It took 10 min to get drinks and chips, and 25 to get our food even though we ordered immediately, you could tell that the staff was not paying attention to the expo.. the refried beans and rice had both been crisped by the heat lamps and were inedible. I only received 2 tacos while my date got 3? Idk why (maybe staff mistook it as dead food in the window and grabbed one after it was sitting for so long) but I was like, whatever its a good thing since I took 2 bites and quit eating, it was bland, barely any cheese and not very warm. My date didnt enjoy his either and said his tacos were just sloppily put together and had to work to try to rearrange toppings, he also didnt manage to finish one. I understand that it was close to closing, thats usually when I would rush to serve people so I can go home but our server was still pretty slow and didnt seem to check on our food at all. We got the chili con queso for $7, it was congealed on top when it came out 10min later, it was still warm in the middle but the flavor wasnt very good, queso blanco wouldve been much better. The chips and salsa were the best part. The salsa was very fresh tasting, it could have been a little more savory rather than extreme fresh tomato and I did enjoy the spice but I would never be able to take someone like my mother there and let her eat it. Definitely the spiciest salsa Ive ever received in a restaurant without asking for it. But we will not be returning just for chips and salsa, this one is a pass for us.

From the time I walked into this place and was seated, I knew I would never be back. This is nowhere near an authentic Mexican restaurant, instead I would consider this a fully American diner with a semi-Mexican flare. The place wasnt busy, yet the food took forever to come out. The place is well decorated with fake trees that make it look very nice, but the food doesnt make up for it. The salsa is too heavy with cilantro, the food was mediocre and the price was high for the quality of the food. This last part didnt effect the rating I gave the business, but I had to call them out here. The entire reason I came here was for the Hatch Green Chiles. Wow was I surprised at how they slaughtered such an amazing product. Being from Colorado, Im used to this being a staple we put in all food. Not only did this place fail to make the correct authentic sauce (similar to a salsa) that you would smother the burrito (or whatever youre eating), they also have [I believe] picked the chilies, so they arent even the same color as they should be and have lost the original taste. This is a shame that you would advertise this and completely ruin the experience. They even made their own pasty almost been sauce that went over the burrito, which was absolutely disgusting. I will never step foot back in one of these chain restaurants. Again, Id have still have given them a 1 star rating, even had they not had not ruined their Hatch Green Chiles. Poor excuse for a Mexican restaurant. An utter disappointment.

Apparently this place has been very hit or miss. Luckily for me, it was a hit! Never been to this chain before so, decided to try it out. We were quickly greeted with a smile and a "welcome to chuys" by the hostess and sat down. I like the variety of seating that this place has to offer, especially the 2 seater booths. Sat down glanced at the menu and had already decided to order the chicken fajitas. The price was fair for the amount of food that you get ~$14 for chicken fajitas, grilled onions and bell peppers, rice and beans, flour tortillas and a bowl full of cheese, lettuce, gauc/sour cream and pico de Gallo. The standards in most Tex-Mex places. The flavor was good and the combo in general was delicious. The waitress kept the chips and salsa coming as well as the recipe, which was so, nice and appreciated because they were swamped for Fathers Day. Ordered the Big as yo face burrito, and yes, it was huge and equally delicious. The sauce on top...I couldnt place the entire flavor, kind of like a mole based enchilada sauce, it was really good. The piña colada tied everything together and was perfect. I enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and my company. Well definitely be back soon. *The only con was my fajitas werent smoking/sizzling when they were brought out, but the food was hot and remained warm.

Honestly shocked this location only has 3.4 stars. Our last visit was by far and away one of our best restaurant experiences to date. We were lucky enough to be seated with Charles, one of the best waitresses Ive ever encountered. She not only catered to our every need, but was outgoing and friendly to the max. She had no hesitation when telling my fiancé exactly which margarita he should order, which he loved. All of our food was beyond fresh, and we had the pleasure of meeting Terry, the Kitchen Manager, who explained the culture of Chuys to us and the fact that all their food is made from scratch daily. Were going back tonight just because we had such a fabulous experience last week, and we really hope we get to see Terry & Charles again. I dont have a single negative thing to say about this location, its good, or its service.

We usually eat at the Perimeter Chuys and we are big fans of the franchise and have even talked it up to our friends. The new Akers Mill location is closer to our home so we were excited when we found out there was one coming. None of our visits to this new location have been great and tonight was extremely disappointing. We ordered fajitas at 9pm. At 9:30 we still did not have them and asked the manager to check. He didnt really have a good reason but was able to get our food out to us just moments before we were about to walk out. No compensation for our inconvenience. There were other issues from the get go, like how we were greeted by the hostess, as if it were an inconvenience that we were there. Not sure if well be giving them any more chances.

If I could give this location no stars I would. Bartender Abby had no customer service. If you cant multitask then this is not the job for you. Not once did she ask if I needed anything, throwing ice and tissue at the other bartender Don. Gave a little more attention to the guy on the end of the bar, but not much. Ask for a manager and the assistance manager Alan came out and gave 101 excuses for her behavior. So sad being this location is in my backyard. Will stick with the Sandy Springs location. Oh and i guess i meed to eat with my hands, because did not provided silverware. Had to get that from Don after sitting there for 3 min. Smh!!

Tho the staff is nice, the food is very disappointing to the point that it is disrespectful. It literally looked like they had the plates sitting out all day and just warm the entrees up in the microwave when the customer orders it. From the dried out rice to the withered lettuce And mushy presentation-gross. The establishment looks fun and appears to have potential of being a great family friendly restaurant, however, what they slapped together on a plate - I could have went to the dollar tree to purchase each product and create the same dish and prob better. Please do better. Nice interior, nasty disgusting overpriced food.
