I dont usually write reviews but I feel people should be aware of the experience I had there. Me, my wife, and my 12 year old daughter received horrible service by a waitress named Jackie. She was not attentive never offered to refill our drinks never offered a container for my leftovers and tossed our check on the table. She never offered us pie on free pie day and my daughter who is autistic, said "Hi, how is your day going?" and she did not look her direction or even a knowledge her. I feel that she thought, because we are African American, we would not tip her. I know this is the case because she was kind, attentive and personable with her other tables. At one point she was even laughing and joking with a white couple who sat in front of us then walked over to our table and her whole attitude changed. Since I am a firm believer in being fare I still tipped her but reported her to management. If you are black dont go to this village in. Me and my family will not return to that location ever again.

I love chicken fried steak. However Im always fearful to order it because all too often the steak is tough and dry. I decided to give it a try here. It was amazing. It was the best chicken fried steak Ive had in a long time. The outside was crispy to perfection and the inside was tender and juicy! My mother had the Ruben sandwich and enjoyed every bite. She also asked if she could get and order of half fries and half onion rings (because she couldnt decide on one or the other). Though they dont typically allow this kind of request, the manager allowed her request since they werent very busy at the time. We also had the banana cream and the coconut cream pies... which of course were delicious. Ive been to other Village Inns and have likened the food quality to that of a cafeteria. Just okay. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and freshness of our meals, the kindness of the waiter, and the generosity of the manager. We will definitely return and recommend this location!

Loved our waitress Susan but the daytime manager Terese and her little buddies are jerks. We order grits and pancakes to go for my mom at home, and we heard them(Terese and her waitess buddies) in the kitchen complaining. I dont appreciate that considering Im a paying customer. Plus she started yelling at miss Susan because she forgot our extra order. Which it wasnt Susans fault cause we forgot to order it when we ordered our food. Terese and her little buddies need to get a different attitude. I really wish I had gotten the names of the other rude waitress with the manager too.

First and LAST! We ordered the chicken friend chicken and he got the cheese omelet. The omelet was nothing BUT cheese, and bad cheese at that. the toast was black. I had corn as a side with my chicken, and it was like some weird inedible rubber and plastic concoction. I mentioned this to the waitress who said "Yeah, its always like that" If you know that the corn tastes like trash, why did you let me order it? Not a good first experience, will definitely not be going back.

Worst VI experience ever. Are they an extension of the Golden Corral across the street. Eggs had to go back for being cold. Waitress never apologized. Manager never did a table touch. When manager Dominique asked me how my meal was when I was paying, I said "Eh" and she never questioned it. Then couldnt count a $5 and 6 $1s and figure out it was $11 for a $10.15 check. AVOID!!!

The last couple times we went the service was poor which included not filling our drinks and missing part of our order. One of the times someone was having a birthday, and the server seemed more concerned with that table. Despite us sitting right next to the birthday, she didnt bother to glance our way. We actually prefer the store on Dale Mabry which is not close to our home.

I go here all the time and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. No matter how many time you ask them for things they go and do it with patience. I only had a few bad experiences where the lady was a bit rude but it was so long ago. She dont work there anymore. The pies are so amazingly delicious. A must go and eat place. Food is great. Especially the potatoes.

Ordered a cup of coffee, they charged twice after giving my mother a couple swallows of coffee, playing coffee police; subjective opinion. Should have taken a to-go cup and given her swallow in the car. Did I mention were yearly customers ALWAYS shared salad portion, which is apparently Ok by Them. These people will "Two-Face" you. Watch out!

This is the place we call "our spot" for breakfast! Service is consistantly good as is the food. Were smokers, and as such in this day in age, theres hardly a place for dining where you can smoke as well. And thats ok - we dont mind. But here, they have covered outdoor dining that smokers can enjoy! For is, this is a treat!

It was ok...... Usually I love and swear by my village inn but this location has let me down. The service was very slow. ... Took a moment to be seated even though the the restaurant wasnt full. I had to send my veggie skillet back because they put meat on it and my pie was beyond sad. This visit hurt my heart. Maybe next time

Busy Sunday morning, we waited maybe 5 mins to sit. Our server, Dominique, was awesome! Didnt have to ask for anything as she was right on top of everything. Great place to come the morning after a night out. The menu is extensive and breakfast, lunch, dinner served all day. Get the peanut butter cup pie.

Great quality food, even after-hours! I got the Country Chicken-steak and the flavor was great! For about $30 for 2 people we got so much food that we couldnt even finish it all. They did not sacrifice flavor one bit. The waitress was very kind and attentive. This is my new after-hangout spot!

Slow service waiters talked and did not do there job waited 30 min and when we complained they did not say sorry or give discount also did not cook my food right and the place needs make over but the people are nice but they need to get some training

Ive never been there but my car broke down in front of this village Inn(August 21st,2017) and without asking two employees(Men) working that morning came out and helped me push it aside. I wish I got their names. I am extremely thankful.

While the food was just "okay," the service at this location has always been amazing! Wait staff are very conscientious and friendly. Able to understand and accommodate special requests and complicated orders. Will continue to come here.

this place is so disgusted, there are food particles on every corner on one of the corner both there are tape holding the wallpaper and mold growing from it and the a/c vents are covered as well.

There was nobody here. Just US and took 5 min for a coffee. Toast and 2 eggs and cup of coffee....10.00. Overpriced .. Tasted good but too expensive for what it was. Lady was nice.
