The Servers were good, management was the problem. We had a group meeting there today, which we were on the fence about anyway after the last meeting we had there about a week or two ago for similar reasons. Tonight, the servers were pretty good. We really didnt have any issues with them. Food came pretty quickly and they could make us laugh. It was clear that they werent having the best night though. They were visibly upset and we did overhear a bit of their conversation while they were resolving it. Apparently, management there doesnt treat them well and that is the cause of it. Well management doesnt treat us well either. We were a group of six that placed multiple orders per person, and we spent a more than decent amount of money tonight. We were expecting more people to how as they did in past years, but by the time we left around 10:50 ish, no one else had shown up. So three of us left since we had to get home to drop someone off and get more work done. Not long after we left, one of the members that stayed texted us that the manager had "told them off" saying that we made them lose money since other people didnt show up. This is false, completely, as we spent more than normal customers would have. All six of us spent more than normal customers would have, by a lot. Theyre didnt change their work schedules to have extra people there (we know this because we asked the server about her experience working nights, we are a group of writers so thats kind of part of what we do :) ). And to top it off, the place was mostly empty. Every section had open tables. This is why I will never go back to another IHOP. Overall, the quality of every IHOP that Ive been in for the last two years has gone way down. This IHOP was out jam last year. Our all night work-a-thon was amazing at this IHOP. Im sad to say that it wont happen again. This group wont be going back there and I personally will not be going back to any IHOP. It is also (my personal) opinion that this manager should be fired immediately. We had an issue with the meeting prior to this, which in all fairness, was an issue with service. But, it has been made pretty clear that they are being overworked and treated very badly by this manager, to the point where one of the servers was crying tonight. And I overheard them talking about there work schedules ( we were next to the area where they take their breaks ), and Im pretty sure that having a server work 12 hour shifts for more than 7 days in a row is somehow illegal in Florida. Not an expert on it, but I feel like that violates something. In any case, the servers manned up and got the job done well tonight, and we tipped them VERY heavily ($25 on an $8 order just from me alone to make her day better). Management is the problem here. So we called and left a message with the CEO of the company since we already escalated the last incident to the manager (who was very rude on the phone when we talked to him, sure it was the same guy) and the owner of that location. Wouldnt recommend it to anyone, which is a shame cause them chocolate chip pancakes is the s***!

IF YOU WISH TO BE TREATED DECENTLY, DONT COME HERE!! Tonight my husband, our friend and I had dinner at IHOP. We waited about 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged our presence. I realize that there was a bigger party being served, but it doesnt take but a second to say "hello, be right with you" or something to that effect. When we finally were seated, the server was rude. She rushed us to order, when my husband requested no vegetables be on his sandwich she replied "its just a pickle." while that may be, he did not want any vegetable on his plate, and he should not have had to justify his very reasonable request. when we were half way through with our food, Misty, our server brought the check with out asking if we wanted or needed anything else. We had planned on coffee after our dinner, but since the check was brought so early we decided to go somewhere else for our coffee. After she brought the credit cards back, she said "if your done paying, you can leave." Now, I can forgive the other issues as perhaps poor training and poor people skills, but this comment was so outright and deliberately rude and I have to really ask why? We were quiet, we did not bring in loud children or make complicated orders. Yet we were practically kicked out of the restaurant. In addition, I called the manager, Paul, to let him know of our disappointment with the service and not only he didnt try to apologize but he actually said that the IHOP headquarters had instructed him to have the tables receive their checks before they asked for it. He also said there was nothing he could do because the house was so busy. Not only that but, the person who answered the phone almost didnt call the manager saying that he was too busy to pick up any time soon. Very unhappy with your restaurant service. Nice clean friendly place. Right across from LaQuinta where we stayed. Open 24/7. For some reason this is one of those places you have to ask for an extra napkin or two because the silverware is wrapped in a napkin so after you stir your coffee you have no place to put down your wet spoon except on top of your one and only napkin. As someone else pointed out, portion sizes seem to depend on the time of day and whos working at the time. We know this because we had both lunch and dinner here due to its proximity to our hotel room. My wife ordered the fried chicken dinner which came with mashed potatoes and corn and she said the corn wasnt well prepared. It was mushy and overcooked. However there was an overabundance of chicken which was well prepared and very tasty. Our overall experience was positive. As another reviewer pointed out, its an IHOP. Dont expect too much and you wont be disappointed. As another reviewer experienced, we did have to wait for our check and finally I got up and just went to the cash register. Our waitress was there and she apologized for not getting us a check early. To give her due credit however she was very friendly and overworked and extremely busy. There were not enough waitresses. She did not neglect us when we were at the table and was attentive and friendly. I tipped her a very healthy amount because of that.

I would rate no stars but that isnt an option. My daughter and i stayed at La Quinta Inn for 3 days thats located next door. First night we arrived, we waited to be seated for at least 5 minutes. When grumpy waitress finally approached she sat us at a table, dropped menus them rushed away. Another server asked, are you taking them? Then the grumpy blonde says, "i dont want em". .... How hospitable is that?!? After 15 minutes a male server greeted us, dropped off food, then hovered around table for us to pay bill because it was the end of his shift. Next day going in we were sat and 25 minutes went by with all 6 servers huddled up by kitchen window staring at new tables sat, and all were talking amongst themselves how none of them want to take any of the nee tables sat. WHAT A JOKE!!!!! No servers want to take tables!?!?! How do they make money?? We left after 30 minutes of not one server coming to take our order. Waste of time
