SOOO yesterday Morning, My boyfriend and I decided to head out for breakfast, but what he didnt know was that I wasnt feeling the usual IHOP or Dennys and wanted to try somewhere new....I did some research as my little mind wouldnt dare keep me from doing, and found this new place. My goal in finding someone was to find somewhere near the sawgrass area (ask me why, I dont know) and somewhere new. I came across this place called "The First Watch".,..can we just say THE BEST BREAKFAST I HAVE EVER HAD FROM A RESTAURANT. Im normally not the one for breakfast foods and dont like trying new things, but this place was on it!!! I read reviews BEFORE meeting with My boyfriend and told him nothing about the where we were going and it was both of our first times here. One of the mentioned comments was that even the COFFEE was the best ever tasted, Im not a coffee drinker so as we ordered, I sat and watched Him drink it, I waited to see if those very words would come out his mouth, and guess what people, THEY DID lol. I knew it was home run from there! I ordered the tri-fecta with multigrain CARROT CAKE PANCAKE!!!! Yup!!!! They have the best combos!!! Literally EVERY PLATE that went back was EMPTY!!!! Best pancakes ever and the BEST think was that EVERYTHING was freshly made....EVEN THE ORANGE JUICE!!!! Great customer service from our waitress Robyn (which Im a stickler for) and a really nice street view! Pricing is equal to IHOP & Dennys. DEFINITELY MY NEW FAVORITE BREAKFAST SPOT!!!

Great food, great service! I passed by the Pines location and grabbed a menu for another day (I already had brunch). I knew I had to stop in. I was happy to hear there was a location closer to me (Sunrise) and checked in using the "NoWait" app. I HIGHLY recommend using this app, else you will wait 1+ hours to be seated on the weekend. I had the Chile Chorizo omelet. Can you say YUM! Everything is fresh...the salsa is homemade; the chorizo is flavorful; orange juice is fresh squeezed; the jam spread was everything. Not sure why some reviews say the place is pricey. Prices here run closer to other well known pancake houses/breakfast chains. This is easy on the pockets for really fresh and delicious brunch. There are definitely pricier brunch spots out there, this is not one. Happy to say this will replace my childhood favorite (shall not name, but well known breakfast spot) as the food just taste fresh and place is clean. I will be back!

Out of the top favorite places to eat breakfast, its here and Original Pancake House. I dont know how they do it, but their food is absolutely delicious. The proof that the food is delicious is that many times Ive been there, theres a huge line waiting outside to get in. People only do this when the food is absolutely delicious. Ive even see famous sports stars go here on occasion. I have to drive over 10 miles to eat here and its worth it. Ive seen longer lines here than Original Pancake House so you know you cant go wrong. Im only rating the food quality. Service is another issue. Because everyone is such a cheap tipper in Florida, turnover is rampant and no server ever stays. If everyone would stop being cheap, servers would stay and then when you go back, the same experienced servers would still be working there giving you better service. So always tip 20%. I hate turnover and bad service.

Disclaimer - I actively dislike breakfast as a meal, particularly traditional diner-type breakfasts. If thats what you want, First Watch does a great job of eggs, bacon and flapjacks, according to various people Ive eaten with. If youre craving a frittata, a salad, panini, quinoa bowl, or anything else from the simple to the elaborate, vegetarian, vegan, Paleo, theyve got something on the menu that the kitchen will execute perfectly, served fast, with a bottomless pot of coffee. Ill give huge credit just for a menu thats so accommodating. The fact that its all excellent, fairly priced and portioned generously, would merit an additional star if I could add one. The downside is that its always packed and noisy with long waits - still completely worth it for the best early meal value in a 10-mile radius.

Mixed feelings about this place. Staff is not friendly and seems like no one wants to be there, our waitress didnt even introduce herself just poured coffee and walked away without even asking if we wanted to drink coffee. Hostess was frazzled and seemed like she didnt know what she was doing, looked around for ten mins at all the empty tables before seating us. All white staff (and patrons too) only black people cleaning and cooking which makes me feel uncomfortable, seems like a racist place, cant help but feel like the poor service from our waitress was because my husband is Latin. Asked my waitress for a box for my food and got one already dirty with food with a rip in it. Bathrooms are disgusting. The food was pretty good though, good coffee and pancakes, but still would probably not go here again.

Funny Im doing this review as I eat. This place is amazing. We tried to come here a week ago but noticed an incredibly long wait to get in. So we came the following week, the wait was not as long about 35 mins. I now know why everyone was waiting so long. Service is 5 stars, food promptness 5 stars, food quality 5 stars! My only complaint is when you arrive they take your phone number so they can text you when your table is ready, but instead of texting you they actually call your name out the door. Its a little misleading so if there is a long wait, DONT LEAVE you may loose your spot. We will be dinning here many more times in the future!!

They have an app that notifies you instead of the grimy squares that light up. But the wait is so long. At least my party had the option to walk around and not be chained to a certain radius. The hostess and waitstaff were pleasant. The food was tasty and fresh. I tried the fall butternut squash frittata. The portions left a bit to be desired. They werent very small but if you are hungry it might be best to leave the salad and add potatoes. I didnt feel overtly rushed but there certainly was an undercurrent. I would try other locations that are a less crowded.

There is only one little reason they arent getting 5 stars out of me, and that is because they are TOO BUSY! The wait for a table is typically over an hour on a weekend morning. They need a larger place to deal with the demand! Other than that, the place is spectacular! The food is great, the service friendly, and the experience is consistent. Unfortunately, this chain opened another spot in Pines and it has never been as good. I drive from Pines to Sunrise to eat here (skipping the Pines location), typically almost every weekend.

So i went there on Saturday with my mom to treat her for breakfast and we had a waitress that didnt exhibit the best customer service. we asked for another waitress and the manager, i forgot his name, was very nice and promptly got us another waitress who was much more friendlier. He also apologized and for the inconvenience he gave us a discount for our meal (which i wasnt expecting at all). We made sure to tip the new waitress as she deserved it. I was impressed with how it was handled from a customer service standpoint.
