Awful food. Stellar service. Host was very pleasant. Waiter was quick, friendly and did a ton of magic tricks for my kids at the end of our meal. Unfortunately the food killed it for us. The omelet I had had burned bacon in it. My hasbrowns were the worst I have ever had. They tasted like burned grease. My kids wouldnt even eat them. I asked for grits instead but they were out so I got oatmeal. We had 2 kids pancakes. One was burned and all 4 pieces of bacon were burned. I sent 2 back and remake was fine. We had biscuits and gravy that were simply awful. The biscuits were partially raw and they along with gravy were just bad. The tuna fish was literally just mayo and tuna. When we went to pay, after we had already paid the host (possibly co-owner?) asked how the food was. So I told him. He sounded surprised, was very apologetic and said if he had known before we paid he would have given us a discount. He said he would talk to the cook. He also said if we gave them a try again he could assure us the food would not be like that. Dont know if we will. This is another place that has been here forever and used to be great. Very disappointing.

DO NOT EAT HERE! The only reason there is a one star rating is because there is nothing less to give. Lets start with the only positive thing, our server. She was very nice and handled 5 large groups the best she could. Poor thing was literally dripping sweat. (Seemed VERY over worked). Now, the food is NOT worth what it is priced. I ordered two Gyro Platters and they placed the meat on top of the French fries. They were drenched in grease and so soggy it seemed undercooked. The rest of the food was okay in taste but not worth the price. My kids asked for cheese on their scrambled eggs and they charged $1.10 for cheese!!!! Typically cheese is $.50-$.75 for extra cheese. We asked for an extra side of bacon and they charged $4.00 for 3 VERY small pieces of bacon. Then the best part, we speak to the manger or possible owner, and he was literally insulted when we mentioned all of our complaints. He looked at us and did not a thing to please us as a his customers. I was def. not asking for a refund but a simple apology and a better attitude from him and his hostess would have sufficed.

This used to be a convienent place to eat....the food was alright at best but never great. They also have one of the nicest waiters ever named Jon who would do magic tricks, but after today I will never go back there. The owners kicked me out while I was trying to study for a med school exam because their restaurant "is not a library" even though I already had a meal, been there dozens of times before to study and the restaurant literally was 3/4 empty (No exaggeration). The owner literally yelled at me and made a scene saying I dont know how a restaurant is run. Do not give you business to such obnoxious, rude people (the owner and his wife), who are not appreciative of your patronage. If you want cheap, much better food go to Crispers on University, or the original house of pancakes on Broward between university and Pine island.

I will say for me service needs improving but food was DELICIOUS! I walked in and had to wait to be aknowledged. l was just turning to leave when manager approached to seat me. Honestly l was disappointed it was NOT a Lesters anymore and when it took several minutes to be noticed was ready to go. But l was there and hungry so gave it a shot. I checked the menu and was tempted to order meat lasagna but often Greek cooks make it different than l like it. I tried the chicken parm with side of pasta. Chix was moist and flavorful. Plenti of sauce and it was a hearty tomato sauce. The matzo ball soup was good and hot. They did not have rice pudding available and that was disappointing. Chocolate pudding was good but a sad substitute. Based on this experience l wont go out of my way to stop here but will try again when in area.

I have visited this restaurant several times. This place SUCKS!!!!!! Service: just as soon as yesturday, I waited for 7 minutes to be seated when the place was 1/4 empty. The hostess walked by at least 4 times before asking how many were in my part (2). When finally sat, we waited another 10 minutes, never got waited on or placed a drink order. The only thing they are quick about is taking your money. The staff is very old and extremely slow. (Not picking on them, yes, I still have a grandmother) Food: My wife ordered a cheeseburger, medium. When it came out, there was a huge hair in it. She marked the burver by taking a small chunk out of the side. She sent the food back. 5 minutes later, the same burger came back out. All they did was peel the old cheese off and heat it up. We left.

Yum! My son and I went for lunch because I wanted a gyro and he didnt...there is something on the menu for everyone! Service was quick and friendly and we thought our food was delicious and priced just right! I love my gyro platter, it came with a wonderful Greek salad and fries AND a choice of soup. I was stuffed. My son had a deluxe Burger that also filled him up and he gave 2 thumbs up. My favorite was the choice of mouth watering desserts...I am raving here about the absolutely delicious lemon desert. This unassuming yellow bump on the plate had a perfectly sweet and tart mousse on a layer of cake, my mouth is watering just writing about it, so wonderful! I hope you will try this place! We found good service, hot, fresh reasonably priced tasty food and amazing dessert here!

Weve officially stopped going to 84 diner after 4 years of frequent visits. And heres why. 1. Its not the servers, or the food. Especially if John is your server, hes also a magician! 2. But the scowling service that you receive from the gentleman at the podium or the woman with the RBF (resting bi*** face) cashing you out....to the screaming at the employees from the "well dressed " management...belittling the staff publicly is quite frankly, disgusting. Ive seen the younger staff literally rolling their eyes or even on the verge of tears type of humiliation. If youre the type that good service is important to you and also good food....youre good to go! If you have some sort of faith left in humanity, go somewhere else...skip the disappointment!

The level of incompetence at this place was horrendous. My eggs were runny and the burger was raw. It was clear our server did not want to serve us from the beginning since she yelled "why you sit them with me!?" across the restaurant. Even after we spoke with the manager (who was very nice and apologetic and I feel sorry he works in this establishment) our server proceeded to tell us the burger was no good because of the cheese... somehow it was still hazy as to why the mush raw meat burger was inedible. I paid 12.69 for 2 teas my undercooked eggs left all on the plate like a fool and that is the last dime I will ever spend there.
