I am a hometown resident and I must say the last couple of times Ive been there the ribs were burned. My Mother was here from out of town and wanted a rib sandwich, so I took her there. The meat was burned and unedible. The establishment has clearly gotten too comfortable and the customer service was worse than the product. Asked for a short end sandwich and got all kind of bones. TERRIBLE SANDWICH AND COMBO!!!!!!!!!! And again im from MIAMI. As time goes by the service and the food gets worse. Need to do better!!!!!!! LAST BUT NOT LEAST I BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF ONE OF THE STAFF ABOUT THE ROACHES THAT WERE CRAWLING AROUND THE COUNTER WHILE WE WERE WAITING FOR OUR FOOD. ABSOLITELY UNACCEPTABLE ON EVERY LEVEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow wow wow! I never realized what I was missing all this time. I was in the mood for some ribs and stumbled up on this place while searching on Google. Boy, as I not disappointed. The food is simply amazing. And they give you ALOT of food for your money. I got the BBQ Ribs dinner special and it was enough for 2 people. If youre looking for some good, authentic, soul food, this is definitely the spot for it. The only downsides are that they only take cash - which is not that big of a deal, but can be a small nuisance if youre someone who doesnt carry cash around - and, as far as I can tell, its very busy there, so the wait time may become annoying, but the quality of the food makes it totally worth it.

I came outta work n was on 119th n smelled some good BBQ. Had passed this spot n doubled back to try it out. Completely disappointed!!! I live all the way in Broward n when I got home the ribs were gummy like the sole of a sneaker. Thought the meat would fall off the bone but with this spot I thought my tooth would fall out my mouth from trying to chew on the ribs. Dont understand how you gonna be called BBQ rib shack n the meat on the ribs is tougher than leather. I just wanted to try it out n asked for a half chicken n some ribs n guy insisted I get the combo. $21 later for just meat n slice bread n was totally dissatisfied.

After driving so far to have there ribs only to stand in line for 15 mins to find out there card machine isnt working then I go get cash come back and place my order after waiting for 10 mins the register lady tells me its a hour and a half for ribs so I had to substitute for short ribs. On top of that my seafood rice was hard like they scraped the bottom of the pot and my pork souse taste burnt and to put the icing on the cake they raised there prices sad to say I will not be going back. I really wanted those ribs.

Went there and ordered a rib Dinner paid $21.00 for this dinner to come home and open my plate to nothing but bones only 2 pieces of ribs was decent. Looked at my receipt for a number there was none, then Google search to get In contact with someone and this 681 number no answer phone just ring and ring. So disappointed with this restaurant !!!! And I live in miami and also to far from there location to drive back today !! Please make sure to check your food before u leave. I doubt if I ever go back!!!

I first started out here when they was next door in the parking lot. to get a sandwich couple of times it was always burn now since that came in a new building Ive been trying to patronize them but the thing is every time I go and get a sandwich there is too much fat on the sandwich this is the first time I ever bought a slab of ribs believe me the ribs are no good there for a better choice you should try Bolegs in North Miami the only reason why I went there today was because Boleg was close

Really enjoy the food. The Bar B que sauce is excellent and you can also purchase the sauce there. The only thing that I personally really dont like is that it is a cash only place.. But thats my opinion......A lot of people know a days do not like to carry cash so when you want to eat something from here you are forced to take cash out.... over all the food is great... Love the Ribs and chicken with the Jams......

I had a bbq rib dinner the ribs and ride beans and rice was very good. The mac and cheese was not pleasing and neither were the collard greens. I called before hand to see what method of payment they accepted. The person on the other end of the phone was so damn rude and ignorant she didnt understand my question. Besides that overall I would recommend their ribs and rice.

Someone needs to train the ladys on customer service. Its one thing to wait 15 just to place am order, then get to the counter and is giving attitude, to then wait another 15 mins for food. Not to mention after waiting for so long, they run out of items for my order. Yes the food is one of the best in the city, but yall need to get the customer service together

Visiting miami after a couple years and was looking for some authentic good food. Tried Jackson and was disappointed. This came up on a google search for jerk chicken so i made the drive. Being a chef my family always tells me im too picky. This place was on the money. Decent price and excellent portions.. woild definately return. Thank you for existing

I see they have these special pics if you come there all the time and they know your name they give you more food but if you come and dont know nobody they give you less food and more bones the sauce is good they just give you more bones at the bottom of the cup you think you have a lot but you have bones more bones than anything

First time trying this place. It opened at 11 but there was already a line started by 10:30 when we got there. We had the brisket, pulled pork, a couple ribs and the pecan pie. The food was really good and staff is incredibly friendly. They even stopped by our table to say hi and check how things were.

My only problem is. You gotta have more CORNBREAD available for your guest.. Greens have to have CORNBREAD. Cabbage has to have CORNBREAD. Today i begged my friend to find me some.....i aint mad she brought me 2in by 2in piece.....lol. All i know is. The next person didnt get any. CORNBREAD please.

Customer service is nonexistent. Girl at the counter had major attitude. I ordered the ribs and chicken combo. The meat was so salt that I literally could not eat it. I tried this place because I love to support black owned businesses but this restaurant will never receive my patronage again.

The addl new location is the best on Sundays! I love the Turkey Wings, Collard Greens, Candied Yams & Yellow Rice! The food is very good & always fresh! I hv no problem with driving there on Sundays for dinner fr Biscayne Gardens, FL! Newest location on Nw 17ave & 75st

I love eating here.The sauce is the best and homemade cakes. The parking lot is a little crazy at times, but Im usually in and out. Also, they need to get the customers bathroom fixed. When a customer has to use the bathroom and unable to go.....so uncool.
