Wish I could give ten stars. This place is my absolute new favorite spot for BBQ. And as someone who considers herself to be a bit "southern" Id like to think my opinion of this type of food should be weighted pretty heavily! :) In the short while theyve been open, Ive been at least 4 or 5 times.... And its about a 40 minute drive from where I live! As far as the meats go, Ive tried everything except the chicken. Every time Ive been here the meats are super tender and very flavorful. I always get the meat platter and upgrade to include the sides because you cant have BBQ without baked beans or French fries! My favorite has got to be the turkey, which surprised me! I dont know how they get it so juicy but my mouth is drooling just thinking about it! The brisket is a close second..... Delicious! If youre a sauce person like I am, then youll really like the assortment of BBQ sauces they have on the table. Some are spicy some are sweet, but my go-to sauce is the Memphis belle! Another thing I love about this place is their sweet tea.... You can tell its freshly brewed and in my opinion thats the only way iced tea should be. I cant stand when iced tea comes from a fountain....yuck! For an extra buck or two you can purchase a larger, reusable cup that supports the Wounded Warrior Project. This is, I think, what makes Mission BBQ stand out among other restaurants in south Florida (besides their great food, obvi!) They are extremely supportive of those that serve our country..... The decor is dedicated to all those that wear a uniform from police and firemen to those who are and who have served in the military. This place is great.... Fellow foodies take my advice and go check it out!

I went in because I was hungry for bbq. I was not disappointed on the flavor of the food. You have to come up to the registers to order and wait up there for the food to come to the counter. The line went thru pretty quickly. I ordered the meat platter with two meats witch were the brisket and the pulled pork. I also ordered a side of Mac and cheese. The flavor of the meat was pretty good and the six sauces that you can put on your meat is very tasty. The brisket was a little dry and was warm but not piping hot which is how I like to eat my meat. The sauces made up for the dryness. The cornbread was also good though not hot enough for me. I love Maggies mac and cheese, it came out stressing hit and was very flavorful. I love the memorabilia of the military in the restaurant. I have ties to the military and it always brings me joy when I see support like that. I love the cleanliness of the restaurant, I will walk out of a restaurant if it is not clean and it was very clean. Hopefully the brisket well be juicier when I come back.

I went there today for the first time ever and I had the most humiliating and embarrassing time in my life. Why? My credit card was declined twice by the cashier, Alyssa, and when I asked her what was wrong she did not offer an explanation. I called my credit card company once I got home (it was a special event in my family and I did not want to ruin their fun time by calling the credit card from the table) and they said it was the restaurants fault and their server. Alyssa, should had called the company ON THE PHONE and find out that I have an excellent credit history; instead she asked me for another credit card. I did call the manager of MISSION BBQ, Kevin, once I got done with my credit card company, and he did not offer resolution. Needless to say, it will be my first and LAST time that I visit this establishment. Inexperienced workers, clueless as to how to handle problems, not sensitive at all! So much for being "mission" and all that jazz. It ruined, for me, our nice little birthday get-together. Disgusting!

It was National BBQ Day, so we decided to try someplace new. This place had good reviews, so we decided to go for it. Its an order at the counter and wait kind of place. Not much in the way of atmosphere, but that wasnt what we were looking for. I ordered the pulled chicken plate with the green beans and bacon. It also comes with a chunk of cornbread. My husband and daughter went with the brisket and pork, so I got to sample all three. Each of the meats was very tender, with a lovely smoky flavor. The chicken was a bit dry, but Ive certainly had worse. All of the orders had a good size portion of meat, so we were able to get two meals out of each. The cornbread was the typical sweet kind that you find in most places, this had actual kernels of corn. The green beans were very southern in flavor, with lots of bacon, but overly salted. They have about 7 different kinds of sauce from a tangy Carolina vinegar sauce, to a sweet Smoky Mountain. No matter what your taste in sauce, youre bound to find one that youll like.

What a great new BBQ place in east Davie. The concept here for this growing national chain is fascinating. You order your food at the counter/register, give them your name, then sit down and wait for it. But dont worry. You wont wait long. And if the line at the registers is long, dont sweat that either. The smiling faces that take the orders mow through them. And the food is worthy. The pulled pork Carolina style sandwich (with slaw) is huge. The ribs are surprisingly tender. The sausage has just the right mix of spices. The mac and cheese has that crunchy stuff we all love. They have a six pack of sauces at every table, so youre sure to find one you like. They have a fun mix of booths, tables, and high tops, depending on what you desire. And even though they dont serve you at the table, they have roving attendants that keep the dining room in perfect condition. This occupies the space of a former BBQ restaurant. This one, I believe, is here to stay.

The cashier was terrific! As first timers, we didnt know the food, process, or flavors. She patiently let us taste a few items as she described the food portions and combos. Its not a waitstaff spot. Up front ordering then finding a place to sit. Pulled chicken was tasty, spare ribs were fall- off- the- bone tender. Brisket was dry, but tasty with the addition of 2 of the 6 BBQ sauces on the table. The meal preparation was quick ... served on metal trays. The cole slaw was very good, the baked beans had a good flavor, the green beans were very salty and a little mushy. The banana pudding for dessert was very tasty. Manager Tony, stopped by the table next to us with a veteran. He gave them free dessert. Veterans are honored at the restaurant and encouraged to bring photos in their uniform to hang on the wall memorializing their service. The decor is all about police fire and Military. All Americana.
