This is the worst barbecue you could ever get in your life and as far as Im concerned its almost false advertising first of all its not homemade macaroni and cheese its a cheese sauce mix that has no flavor and I got a pulled chicken BBQ sandwich that was absolutely no BBQ sauce on the chicken the barbecue sauce came on the side so at what point does please becomes a barbecue joint Im still like trying to find it in my order I have no idea how this has the ratings Beyond one star horrible dont even bother what a waste of my time and money and they were so rude taking my order over the phone this was even a takeout order they were so rude on top of it

I originally went into this establishment with very high hopes and expectations, maybe too high. I was hoping to have some deliciously smoked meats so I ordered the full rack of ribs, one dry rub and one wet barbecue... The dry rub was my least favorite. I also ordered some wings and some corn nuggets. The corn nuggets were absolutely to die for thoroughly enjoy them, absolutely delicious. The other portions of my meal were just OK I did not find them to be overwhelmingly delicious there were just okay nothing to write home to mom about. I will however be returning to the restaurant to sample some of their food items.

Great place for BBQ. The BBQ selections look like they are lightly basted, but if you want more of the sauce flavor, youll have your selection of sauces on the table. The real surprise was the wings. They BESTED some wing places, like that horrible Wing Stop, and perhaps on par or better than Buffalo Wild Wings. Someone else mentioned the very blah Mac & Cheese, but this isnt the place to go for that, you go for the very tasty meats and surprisingly good wings. The only way you could beat those wings is with a wood-burning brick oven...

The serine was amazing, my husband accidentally knocked over his cup *soda every where) I was mortified. She was extremely sweet about the situation. The food is delicious!! We had the ribs, pulled chicken, baked beans and the homemade mac n cheese. The pulled chicken came plain which I loved that way you can choose your bbq and how much. Mac n cheese was perfect. Ribs flawless. This has definitely became our go to bbq place. The waitress was so.attentive and helpful. I HIGHLY recommend The Hog!!

Ive been a fan of Spanx ever since I discovered their cheesesteak factory on Oakland park blvd (sadly no longer there) however, they do still have one in margate on 441 just south of Atlantic on the west side of the road....ANYHOW.... Spanx The Hog is awesome! I cant stop getting the stack mac-n-cheese. Mac n cheese with either chicken or pork (i get pork) on top and a couple scoops of collard greens all in one container!! awesome staff...awesome atmosphere.. Highly recommend this place!!

EVERYTHING is delish!!! Any prude comments by anyone else can go sucks a deep fried rib! And thoes are amazing too by the way! We took the kids to eat and we are so thrilled with all of their meats, my fave baked beans in the world so far!! You can taste the smoke brisket in there. Excellent waitresses! ! My husband and I are regulars. This is one of our favorite spots in Pompano. The smoked wings with dry rub and spicy BBQ are hands-down the best BBQ wings we have ever had. These are not tiny pigeon size wings, either. Spanky, Donna and their kids make this place as friendly as home, and always ensure the customer is satisfied. Definitely a 5 Star rating!!!

Went there about an hour before they closed and they served us hard, soggy fries and ribs that must have been cooked that morning, at best. Girlfriend and I were both violently ill today. The wings were okay, but the total bill was more than we expected (over $30 for two people). Definitely would not recommend this place, especially for late night food.

The food (barbecue wings, potatoe salad and collard greens) were delicious. Our hostess was very nice and friendly. And they get the food out to you fast. This is about my 6th time visiting The Hog with my Floridian family, I actually live in California. So I enjoy it every time I come to town. Thanks for the great food and service!!!!!****

My husband and i are new to the area and we came here for the first time tonight, recommended by a new aquaintence, not disappointed at all! Food was hot, fresh, and very tasty and it was served quickly by very friendly staff. We will definitely be going back.. I had the BBQ Sundae and my husband had the Mac-attack = Yummy!

Delicious food and awesome atmosphere! Had the pulled pork sandwich that was huge and very reasonably priced. Received food fast and servers very helpful with sauces, etc. So impressed I even asked about catering events (which I learned they do all the time) and sent the details to my coworker in charge of event planning!

Tonight was just disappointing. Expensive, poor food, NOT bbq, flys bothering us while we ate, charged for food we never ordered, dry brisket, dry brown ribs, chicken like tuna fish texture. Best thing we ate was fried onion rings. Should have gone to Wings and Things around the corner!!

I went in and there was a loud group of kids looked to be like a baseball team. I waited a long time for the food and I had asked for Sweet Potatoe fries instead of the side that came with the ribs and they charged me full price for the fries. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO BACK

Great eats! Great drinks! Great service! Clean and kid friendly eatery with excellent apps, bbq and sides. We enjoyed the fried okra and pickles, smoked wings, pulled pork, sweet potato fries, potato salad and baked beans! We will back! - Tolbert family from Ohio.

Put simply, the food was not good! If you are looking for great Barbecue, go elsewhere. Ordered 1/2 rack of ribs with sweet potato fries. Though the fries were ok, the ribs were horrible in my opinion. Had to soak them in sauce to get flavor and get them down.

Not sure what the negative review was about. Staff is extremely friendly, almost like small town resturants are. Food is awesome, I order delivery at times and its rapid fast. I really like the wings they are the best. Very good food A+++ deff recommend.

beware, the portion size is small, food tastes like cafeteria food, ordered the beef brisket, so tasteless and tough.. the fries, were not even cooked all the way through,,, dont go here. only ones writing good reviews are probably family or friends

Absolutely god-awful the worst BBQ Ive ever had in my life the brisket was boiled and the ribs were dry and tasteless.Absolutely horrible youd be better off getting some frozen food and cooking it in your oven. To call that place BBQ is hysterical

I had the combo platter and it was awesome. Me and my husband were blown away with the service. Staff is very friendly and the food is amazing. They also are opening a bar in a month and we will definitely be back to try it out.
