We had sooo been looking forward to going here, as we had heard nothing but good things. So, we decided to go for my husbands birthday. I probably should have checked the more recent reviews. It sounds like things have been going downhill for a while. Im a bit hard-pressed to give 3 stars. When we got there, we were kinda surprised. We didnt realize that it was primarily a take-out place. We wanted to eat in, so the food wouldnt be cold by the time we got home. There was a line, but not too bad. There are only a few tables, so good luck finding one to sit at and eat. They were all taken up by people waiting to pick up orders. Every time we thought we had something, somebody would come and just keep squishing us over. We finally ended up with a half picnic table, facing into a dull wall. Not very celebratory. It took an HOUR to get our orders, then we were missing one dessert, so had to go back to the window. Then we opened our styrofoam boxes and discovered that none of us had any sauce - another trip to the window. One thing about serving the ribs already cut and packed into a box, is that you cant really tell that you got a full slab and I would be willing to bet that I didnt. Ive seen a lot of slabs of ribs and this was probably a bit over half. But, its not like I could prove it. They smelled really good, so I was eager to dig in. I was expecting a fall-off-the-bone tenderness that should be the standard for baby back ribs. These were more of a gnaw off the bone - dry and tough. The sauce had an off flavor, maybe too much cumin, I couldnt quite put my finger on it. The best part of the dinner was the sides. Both my coleslaw and my mac and cheese were good, but the mac was only warm. Of the desserts, the pie was the best. The cobbler was a big portion but too much nutmeg gave it a bitter flavor. Overall, for what we spent ($80 for three of us), we could have had a good dinner at a nice restaurant with real tables and service to go with a special occasion. Hmmm.....on proof reading this, I just cant give it three stars because I know we arent going back. There are several other BBQ places in the same area with good ratings - well be trying those.

Very disappointed with the service and how I was treated.. I order Baby Back Ribs 2 days in a row the 1st day they got my order wrong and gave me spare ribs instead of Baby Back Ribs which I was there and it was no problem switching back for the Baby Back Ribs the 2nd day I took them to go and stressed when I order to make sure they are Baby Back Ribs to KK and then to the guy who gave them to me to take.. I get home 30 mins away and what do I have a Full Rack of Spare Ribs (which I do not eat) instead Baby Back Ribs, I call to tell them and speak to a Marquee who now question me and saying they are Baby Back Ribs if there in a white container. which is the same container they gave them to me the day before.. And then he kept insisting I got the right order, Which I told him I know the difference in BBR & SR and I would bring them back to let him see and his response was. I will replace the Ribs next time, not let me take care of you for your inconvenience because you now didnt have lunch today which is what you came for, no he still felt they were right I was wrong and just wanted a free meal. I like the Baby Back Ribs the first time but if this is what I need to deal with they dont taste that good to be treated that way. Food was good but the service and the way they treat me as a customer/patron was terrible. real not sure if I even want to go back now to get what I paid for. instead of being apologetic sorry, sorry, sorry they were accusing me of being the one that was wrong. He said it was my fault for not checking my order before leaving WOW Ouch :(

This place has a high rating so I was excited to try it out. Im sure there is a way to enjoy your experience here but mine was horrid. While waiting in line, I noticed at least a half dozen signs that joked about being polite or having to pay for whining, etc. These signs are funny to me but I have found they typically indicate ownership/staff that do not care about customers. When I ordered, I ordered a 2 meat combo with catfish and ribs. The cashier yelled, to the kitchen, "Catfish Combo!" I asked her if she heard me say ribs, her response was "Yes, I was listening," as she rolled her eyes at me. When I got my order, the catfish was under-cooked (pink, nearly raw) and one of my side orders was incorrect - perhaps the cashier was not listening as well as she thought. On top of that, the ribs were tough. I also got some brisket which was tough and more fatty than usual and, because it was under-cooked, the fat was like gristle. I also had to wait a while which would have been find if they had given my drink to me, when I ordered. Instead, I sat in the heat (did not feel air conditioned) without anything to drink because they will not give your drink to you until you get your order. It wasnt a ridiculously horrible experience but there were so many small things that were terrible, I cannot see myself ever going back.

We will not be returning. We waited over 90 minutes to receive our food which was served cold. We ordered the 1/2 rack baby back ribs and brisket platters. The cold ribs were dry and tough. The brisket was also very cold and dry. I just dont get how it was served cold after waiting for so long. I felt bad for the families with kids in there. They dont even give let you have your drink until they serve your meal....I it didnt seem like you could ask for a refill either. We also had greens, mac n cheese, and baked beans. The beans were the only thing that stood out and was served warm. The BBQ sauce itself was excellent, but definitely not worth the wait or bad meat. The man calling out the numbers was rude, rolling his eyes at customers who had to climb over all the other people waiting for their meals because they couldnt get to the counter fast enough or they had trouble hearing him. There is little seating and its not the type of place where you can do anything if you are unhappy other than not return because the staff could care less. It was just a bad experience and pricey for what you received. The rude man at the counter is why I gave it one star. I cant stand business owners who are rude to their customers.
