I am only giving it one star because I have to put one, but if it were up to me it would be negative 5 stars. I took my nephew and brother in law who were in from Atlanta to eat there on a Thursday night. It took a while to get some service, when we did our dinner was a debacle to say the least. The waiter came and told us what liquors they were out of, Grand Marnier and all Tequilas, so My nephew and I ordered a beer, and my bro in law orders a rum & coke After 10 minutes later the waiter brings the drinks, I ask why the 10 minute delay for drinks when there is literally only 5 tables being occupied. She said the bartender was new and couldnt find the run. I said OK, and I let it slide. After 10 minutes we order another round of drinks, and my nephew and I get the same beer and my bro in law orders another drink this time it was a drink that had Grand Marnier and Patron, they bring the drinks right out this time a little less wait. I notice and tell the waitress, how did you make this drink if you are out of Grand marnier and Patron, she then replies good point, let me check with the bartender. She comes back and avoids the question, and asked if he wanted another drink. We then order some Nachos as an appetizer, and also order our meal. I order a 1/2 rack of ribs with baked beans and fries. The nachos come out, and the waiter forgets to bring us plates and utensils to eat, she said I will bring them right out. She comes back 5 minutes later and brings us a pulled pork sandwich, I said excuse me, but we didnt order this, she said yes we did. Apparently this sandwich was ordered by another table, she takes it back with no apologies. After 25 minutes later she brings out my food, the ribs and baked beans were cold, and the fries were burned. At this point I ask to speak to the manager, he was extremely nervous and he was shaking. He said today was his first day, and the restaurant was under new ownership. He promised to get me my food right away, at his point I knew that they were just going to heat it up in the microwave. After we eat, they bring us the bill and the pulled pork sandwich was on our bill. I ask for the manager again, same situation, nervous and shaking. He fixes the bill and delivers it to us. I ask to speak to the owner if he was present, he said he was not present. So he said he will call him, he goes to the back and said the owner was unavailable to speak at the current moment. I leave him my number, as I am a local business owner and I know how important it is to take care of your locals. Until this day I have yet to receive a call from the owner. I would personally never go back to this establishment ever again, nor would I let any of my friends eat here either. The food and service was so much better before the ownership which will probably be closed soon. For those of you that are looking to eat real good BBQ, go to Tom Jenkins on Federal. I would rather eat a McRib from McDonalds that eat from this place. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Food was beyond subpar. I had pulled pork (only because they had no brisket prepared, no they didnt run out, they didnt have any ready to serve) which they manage dry out and they tried to hide it by drowning it in in BBQ sauce which terribly over powered the flavor of the pork. Against my better judgement I ordered the fried brussel sprouts and "bacon" (which didnt exist in the dish at all). The texture was horrid but the worst part is that they tasted raw and bitter in the center. Which again it seems they tried to side step by using a balsamic vinegar sauce and it just didnt work. I also had the Mac and cheese which was bad at best with a grainy texture coating the Macoroni and a layer of what looked to be butter fat collected at the bottom on the bowl. But the most egregious offense was the fact that it was so bland. No salt yet there was a slice of American cheese melted nicely on top. Finally there was my drink which really was the first red flag of the quality of the food. I asked for a lemonade which tasted like it had been watered down through out the day. No sugar, no lemon flavor but lemon scented water thatll be sticky if spilled on a surface? sure! The only good thing we (my girlfriend and I) had that was good was the peach butter served along side her dry and solid corn bread. Honestly this place is trash and I think if you want barbeque in Miami your better off at Brother Jimmys.

Had to wait 20 minutes when we arrived to even be seated because the kitchen was backed up. This itself was not a huge deal but I didnt understand why we couldnt at least get a table to sit at since we had a baby with us. Also the wait staff interactions were very unprofessional, multiple times I witnessed what i assume was one of the upper wait staff cursing out the hostess over what appeared to be miscommunication. When we did finally get a table our waiter was only okay, not very attentive to us. We ordered some drinks that were supposed to be alcoholic, but I couldnt even taste any alcohol in them, nor could my wife or friends. We ended up ordering this large meal that says it feeds 4-6 (just under $100 bucks, worth the price for what you get on paper). While the food was plentiful for the 5 of us, the food itself was subpar. I expected the ribs to be fall of the bone but they werent even close and did not taste all that good. The chicken was decent and well cooked, but nothing great. The pulled pork and brisket were average at best, but the barbecue provided helped a lot. If the wait staff was more professional and attentive I would possibly consider going back (kitchen was backed up so that could be why the food was subpar), but since they were not that will not happen. 2 stars because the food did fill us up, but that is about it.

Last night I was eating at the Pride and Joy BBQ in the wynwood area of Miami on 11/12/16 at 10:45 pm until around midnight. My waitresses name was Charlotte Mirebeau and I have reason to believe that she knowingly took my debit card after I accidentally left it at the restaurant. She then proceeded to make a series of fraudgelent charges totaling over $600 the following day. She was the last person to have my debit card. Charlotte made numerous statements that night about her poor financial situation, aspirations for a better life and a lot of other personal details to build sympathy towards her. I used my community first credit union debit card to pay for my meal and accidentally left it on the table. I was there very close to closing and saw Charlotte clearing off my table. I did not realize that I did not have my debit card until the following morning. Upon realizing it was lost I checked my accounts and saw two charges of $289 each to Toys R Us. I called my bank, canceled the card and they informed me that more charges had been attempted but were declined. I called the restaurant informed them of the incident. They told me that there policy was to keep lost items locked and stored away and that since the policy was not followed that night they will be leading there own investigation.
