Beautiful place, great staff!! We stopped in for an early dinner at 3pm the Hitachi side of the restaurant was not quite open yet,We were seated quickly non the less and appetizers were served just as fast! there was no waiting for others to fill our table even though we expected it as there were only 2 of us. The chef was very personable and the food was fantastic! He re ignited the onion volcano a second time for me to get a picture of it when He saw me reach for my phone n realized i missed it the first time, He was very gracious We very much appreciated not being turned away because there was only the two of us, we had a great experience here and hope to return soon.

Our first visit to the new location - obviously much larger than the previous and more to offer. We only wanted sushi so we grabbed two seats at the bar and settled in for a nice meal. Chef prepared a delicious crab salad as a greeting appetizer - excellent!!! The server was right there to take our drink orders and returned promptly. Next came some Edamame while we waited for our rolls. We ordered three rolls (I can never remember the names) and each was absolutely delicious. And best of all, the prices were very reasonable compared to others in town. I highly recommend Osaka for those looking for excellent service, friendly staff and best of all - delicious sushi!!!

Would give it a zero if I could. Came down from Tampa to visit relatives. Stopped by based on 4.3 star review. Place was okay, confusing though Japanese, and Thai mix menu. Food was really bad. Chicken was tough in two different plates, soup and regular. Katsu was off flavored. Sushi was thickly cut, and the rice was not sushi rice, sea weed was thick, cheap and fishy tasting. The fish was not sushi grade, and had no flavor. Tempura was very oily tasting and it dripped oil. As we exited the police had to be called over a rowdy half dressed patron, who should have never been allowed in the restaurant. I would not return here. Disappointed especially with reviews of 4.3!

Best sushi in town and has been for years. Monk and crew have been serving SWFL fresh fish, mouth-watering Hibachi and great Thai dishes for over 30 yrs. Id know. Ive put in 30 years too, but as a returning customer. Need I say more? Yes. okay...well simply put: when you go to Osakas, and experience the great food together with their friendly service and upbeat atmosphere, youll understand why Osakas has become everyones "go-to" place over the years. Whether youre doing a birthday party, or getting a large group together, or if youre just flying solo...Osaka wont disappoint.

My family and I had lunch here Saturday afternoon. Apparently the hibachi side wasnt open but they still sat us there. So that was super neat!!! Our was chef fantastic, he even let my son go around and try to crack the egg. Needless to say he failed but Im sure hell keep trying at home... I can see it now, eggs all over walls and floor, lol thanks chef!!! Our chef was very personable and took pride in what he does. I will have to say there seasoning and quality of food wasnt up to our standards, Ive definitely had better but the chefs performances will bring us back. Thanks

Saturday night arrived at 6:30. Seated the four of us immediately to join 5 others. By 6:40 all of our orders were taken. Drinks arrived minutes before. Speedy service! Soup arrived at 6:42. Salad at 6:43. Now thats efficient! Sushi arrived at 6:57. Tableside Hibachi Chef greeted us promptly at 7 after we had sufficient time to finish the delicious soup and salad. Drinks refilled at 7. Great service! Food was prepared to perfection. Tasty and plentiful. Placed on plate by 7:10. The whole process was fun and memorable to celebrate a family birthday.

We waited thirty minutes to be seated at a table without enough seats. They then had us squeeze our friend in after making him stand up and wait. All our plates were touching and we couldnt move without bumping into each other. Staff acted like they had no idea what was going on. We also called before hand and was told we had a reservation. We called back later and were told they didnt accept reservations. Called again and were told we could hold our place in line. When we got there we were told they never spoke to anyone. Awful experience.

I went here for the first time for a friends bachelorette party. I was thrilled with our chefs personality & amazing skills on the grill. He was smiling the entire time & seemed to really enjoy his job. The food...oh that was amazing too! The filet mignon was so tender!! I ate so much! I plan on bringing my family there next weekend so they too can enjoy the ambiance & food too! Actually, I plan on making this my new favorite place especially for celebrations!! Job well done!!

Our soup was the best part of our visit. Prices were reasonable (although we did not get sushi due to the prices), but the drunken noodles were very salty and the other entree was bland. Good enough service, but the guests who were sat st the nearby table were told to hurry because the kitchen and sushi bar was closing soon, even though the restaurant was open for another 45 minutes.

The best Japanese Cuisine Ive ever had in SW Florida. We went for Hibachi but it starts at 3:00pm so we ordered off of their lunch menu. The hostess was very helpful in choosing their popular dishes & also brought out an extra appetizer just for us to try. Everything was AMAZING and fresh. I will continue coming & referring friends and family to this place.

this sushi/hibachi place is amazing. the staff are friendly. what bothers me a little is their waiters or busboys are kind of too young to serve and clean tables? theres a lot of people that work there. food=great, staff=friendly. the service was okay but would come here again bring my buds here. isnt there staff too young? the age to wait tables is 18?

This is by far my favorite hibachi style restaurant in Lee County. I was born and raised in Fort Myers, Fl and Osakas has been a Local favorite. The sushi is awesome, and the hibachi chefs are personable and entertaining. If you are lucky enough to have "PING" or "LOT" prepare your food, you will NOT be disappointed!

I give Osakas three starts because the sushi tasted so so. The food presentation was above average. The wait staff was friendly, however several employees were standing together talking really loud. The dining area (sushi bar) was clean and well presented. The sushi menu has several options ranging in price ($8-$22).

Ive been going to this restaurant since I was seven years old and its still my favorite place to eat in town. The staff is friendly and efficient and the food is cooked to perfection. Best Japanese restaurant Ive ever visited...and Ive been to many all over the world. You wont be disappointed.

This is the best sushi place we have eaten at in Ft. Myers. Oragamis used to be our favorite but this place is by far much better. They have fresh uni and tuna. Service is occasionally on the slow side, but the food is well worth the wait. We would recommend this place to anyone.

The food was great! The servers were very attentive and took care of everything, never had to ask twice, if at all. The cook was entertaining and very personable. It was a great birthday with my family. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was decorated really well. A++
