First time and LAST TIME! Never show up when this place first opens for dinner at 5pm. Youll be parked at their bar until enough people show up to fill one of their hibachi tables. Visited the Mens room to find there was no hand-soap in sight. I immediately marched the Manager into the mens room and asked him if he noticed anything missing.....Oh, yeah sorry we have been meaning to install this dispenser as he reaches into a vanity draw and pulls out a wall mounted soap dispenser that needed the mounting. Nothing installed confidence about this place. The manager seemed to be a stranger to the food-service business. Once seated (around 5:30). It is another 20 minutes before you see anything that resembles food. Not a good thing if you took any medication before leaving home that requires food ingestion within a given time like so many modern Diabetes medications require. The Miso soup was authentic and edible. the "Garden Salad" was small but tasty. About 6:00 out comes the table chef, who was friendly and cheerful. As he prepared the fried rice and vegetables I cringed when he started telling jokes about a Jewish Chinese man.....I tuned out at that point and cannot recall anything else other than thinking that this fellow has never run for any political office. The rice and vegetables were tasty. But it took another 20 minutes for the meat to be cooked and reach the plates...So you sit there for a good 20 minutes with this steaming rice and vegetables starring back at you with no main course to accompany it......Totally unacceptable in the Restaurant business. The chicken was way overcooked and extremely dry. The beef (all 8 chunks of it) was cooked properly and was of good quality...too bad you get less than 2 ounces of it when ordering a split meal (chicken/steak). There are better ways to drop $50 for a dinner for 2 then this place....Save your money and hit the Cheesecake Factory in Naples.......Even Outback would have been better than this place!

I have to say that I have been here in the past and I dont know what is going on with this place I have heard that chef Kenny is in jail and his brother is running the restaurant so maybe this is why he just does not care its not his business but I will tell you about my experience......Fist we got there at 7:30 we had reservations for a hibachi table, they sat us separate we were a group of 10 it was my sons birthday so both groups had different chefs, it all started when our chef started making really obnoxious jokes even using the F word when there was a nine year old in the table, then he threw food at me and my husband(not on purpose but still I never seen that before) he looked like he was either drunk or on something, his teeth were rotten looked like from drugs, we finished our dinner and the other group still had not eaten its now 9:15 so now their chef comes in mind you this was chef Kennys brother (the owner) he starts telling the clients that he was late to work because he shouls have been there at 4 but slept till 6 now he starts cooking and burns my sons arm while cleaning the stove or whatever thats called, this guy was on drugs the stove was already cleaned and he kept cleaning and cleaning, his teeth were also rotten he did not once apologize to my son for burning him we got up and left never again....Never ever have I experience such unprofessionalism before.

I Never write reviews but this had to be shared! I strongly believe that the positive reviews posted here must be from the owners / employees. I Really wanted this to be a great sushi place. I just moved 2 blocks away and was looking forward to having a regular sushi spot so close by. I was pleasantly surprised by the interior. I popped in and ordered some sushi to go to try them out. When I actually ate the sushi it was HORRIBLE! The tuna was so weak and pale and the cut was horrendous. Every bite had strings that was Unchewable! I have to say that I truly believe the tuna was not fresh but frozen- which is a huge no no! This is not a joke- my husband and I Actually used what was left over for Bait! Maybe they gave us frozen left overs because they thought they could get away with passing that off to Take Out customers- but they messed up! We eat sushi at least once a week! This was their shot to make a great long term customer. The Publix sushi is way better and that is crap! Not sure why it was so bad- but I won't waste my hard earned money for expensive fishing bait ever again!

Went here for dinner for 2 of my friends birthdays with a group of 12 people. Upon arrival, our group was told they couldnt sit down at our table until the entire group was there even though we had 3 elderly people with us. After being seated, the waiter promptly took our drink and dinner orders and not long after the table chef arrived. The chef was very entertaining, engaged our entire group and truly was the only reason I didnt give the review less stars. Some of our group ordered outside of the hibachi menu and never received their orders until after we inquired about the missing food and by the time their food arrived the rest of us were already done eating. We were given excuses that the kitchen was busy (th restaurant was near empty) but it was very evident the waiter never put in the order. He also never apologized or offered to take anything off of our check. Although the food (that was actually served) was good, the ambiance of the place was very dated inside and out. There are much better hibachi restaurants in SWFL and I dont think any of us will be returning any time soon.

I have been going to Sakura for years and I honestly never had a problem with them until quite recently (about a year or so). Ever since recently their service has been utterly crap. Both times I have been here we have not been even acknowledge by a waiter or waitress until 15 mins after we have been seated. Like come on, you guys dont even have that many tables at this place. Ive been a server before its not that hard. This last time I went we spent 3 hours waiting on sushi that is "backed up" I say that because the restaurant eventually died down and I was still wondering why I was waiting on a roll I ordered over an hour ago. I believe that if you provide good service you will receive a nice tip at least from me, but if you dont Im not obligated to give you anything. Apparently, they dont feel that way so they had the audacity to add their own tip to my bill. Dont go here. This place, which was once really good, has turned to crap and its really sad that it had to come to this.

My boyfriend and I have been here twice and decided never to go back again. The first time we went, we went for the endless sushi, but the service was terrible and were ignored for at least 20 minutes upon sitting down (no drink). But the sushi was delicious and a good price. We decided to give the restaurant a second chance and the experience was terrible. The waitresses were very unorganized with our orders and argued with us when we mentioned it. We listened to some of them mumble rude comments under their breathes as they walked away from other tables. Overall, the waitresses were rude. I understand that it was busy, but that was no excuse to act the way they did as waitresses. There needs to be a better system (only one waitress for a table!) and maybe consider hiring more people. I am sorry to say that we will never come back here. If you plan on going, plan on spending a lot of time waiting on food dealing with unorganized waitresses.
